hi! does anyone have a good recommendation for a pack of 2.25in supplies in Amazon that are compatible with American Button Machines? My college recommended buying directly from ABM but they wanted $22 for shipping
Hey guys! Im going to be buying an American Button Maker Machine, but only have enough for one size. What size sells the best for you?
My B400 worked great for just shy of 200 buttons and fell out alignment. It probably started slowly and got worse over time. At first i saw some twisted - where the pinback wasn't properly set to the design - i assumed human error. But now it is quite obviously the machine. i've taken it apart. Done as much search as i can. The top press piece seems to be perfectly functional. It's either the A/front or B/back part (as these seem essentially universal for most presses, while the specifics are branded).
Does anyone have any luck on this. I've gotten it close, but it's still about 5^o off of where it should be, which is a lot for words and names.
edit to include link to the machine model I have. I don't know if it's an original or a rebrand: https://chibuttons.com/kit-32mm-1-1-4-pro-badge-machine-button-maker-b400-round-mould-200-pin-parts-handling-cutter13.html
PS: fun fact - i was looking for help when i stumbled upon this reddit and that's why i took up the reigns to mod it, to collect other minds to help solve button maker problems.
edit 2: I have been unsuccessful in fixing it yet but have worked out that the B/back has fallen out of alignment. I have patched the problem temporarily by marking the die with grease pencil (china marker) on the angle to place the pin so that finished pins come out correctly aligned. It wipes off with heat and a bit of rubbing. It doesnt leave marks on the buttons either.
Anyone have leads on which parts available through our evil overlords Amazon, will work best with this button maker? I bought https://a.co/d/4USPz0P these and it was a complete waste of time and money.
This is my second button maker and it seems that finding reliable replacement parts is consistently an issue. This device makes incredible pins but the website charges almost as much in shipping for a pin parts order.
Please help as I have a market coming up soon.
Hi there, and welcome to the newly reinstated r/ButtonMakers
I just inherited the sub, so i'll be setting things up and learning the ropes.
I want this to be a place to spread knowledge and show off work. Ask questions, make mistakes, and share the love of button making.
Rules will be pretty basic to start out:
Thanks for visiting & invite your friends!
I have been shopping for a button maker and circle cutter, but I can't find good information as to exactly what size circles I would need to make either 1.25" or 1.5" buttons. Can anyone here help me but the correctly sized supplies?
I’m on the verge of buying a 56mm second hand button badge machine but I have some questions:
Thanks for reading!
Hey! Have you guys seen PhotoPea? It's a free web based Photoshop alternative. Our button templates work in PhotoPea too! I just posted a video tutorial and would love some feedback.

Just looking to find some low cost gear for a club.
What are you using for a printer?
I have, but I'm not a fan of inkjet printers. I usually print my buttons at work on our color copier, but it does not print solid black backgrounds well and I need to find a different solution as my last two orders featured one and I was not happy with the results. Luckily the orders were for good friends so I just gave them a better deal and they were happy with it.
I want to look at a color laser printer for home and was wondering if anyone had suggestions.
Instead of cutting out the paper inserts?
I am starting to build a list of the machines I want to add to my collection. I would really like to get a few of the square button makers, as well as a couple more round ones to fill out my current selection. The ones I currently own are from Tecre and I wouldn't use another company based on the quality of both the machines and the company. My total is coming out to around 12.5K and I was wondering if their is anyone to find coupons or deals to help with that cost. I could wait longer and save up more (I just started saving, so will still be a while before I can afford a price tag that large).
I wanted to get into button making but none of the nice machines were in my budget, so I bought a much cheaper one on eBay - does anyone have experience with the 50-70 dollar ones? Thank you!
I emailed them a week ago with some questions but no response at all, a bad sign. They have different series.
