I'm working on a system which is roughly based on Warhammer 10th edition and some kill team. I'm wondering if a LOS (line of sight) system would work for shooting.
Maybe you'd be able to select different body parts and fire at them leading to different results. Shooting the head impairs accuracy. Blowing of an arm disables weaponry. And hitting a leg could knock an MS off balance.
It's tricky to balance but could it work?
Side Question: Would it be fun?
Edit: thank you for the recommendations for already working games, but I've thought about it. And it would go against my nature to not make my own system. I'm just too stubborn.
Looking forward to what you guys will think once it's all done.
(Edit:It's Early development now with enough rules for you to Sort Of Set Up a match. Look for 0079 MS Operations =>)
Could someone post the most recent rulebook on the subreddit? It'd be good if the game rules and materials were pinned to the top too.
https://imgur.com/gallery/P5bICCD Painted the whole thing, made a joint to attach the suit to the legs out of putty, drilled holes in the legs for the thrusters/missile pods, missile pods themselves were made out of an old MicroMachines toy, used an action figure machine gun for the complete mode.
Ik this is stupid but like this group seems kinda dead (no offence) but it's like ITS SO COOL THOUGH I'm surprised at how many people aren't on here, maybe we can code our own game for this that's the same thing just with more and better graphics? Idkkkk
My history with plastic models is building 2 model cars when I was maybe 11 and I picked up a HG RX 78 to practice.
I know kitbashing is somewhat popular, but I was wondering if I could pick up almost any two kits and just start going at it or if there was a way to tell kit compatibility.
For reference, my two favourite Gundam are the Shining and Barbatos, and I'd really love to see if I could mash those two together but I'd want to see if I could maybe try and mix other ones I like.
Hello there!
Thank you for taking the time to check out our subreddit! We are a homebrew online tabletop which allows you to battle your gunpla in both PVP and PVE situations. Build Fight System is heavily inspired by the original Gundam Build Fighters in which the more work you put into your gunpla, the better it performs.
If you are using new Reddit, please see the links below to find our Discord. Discord is the most populated part of BFS and is where we are most active, with the sub acting as a depository for player sheets. You will also find the rulebook and a template for creating your own battle sheet which details your mobile suit's specifications.
If you have completed your first battle sheet and are interested in finding a match or require any assistance in setting up your battle sheet, please head to the Discord. There you can find regular players who can assist as well as a thriving community of builders that can help to make your dream gunpla a reality. Get building, get battling and get build fighting!
