I always wonder this. After Colin called out Portia for all the bad things she has done as a mother to Penelope, he took Penelope's hand and walked out of there. Was Portia ever concerned that her recently engaged daughter went off with her betrothed unchaperoned and without a coat even. Did she assume Colin only took her to Bridgerton House across the street with Violet watching them? They were gone for the entire afternoon and yeah, did in fact sleep together, the very thing every mother doesn't want to happen to her unmarried daughter. The fact that the next time Portia saw Colin and Pen together they were eye fucking so hard (engagement ball & presentation of the engagement ring) was a clear indication that something happened between the two of them. Did Portia just let it slide and when their baby arrived like a month or so early, did she figure it out then but kept her mouth shut?
I have an opinion about everyone except Francesca. I just can't figure her out. In season 1 she was such a kid. Then in season 3, she's an adult. And where was she again for months?
Just saw this today! I had no idea he was doing all three at the same time at one point! What an amazing and dedicated actor!! JB is really killing it right now! I can’t wait to see his other projects ❤️❤️
Do you guys think Penelope and Colin are going to be phased out the way the other couples were? I feel like at least they got somewhat of a send off... We got to see their son, we know they end up being successful on their own, we know they are happy. We don't know any of those things about any other couple, no one else got a flash forward, even if it wasn't that far... it was still something. I could see Pen more than Colin, simply for Whistledown and she's Eloise's best friend. I'm just curious if we will continue to see them? Being the jealous girl that I am I will be a little sad if they continue to be series regulars over Anthony and Kate...
im halfway through reading the bridgerton books and so far i dont really LOVE any of the couples, the same way i loved all the show couples..the red flags are kind of outweighing the green flags for me😔
i wanna know which book people love the most so i can read it next! ill deffo be reading all the rest but i want a more passionate and romantic story for my next read❤️
I almost wonder if the other men saw Colin dancing with her and thought she was off limits because a Bridgerton already staked his claim, lol.
why
I understand the Featherington estate passes to Penelope's son as he's the first born Featherington boy, but that's according to the false document she forged. The solicitor seemed like he knew her money was not really from the Aunt she said it was from and he was in the process of transferring the estate to someone else. What happened to this plot point? I think I just missed it.
It’s good line also wanna see the answers I get make them funny
Eloise's studies aren't enough for her. She loves them, but she still needs more.
Eloise reads, a lot. We obviously know this. The fact she was able to easily drop random facts about that bird when in discussion with Cressida gives us an insight how much she takes in through her reading. Eloise isn't denied access to intellectual books, she isn't denied time to sit down and read and take in what she's reading. But she's still discontent.
She studies to block out the world, she studies because her life is so empty and devoid of meaning that she needs to fill it with books, which give her some stimulation, some happiness, but overall aren't enough to satisfy her.
She doesn't want to shut herself away from the world with her books, hiding out in the countryside away from everything. But as a young lady she's kept confined and is punished whenever she steps beyond her bubble. Books and studying are her way of enduring a life she otherwise finds empty and purposeless, of giving herself something to focus on, of escaping the social expectations and rituals that she finds dull and alienating, yet are meant to make up the framework of her existence.
She's not content with books, she's not content with being shut from the world. Books and studies are her consolation for not having a purpose in her life, they're not her purpose in themselves. She wants to go out and change the world, not hide from it. Whoever she ends up with needs to be someone who can encourage her to go against convention and fight for what she believes in, someone who will join her in that fight to change the world, not someone who would encourage her to hide from it.
I much preferred Anthony with Sienna than Kate. I found Kate to be super annoying and not a good sister to Edwina. I also found Anthony and Sienna to have far more chemistry and passion. I think Anthony would have stayed with Sienna if she didn’t leave.
Does anyone else agree?
When I tried to look it up, everyone seems to not like Anthony with Sienna and love Kate 🤢
Personally I think it's season 1 for me especially part 1 but next would be season 2 part 2. I just love the vibes from season 1 and the family dynamic as well
Ive loved her very much since watching the side story for her character, I actually got into the bridgerton universe because of queen charlotte's story and then later on watched the 3 seasons of the main bridgerton netflix series.
Im wondering why there is such a difference in how young charlotte acts vs the older one. I know alot of time has passed since when she was just a teen as she was 17 in her backstory and now she's old but I just dont get it. Even in her series she seems to have turned into someone who only cares about her children making a baby as an heir vs trying to be a mother figure for them to open up to and rely on.
It seems like the "royalty" has gotten to her and she just seems like a very judgy, not likable queen who acts, well she is in high power but I dont get it. I feel like young charlotte would not even approve of the charlotte portrayed as she got older. I understand queen charlotte is supposed to be this way for the plot in the original series, but she showed some sort of resemblance to her old self in the side story near the end when her and george were under the bed. I personally LOVED bridgerton, but I do not really enjoy watching this change in charlotte overall.
But I don’t see it being rectified anytime soon. Netflix isn’t going to shill out more money for additional episodes when 8 has worked out well for them in terms of the show’s success. The cast list for season 4 is extensive, and that’s probably not even the full list since there are things that suggest Cressida, Finch, and Philippa are also returning.
