Can someone explain ?
Okay, so I loved Witcher before it was a game and I loved the games immensely. Not the same with cyberpunk - knew the genre but wasn't aware of the table game. So, after all this time I finally thoroughly played Cyberpunk this year, and the thought appeared. Which fandom exactly would I just love to be "done" the same way they did these two? And, I came to a conclusion, that for me it would be Parahumans hands down, never mind any other book or otherwise fandoms that have the same amount of lore and stufd. Imo it's doomscape all right and at the same time very lore intense. I know it's not really a thing, ofc, but this is the only fandom that first popped up in my head when I thought about it. I don't even like that fandom as much, because the story becomes eldritch horror but the lore and whole sandbox it could be just somehow seems so playable.
Idk if it's appropriate to write this here, but the question is, anyways, what books/ideas/old games do you think might be better if they got the Witcher treatment? Which would glow up as much? 🤔
I’m trying to claim the free rewards thing and it’s telling me to make an account, I did that pressed the continue button and it’s just loading and loading?
Honestly, it's a given that modern consoles just can't handle raytracing at 60, or even 50 fps. But we've seen quite a few games handle 40fps wonderfully with raytracing.
Why isn't there more investment for this perfect middleground on consoles? Is it just unawareness of how much better 40fps looks than 30fps?
Really, if you haven't ever played 40fps, play a game in 30 fps and 40fps on 120 hrz. You will instantly feel the difference. Ratched and Clank on ps5 is a completely different experience in 40fps.
Cyberpunk and Witcher are held back quite a bit by not having a 40fps option.
For those who don't understand why 40fps on a 120hrz screen is a gamechanger:
been going around all the subreddits related to the Witcher and discussions come up everywhere with lots of people have thoughts that the next Witcher game wont release until 2028+ and beyond, to me this is a ridiculous prediction so id like whoever thinks this to explain why they think so.
why I don't think CDPR will wait until 2028+ to drop the next game in their pipeline (which is TW4 Polaris), and why I think 2026 is a far better bet:
*The mind of the person who thinks CDPR wont drop their next game in the pipeline (TW4) until 2028+*:
2007 - Witcher 1
2008 - Witcher 1: EE
2009 - Nothing
2008 - Nothing
2009 - Nothing
2010 - Nothing
2011 - Witcher 2
2012 - Witcher 2: EE
2013 - Nothing
2014 - Witcher Mobile Adventure Game
2015 - Witcher 3
2015 - Hearts of Stone DLC
2016 - Blood & Wine DLC
2017 - Nothing
2018 - Gwent Online
2018 - Thronebreaker
2019 - Nothing
2020 - Cyberpunk 2077 (They began work for Witcher 4 here based on their earnings reports of them funding)
2021 - Witcher Monster Slayer
2022 - Gwent: Rogue Mage (They announced Pre-production here for Witcher 4)
2023 - Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 + Phantom Liberty DLC
2024 - Nothing (They announced they are moving to Full-production now)
2025 - Nothing
2026 - Nothing (My predicted release for TW4 is 2026 but according to alot of people around witcher subreddits they think not 🤷♂️)
2027 - Nothing
2028 and Beyond - Witcher 4 (according to alot people on witcher subreddits)
yeah sorry for yap session, 2028+ is a stupid estimate and if anyone could explain how 2028+ makes sense for the next game in the pipeline to release then please do. 😭 nothing for 5+ years is crazy lmao
I understand 2.0 was big on making game better and everything but I beg they revisit just to add individual save slots for different characters I have 3 types of characters and I've already lost on someone where after 100 hours 😭, pleases CD Project Red revisit cyberpunk for minor tweaks and quality of life before Orion
talking like a CGI Cinematic trailer that's all, short not to revealing of the story. Some insight to protagonist and world setting/chronology. I'm thirsting for one hopefully this GOTY show 2024, CDPR usually starts marketing abd reveals 2 years before release
How did CDProjektRed conduct their research for coming up with the scientific ideas of the cyberware in cyberpunk? I am studying neuroengineering and I find that a lot of the proposed technology is futuristic yes, but rooted what seems like viable implementation. Many of the cyberware seems quite plausible given better technology, that might be procured in the future. So I was wondering if anyone knows how or who they spoke to, to root their concepts in current scientific viability?
Okay - honestly this may not be the place to bring it up. I am just looking for a chance to be a Producer for Project Orion, I don’t have experience in the game industry but that’s because I have been rejected for the last 5-7 years of getting in, since then I’ve done everything I can to make sure I can bring in value by being a Product Manager and taking Game Production courses. Since I’ve heard they’ve been developing a Boston branch and me being local I’ve been preparing to nail this role.
Well the time has come and I’ve applied, I’ve attached everything my resume, a cover letter, and my portfolio. I almost damn near attached my notes on the company (which is well over 30 pages at this point), I mean I have everything from GDC talks, to DICE, to the Podcasts, and even Producer classes I took with CDPR. I feel like I’m well prepared for this role even without having game industry experience, but everytime I see other people in the industry have like 10-15 years of experience and applying to these mid-career roles just makes me feel overshadowed.
Again, sorry for the vent session and just rant. This may not be the best place for this, but was wondering if anyone else well in there career had any advice on what I could do?
Hello i have a question. I own Witcher 3 on Nintento Switch as a card. Is it possible that i can play it on PC without buying it second time? Or i have to buy it separately on PC ?
Just watching the gaming and graphics industry in general, and playing through Phantom Liberty, I'm so curious what Epic and CDPR are collaborating on as far as tools. Red Engine is amazing, Unreal is industry lead - given how open CDPR was with changing to Unreal, my guess is that they're saying, "Hey Epic - we have all these tools that work this specific way. Unreal needs to allow us to do these things." Therefore, anyone using Unreal should benefit.
Or is it the other way around? Red Engine is having to catch up nonstop to Unreal, and Unreal had tools that put Red Engine to shame. I'm sure it's a feature by feature basis, but I'd love to be a fly on the wall during these meetings.
I was thinking will it just be called its own project name? Like "The Witcher 4: Polaris" or will it not have a "4" in the name or will it be called something else other than its project name?
I think CDPR might make a distinction with this games title since it is a new saga and beginning of a new trilogy. What do you think?
I have a hard time articulating this, because.. I do want an honest discussion, but Reddit moderators are well known for censorship of dissident opinions so I fear this topic will be removed. But if there are any kind and democratic moderators out there I hope they won't...
Given the trends in industry today, where activism is more important than actual gameplay and quality storytelling and with the reports of new hiring practices in CD Project Red, do you have confidence in Witcher 4 maintaining the series quality? Or are all the signs there that it is going to be... extremely different. With Geralt sidelined being the first red flag. Do you think they will Luke Skywalker him?
What I mean to say is, is it too premature to expect Witcher 4 to be new Dustborn or Dragon Age Veilguard, or can anyone with any insider knowledge dissuade these fears a little?
I hope people reading this and understanding what I am trying to ask between the lines will be frank and civil in their discussion...
Hi, after weeks of attempts to return to play to CP77 on GeforceNow (could gaming) I think the problem is about the launcher. I've purchased the game using Epic Games and I've played hours on GFN, both the base game than the Phantom Liberty DLC.
I think that CDP Launcher can't run my game because of it automatically start with the Ultimate Edition (that I didn't purchased). It shift from the Phantom Liberty Graphic to the Ultimate. I think because of the launcher see that there is the Ultimate Edition executable installed on the virtual machine hosted by GeforceNow so it shift to the Ultmate edition.
The result is that the game crashes after loading the main video with the title "Cypberpunk".
Hope you can solve this problem.
Good day.
I've asked before but nobody has replied, I just beat the mission "Things Done Changed" and after the credits it goes into the breaching screen and just freezes. It sometimes will take me back to viks clinic before you talk to Misty. I've reloaded the game, taken the disc out, restarted my PS5 but nothing has seemed to work. If anyone knows how I could fix this I would really appreciate it.
I need the original cyberpunk team and creative director to make a Star Wars game... I loved cyberpunk and if it was a Star Wars mmo it would be my one stop shop... didn't like the 2.0 update just utter garbage as an rpg tabletop stat lover and build customizer...
Every other game that i have launchs properly but when I try to start these two, it crashes either directly on launch or in the loading screen.
I have intel i7 13th gen, nvidia 4060 RTX, and 16gb ram. I have these games on Steam.
Can someone help me with this quest? Help Resolve the matter of the succession to the skellige throne. After i killed the bears I choose not to help either Cerys or Hjarmar - I did king's gambit and every other quest and sidequest in skellige. Right now when i go to the Brothers in Arms: Skellige quest it says "Help Resolve the matter of the succession to the skellige throne". Im stucked at this point and when i select the isle of mist quest it says that i have to go to the boat and then by the boat to the isle of mist but when i arrive at the isle of mist and i go out of the boat it says that i have to go back on the boat XD. And i still have to get the allies for the fight in kaer morhen but i cant finish it as well because im stucked at the brother in arms quest... Please help!!!
I keep seeing news about someone in CDPR or CDPR in general being transphobic. I remember that some people also said Cyberpunk is transphobic when it was coming out, even tho it's not true at all.
But apparently there's also something that's happening right now, and I don't know the whole situation.
Here's the news I saw: https://www.gamesradar.com/games/the-witcher/witcher-and-cyberpunk-ceo-addresses-bogus-claim-cdpr-is-in-dire-trouble-because-its-too-woke-seems-we-live-in-times-where-anyone-can-record-complete-nonsense/
And I also saw some other news before this. I just stumbled across this and now I'm interested. I never ever saw CDPR being transphobic, but maybe there's something I'm missing. So, can anyone explain?
Thanks!
I bought the cyberpunk 2077 dlc for my son and it doesn't work. I tried multiple troubleshooting steps. I called playstation an hour after buying it because it crashes every time my son trys to enter dog town and start. Their policy states they have a 14 day return policy if you didn't download or load the game UNLESS it's faulty.
Well they won't honor that and are now telling me I have to contact you projekt red.
And before you ask me to trouble shoot, I refuse to do so anymore. I paid for a game that should work and it doesn't. I want my money back.
Either projekt red or play station stole my money and one of you needs to pay me back. This is bad business.
I do realize some people arnt experiencing issues with this crap software and your lucky if you arnt. For all the rest of us that can't play the game but gave you money, pay us back.
Rant done. Do what's right and refund me please.
