They are now claiming that my entire residential street is 2-hour parking only, even though there's only signs on part of the street and ticketing vehicles. I've called about several bogus citations I've received and every time it's the same rude ass woman who just basically tells me to get lost. What service are they providing? Just really seems like another money grab from the city.

I've been living in Bremerton for almost a year now and just got a "Bremerton 2044" flyer in my mailbox for the first time. I want to be engaged in the community/a conscientious citizen and understand what's going on but I am struggling with understanding the information packet available on the Bremerton 2044 website (www.Bremerton2044.org). Does anyone have any supplemental websites or ways to learn about this comprehensive city plan that is a little less political/legal word salad?

Hi. We live in Southern California and plan to move to the PNW next year. We will be purchasing a home. My wife works from home, so we need reliable internet. What areas should we be looking at, and what areas should we avoid? We were up in the area after Christmas last year, however we didn't check out the Bremerton area. My age is getting to the point where I need a gardener to take care of my flowers, plants & trees in spring & summer on my half acre lot. I have LOTS of to take care of. So looking for recommendations for someone that has years of gardening experience vs just a generic landscaper. This person needs to know things like when it's best to prune back certain plants, how to treat trees when suffering from disease, know which plants grow best in the sun vs partial sun, how much water is needed for various plants, putting up protection to keep deer away, etc. I'm NOT looking for someone to mow the yard as I'm still physically able to do that.

I've discovered that a good gardener is extremely hard to find. Work will begin in early April with extensive spring cleanup followed by every other week maintenance activities to keep everything looking good and healthy. I will ask specific questions of the people I talk to so they can prove they have the gardening knowledge I'm expecting and will also ask for references. TIA.

I found out Bubz cafe hosts one every last Saturday of the month between 6pm and 7:30pm and I tried. The boba was great but nobody was there for the crafts. I'm willing to try again but I'd love a reliable group that meets more often.

Is there any good Halloween parties that are actually on Halloween this year? Or any bar/place that has a cool environment where people will actually dress up and have fun. Need to know. Swear I’m a decent human.

I have family down in the purdy/wauna area and I live in Bremerton with no car so if I want to go down and see them I have to go all the way through Seattle and Tacoma, they used to have a bus (route 101) before covid but now they have a shuttle you have to call 24 hours in advance and runs 3 times a day, 3 days out of the week, but in Bremerton there are several busses with virtually the same routes, coming every 15 minutes or so, why? I’ve also heard a lot of other people complain about this same thing so I’m not sure why they haven’t brought the route back, it causes major isolation and hardship for a lot of people.

I've been in contact with the city council member in my district already. Perhaps we can get some traction with a petition? Let me know if you have any suggestions for a location that I can pass on. Thank you!

I'm just curious, if one needs to take the drivers permit test. Where do yall go? It doesn't seem like the licensing office in Bremerton does them.

Update* Went to the Bremerton Office, was able to get my permit test done. I have no clue why I was having a hard time but nonetheless it is done 🙌🏾

• Judge Flood was 11 minutes late to her hearing. The presiding officer was pissed. It was asserted that this was because she was busy doing municipal court business. Her lawyers vehemently denied this saying that Judge Flood knew about the hearing and was just momentarily hung up. Her lawyers later demanded to know where that false information had come from, but the presiding officer moved things along. The lawyers said something to the effect of, "Her lateness should not be taken into consideration during this misconduct hearing." I'm not sure what the presiding officer's response was but it should be interesting to see whether they later take it into account.
• Judge Flood and the Committee on Judicial Conduct (JOC) counsel had (offline) written a "stipulation" document that both sides agreed to. The took a break from the hearing to sign and finalize this stipulation. In this document, Judge Flood admitted to acts of misconduct (a certain type of misconduct that I don't recall) and the JOC agreed not to push to censure or remove Judge Flood because of this admitted misconduct.
• BUT THEN... it was stated that the stipulation agreement did not include another type of misconduct (incompetence)! Judge Flood and her counsel did not realize this, so they were quite surprised to learn that Judge Flood could still be censured/removed if it's found that she did commit that other type of misconduct. They thought this option was off the table! It appears the JOC backed them into a corner. You'd think two lawyers and a judge would be smarter, but...

The hearing resumes 8:30 AM Wednesday. The next two days will have each side bring up to six witnesses to testify. This is where we'll hear from former municipal court staff. Can't wait.

Bremerton Police reported to a home off Washington Ave by the Manette bridge after a caller reported that there was a decomposed corpse lying on the porch. The police seized a seven foot skeleton, which was lying on the porch as reported. Police are currently unsure of the identity of this skeleton.
