Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have taken Galina for physics 1 and had any of the previous exams.
Anyone got one for sale?
Sophomore year and yet no core friend group😭
I'm thinking about transferring to csub as a communications major with a concentration in pr. I am from Bakersfield, so it is convenient, but I have been accepted to other well-known universities down SoCal. Before moving down to a more expensive town, how is the comm program here? I was thinking about joining PRSSA, too. Is there chapter here in bakersfield very active?
I have a high school diploma and some college but no associates degree, which trade school would be best to start a tech career in order to get a job? I want to make lots of money and also I’m great with computers, I been using computers since I was 7, I’m (24m) now.
(Paid apprenticeship opportunities would be perfect, to help pay rent.)
Also how long would the trade school last until I land a job, and does the school help me find work?
Are there trade schools that pay you to attend and learn?
Hi, guys. I’m tryna make new friends on campus.🥹
What's up, fellow CSUB students and alumni!
So, I've been out of school for almost two years. I graduated with a BS in Computer Science, but as you guys may have noticed or heard about, the entire software industry has taken a major nosedive, with the whole bay area companies dishing out massive layoffs. As a result, competing with former software engineers with a few to several years of experience, especially at a Big Tech company, has made finding work for new grads an utter nightmare.
I guess, maybe I'm looking for some advice, but I'm thinking of going back to CSUB and get an Electrical Engineering degree. I heard job prospects are good in this field and the interview process isn't a nightmare like it is with software jobs, where candidates are expected to go through about a half dozen interviews.
Should I go for it and say goodbye to my hopes of ever being a software developer?
Anyone have this book and is willing to let me use it this semester? My financial aid didn’t hit and I can’t afford a 50 dollar ebook right now.
International student here. Considering applying to CSUB spring session next year. But rn i have an offer letter for UTS australia.
Here’s why i’m considering CSUB:
• I’m a music producer and artist. Being close to LA will give me immense opportunities to work with a lot of people and grow my career. • Heard CSUB is relatively cheaper than other US colleges. • Pursuing Computer Science, and heard it’s kinda good at CSUB (i might be wrong though) • Heard the culture at CSUB and socializing is pretty good out there.
UTS is a good university too, especially for STEM. however it is slightly expensive, and might affect my music career (again, i might be wrong)
so is it worth applying to CSUB or nah?
does anyone know if csub has dining food for the residents? 😭 how does it work for the people living on campus? is the food any good?

Anyone else apply for the IT internship offered by CDPH for next semester? Just wanted to try and make friends within the program in case we end up getting selected :)
I linked the flyer below
Hi,
Out of curiosity, is the library open to the public? Not to check out books, but just to have a quiet place to study? I'm an alumni from CSUB but it's been about four years and I can't remember if the public is allowed to enter the library to study on the 2-4th floor. I know we can't have private study rooms, but are the open floor study areas still available to the public?
Thank you in advance!
Someone said there's not really online classes at CSUB? Is this true? That would be such a bummer because I live out of town, it'd be a crazy long drive.
I'm just kind of out of the loop, I recently decided to go back to college and am in the middle of transferring from BC. I'm going for Liberal Studies and Psychology, and planning on getting teaching credentials.
Thanks for the help to anyone who has time to respond. :)

Hello everyone! Consider grabbing a bite at Raising Cane’s on Stockdale Hwy on Friday, April 19th between 2-10pm in support of CSUB’s nursing class! Please mention the fundraiser at checkout 😁
I was looking at what to do for housing but am not familiar with the area. I looked at student housing but it is not as price friendly as it looks when you account for mandatory meal card which seems like, at least at a glance, you will run out of money on if you rely on it for most of your meals.
Are there any housing areas near the campus that are well received? Do we have a place where students go to discuss going in on a place together?
hey!
I’m wondering if anyone has heard back with a decision in they got accepted or not into the MSW program for the upcoming year. I know they sent out an email that decisions would be sent out by Monday but I’m so anxious and curious to see if they’re doing waves of accepted, denied, waitlisted. any help is appreciated, thank you!
