It doesn't matter if you're a man or woman. You just have to be a bro.
Brochet, a subreddit for bros who crochet.
Hello all and welcome to /r/Brochet. Here you can post your WIP (Works in progress), finished projects, and project ideas. Feel free to post any patterns you brocheters come across, as well as anything you may be looking for.
Whether you're a dudebro or ladybro or whatever other kind of bro you are, you're more than welcome here
If you want to post a link to something that costs money, like a pattern or supply deal, save it for Free-Market Fridays. If it's a limited-time sale or something that you just can't pass up sharing, it may be approved on a case-by-case basis.
Please try to flair your posts so other users can filter easily. It's not a strict rule, but it would be appreciated.

Sweater vest for my cousin 🥰❤️
Also, I should have gotten a pic of the back before I sewed the tits on lol. Whoops 😅
Hello kitty bag I made for a friend :)
I’m trying to think of something to make my partner for our first Christmas as parents. He’s so hard to shop or make things for because he always says he doesn’t need anything and he’s a bit of a minimalist. But since this is his first Christmas as a dad to our daughter I’d really love to crochet or knit something special. He doesn’t like hats/scarves but he does like plaid. We also just converted a room of the house to a “man cave”/office, so maybe something for that? But I’d love something dad themed. Any suggestions appreciated!!
Wrapping up my November square. One month left in my 2024 temperature blanket!
I just want to post my husbands finished blanket (and first finished project ever)!! I’m so proud of him!! It’s so warm and I love how it turned out!
Pattern is simple:
Yarn body: Wool Ease - Sedona Yarn border: Wool Ease - Midnight Blue
He started crocheting last year and started this blanket, but as summer came around (and it would get triple digits here) he paused it, but picked it back up this fall and finished it earlier this month. We’ve been using it as our cuddle blanket on the couch.
I just wanted to post about how proud I am of him for starting this journey and continuing projects and harnessing his weaving skills! 🥲
Hey y’all! What are your tips for improving your crochet, as a non-beginner?
I have made quite a few things and I’m definitely pretty decent, but I can still see room for improvement. What are the further steps yall have taken that upped your crochet?
Pic for attention: my current nighttime setup 😝
As title says. What are you working on right now? Do you need some motivation to finish it? Can the community lift you up? Do you just want to show off?
finished up this big boi last night! idk why I didn’t take any other pictures before taping the box up this morning, lol, but here is a giant rainbow blanket I crocheted. took me the last month and a half. color switches are a bitch!
Hey everyone! Unfortunately I am not familiar with crocheting in the slightest, but this girl I’m dating is very passionate about it.
I thought it would be a nice Christmas gift to get her some tools or kits that would help her out. I’ve been thread/yarn shopping with her before, but she’s particular about the types of yarn or cloth (idk if that’s what the right word is lol) so I don’t wanna buy actual yarn/fabric/cloth (or whatever it’s called).
She has the basic hook thing, and I wanted to get her more tools and extra things that can help or accentuate crocheting. Idk what else would be necessary aside from the hook stick.
Any help from some crotchet enthusiasts would be greatly appreciated!!!
Cheers!!
Edit: found some kits on Amazon. Would appreciate some insight for whether they’re good gifts?
