Did any of you get one around 7:00 a.m. stating that all buses would be on snow routes? I walked out to my normal spot and only two routes were on snow schedule, so I waited and no bus. Checked again at 7: 05am and they had put an alert on the website that all buses were now on snow route, but I never got a text. Just wondering if anyone else actually did?

Every day this week, at right around 6 PM, a CH-47 Chinook helicopter has been flying over my apartment in Manette so low that it's shaking the entire building. It's not showing up on ADS-B so I can't track it. I know CH-47's routinely go between JBLM and Everett but they fly high and follow the Sound. This is not taking any obvious route to anything. It's coming from the East and heading West towards the Hood Canal when it goes out of sight, which takes no time at all considering how low it's flying.

1. Cost efficient. I know what we’ve signed up for coming to live in Washington, but I’m used to having an Aldi near me, and I’m looking for something in that ballpark of prices (ideally).

For lack of supply, I’m used to paying Target prices for my groceries, and while that is fine, and dandy, it’s not the most sustainable.

2. Proximity. Silverdale is amazing, and I’m glad it’s a stones throw away from us, but if there was something more local, that would be fantastic.

3. Unique? Small businesses or merchants that you like. Local businesses. Ethnic stores that have good produce, or eclectic finds?

For example: french bobs, 70s layers, modern shag, etc. I have had terrible luck in the past (BACE Salon in Brem, Salon 302 in Purdy, one or two spots in Gig Harbor) and am willing to pay $$. After being burned so many times I usually just wait to get my hair cut once a year when I visit my home town because the quality is more consistent and current.

I live on a small cul-de-sac, and the main road has no sidewalks, virtually no street lights, and heavy traffic with a shocking number of drivers employing excessive speed and bad judgement. All the parks close at dusk, and this time of year it is usually well after dark when I get home from work.

WM is charging an astronomical amount, as are most of the junk removal companies.
