Burnaby is a city in British Columbia, Canada, located immediately to the east of Vancouver. It is the third-largest city in British Columbia by population, surpassed only by nearby Surrey and Vancouver itself.

I've been looking for a ps5 on Facebook marketplace. I notice there are many on sale at around $200-$250 which seems very cheap. When I click on all these profiles they are all accounts made in 2023, 2024 with a single profile picture, typically female.
Have you guys experienced any scams on marketplace? These profiles seem very suspicious.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I was curious if anyone had experience living in the Fitzgerald tower at 4888 Brentwood drive? My partner and I are looking to purchase an apartment and this one was really nice, but upon researching the building I saw it had a lot of bad reviews online.
Normally I would take the reviews at face value but some of them just seemed false such as old rusty gym equipment (equipment looked good and fairly new) and elevators covered in graffiti (they were not when we viewed). So I really wanted some additional first hand reviews before making such a large decision. Thank you!
I'm doing a school project and I need a shopping cart. Basically just the frame and basket/main area.
No I'm not going to steal one from Costco or any other retailer...
Anyone know where I can find these?
Last night, I had a pretty unsettling experience that left me feeling shaken and unsure of how to react. I was sitting in a Subway having a meal when a guy, seemingly under the influence, entered the store and started yelling at me. He was saying nonsensical things like "Are you the law?" and "I'm gonna mess you up," while closing the distance between us.
What alarmed me the most was that he kept reaching into his bag, which made me worry he might pull something dangerous. My instincts told me to prepare to defend myself if things escalated, but being an international student on a study permit and new to the city, I had no idea what the right course of action would be.
I decided not to engage or escalate the situation and instead called for the staff's help. Fortunately, the security team arrived quickly and managed to force him out.
I’m doing my master's here and have always tried to avoid trouble, as I don’t know how law enforcement would perceive someone in my position getting involved in an altercation—even if it was in self-defense.
This experience has left me wondering:
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
there's a huge police presence and road barricade at smith and Kincaid. what's going on?

"Students at SFU say they are being harassed repeatedly by a group of local youths. They are calling on the university to do more about it. Lauren Stallone reports."
Just witnessed a dangerous driving incident and after googling, we can report such incident online.
Probably nothing will happen but it definitely help release some pressure
October 31,2024 5:40pm Willingdon and Canada Way in front of the Shell gas station
A fender bender between a BMW and Mitsubishi SUV while both were changing into the same lane. Unfortunately, the gas stations did not have any footage.
Thank you!
Was wondering if anyone has played or seen people playing hockey at this sports box?
They have a hockey drop in but I’m not sure if anyone actually attends
Hi all, first post here,
Just wanted to ask some details about the new R1 SSMUH zoning regulations.
Is there a precise of list of what bus routes are considered FTN? Is the distance to these bus routes calculated by walking distance or aerial distance?
And is there a regulation on the minimum depth of lots for number of units? I know there are limits on the minimum width of lots and of each unit, as well as total lot square footage, but I only find limits on yard distance from sidewalk/lane in terms of depth. Can anyone clarify these for me? Thanks and much appreciated!
The pizzeria on Hastings across from Kensington park closed a while back. I think there's been a ghost kitchen gelato place operating there in the meantime, but I've been seeing some renovations being done at the site. Any word on if there's a new restaurant moving in?
This was a joint venture between two developers (Create and Peterson - see links below) to redevelop the former Saputo Milk Plant at 6800 Lougheed Highway in Burnaby.
The main lender, RBC, has petitioned and filed an initial order in the Supreme Court of British Columbia under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act. The project has stalled over the past two months due to disputes between the two developers and looks like the developers have not been able to refinance a $200 million loan that recently came due. Looks like the developers tried to raise additional equity to pay the loan, but the project may now go through a sales process.

Is anyone in Metrotown experiencing respiratory irritation right now? Like around Oomomo and The Body Shop? My throat doesn't feel comfortable and several walk-bys are coughing and sneezing as well.
