Please remove if not allowed. My BIL has had this rabbit show up in his yard several times this past week in Columbus OH. It’s pretty obviously not a wild rabbit, and I’m going to talk to my SO to try and make plans to catch it in the meantime (we’re almost an hour away). But I wanted to see if I can find the poor things owner.
The most adorable couple enjoying the most important meal of the day!
The cage is only because we are early stages of bonding, they absolutely will be free roam once their bond has settled 😊
Hey guys, I need some advice with bonding my 2 rabbits (both male and both neutered)
So my husband and I have been trying to bond our 2 boys (one who’s 10 years old, and the other who’s a year old)
They’ve groomed each other, they are fine eating together, they sometimes snuggle, they seem to be using the same litter tray and they do seem to look for each other after a little while
However, we’re having a problem with the younger one humping and chasing the older one. Our older boy seems more nervous, a little withdrawn, and will hide/cower in a corner, alongside thumping and sometimes making noises
There isn’t any violence that we’ve seen or heard, and when they’re being supervised they get on fine with no issues
Does anyone have any advice, or know how to help them get along better? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks xo
Winter is coming up and I keep my rabbits outside. My female rabbit has a very thick coat and isn't even slightly bothered by winter but my male rex is a lot smaller and has a thinner coat. I have noticed him seeking my other rabbit out for (maybe) warmth. Where I live the average temp during winter is 4 Celsius (40 fahrenheit). Would it be necessary to get him some clothes to help him keep warm?
Hello everyone. I've been playing on getting a bunny for a while now and am looking for ideas for a safe outdoor play area. Obviously the bunny will be kept indoors, planning to free roam, but just as an extra stimulation and play experience I want to add an outdoor spot. Do any of you guys have an outdoor play area? Is it movable or stationary? How do you keep predators out? Any input will be greatly appreciated!
Hey I got my first rabbit about a month ago and it’s been so wonderful so far. It’s so rewarding gaining her trust and I love her so much. However, the shelter I got her from still has a bunny she used to socialize with. I was going to adopt both at the time but someone else had a pending adoption on him. It fell through. I now have the opportunity to reunite this duo (both fixed don’t worry.) I’m wondering if there is more benefit to adding a second bunny to the family (aka adopting this bunny from the shelter.) I work 12 hour shifts and just wondering if perhaps a friend would help my bunny feel less lonely? Or would it cause her so much distress to have so many changes and have to share her space? Is it much more stressful to have 2 bunnies over just one? What is everyone’s experience?
TLDR: I’m considering getting another bunny, wondering if anyone has advice?
I rehomed two bonded brothers bunnies over a year old - they get along great, but they do hump each other sometimes. Would it be a bad idea to introduce a female to the mix? Anyone have experience with this dynamic?
Big, beautiful girl
I really need a carrier with limited or no zippers on it because my rabbit happened to mess up the last one by chewing it. There’s a submarine one that looks cute with no visible zippers that I saw on Temu and Amazon the other day. I’d prefer a backpack carrier so that my hand doesn’t get tired while waiting for a pickup. All the backpack ones seem to have a zipper though. What do you recommend?
How many spots besides there cage do you guys have for your ?🐰 🐰
She threw her belongings off her couch where I sat things to keep them out of the way just so she could keep laying in her box!
Excuse the hair, this bun constantly sheds!
We have a true menagerie. The Buns and the Bengals are all besties. Every morning Cookie asks for kisses from Oskar and snuggles from Felix.
Just checking to see if anyone here may have had a similar experience. My Californian (3 yr old male) just started acting funny where he seems to have poor balance and is wobbly. He has now started dragging his back legs. He is eating but not as much as usual.
The exotic vet took blood, did X-rays, a full exam and did not see anything obvious. Back looks fine, no signs of stasis or head tilt. His reflexes are intact and he moves his tail.
We left with pain meds and recommended to keep his movements restricted for some time. Does anyone have any other ideas what could be going on?
He's jumped out his pen twice for this today..
