Hello

Searching for mods, r/lansdownecn

I don’t know what happened to r/lansdowne but I miss it to bits, so I’ve made another.

It’s for students, old people, middle-ing aged people; denizens of Lansdowne and infrequent visitors alike.

Let me know 🥸

Best place for a modern mullet haircut?

Title summarises the deal. I've gone to a few nearby barbers in the past but I'm not sure they've done the best job with cutting my hair for a mullet. I have very straight, brown hair if that says anything.

Short-term Accommodation in B’mouth

Hello everyone,

I’m currently planning on moving to a new room within Bournemouth, however, the available move-in date for the room I was considering changed to one month later what it used to be.

Considering I still would like to move in to that room, I’ll need to find a spare place to stay for about 15 days beforehand . Would you have any hotel/accommodation suggestions regarding my situation?

Much thanks x

Anybody tried any of the coworking spaces in Bournemouth/Poole?

Considering joining one of the coworking spaces - there seems to be a couple around now but can't quite decide what's the vibe like and if they are worth the price? For context, I work from home mostly and thought would be nice to add a bit of social element by going to these coworking spaces.

The ones I was thinking of are:

THIS Workspace - Private Office Space & Co-working - Bournemouth

Bournemouth Office Rental & Coworking Space Hire - Patch - Bournemouth

Poole co-working lounge, private offices and desk rental — FOUNDRY - Poole

If anybody is using either of these and can recommend would be great to know, and thank you! :)

People who are trying to rent a room in their ‘luxury’ flat for £900 a month

How do you live with yourselves. Like a ROOM. Thieving bastards. Pay your own mortgage

Ghost hunting group

So.. with speaking to some of the people who are interested in ghost hunting with me, I'm thinking of making a Facebook group for us to join in and meet up once a month or something to explore parts of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole to hang out, talk about spooky stories, explore those spooky places we've met to just have a look around and have some food and drink.

Obviously this is very early days but we should make like a social group for it at first and do some research about locations, contact people if we need too to gain permission to have a look around. We don't really need fancy kit, just a good working camera with yourselves. No big obligation, just having fun.

There's lots to sort out first and foremost. But if you are interested, then message me on here. And I'll set up a group on Facebook to be added on there. And whether you wanna help me with research, obviously we bring our own food and drink (no alcohol) and arrange to meet up at location before asking for permission to have a look around.

It's very informal, but don't be a dick.

I'm thinking of a couple of places in Bournemouth we can go too first. Remember we're here to have fun but respectful of the dead.

BCP can I use clear bin bags for recycling bin?

Really don’t want to get fined! I put my recycling into the white drawstring bin bags and put it in the correct bin outside. This is what we did before the move. Is it allowed?

Thank you

Zither lessons

My daughter has inherited a zither. It is one of those nicely painted 70’s ones, possibly with chords. I don’t know anything about zithers, but expect that it needs some attention as the elderly owner may never have actually played it but just bought it “because it looked nice”.

Neither of us have any idea how to play one. Is there anywhere local I can get lessons?

Sub focus at the O2

Does anyone have a spare ticket for sub focus at the O2 on Saturday 26th I could buy?

The site showed tickets as available but when I went to book it says no tickets.

I'm having a hard time at the moment and I was really looking forward to this. Now Ticketmaster has screwed me.

I'd really appreciate the opportunity to buy a spare ticket if there are any out there.

Thank you ♥️

FAO passenger from Bournemouth to Alicante on Beniconnect who left coat behind.

Blue and white woollen coat left on back row of seats on the Beniconnect bus to Moroira/Benitachell. I passed this to the driver who said he's going to leave it with the Beniconnect desk at Alicante. They'll have your details and will attempt to contact you in order to send the coat back to your home address. Apologies for not noticing at the time that you'd forgotten it,but in my experience the staff are lovely and I'm sure will do all they can to help you get your belongings back!

Hope you had a nice holiday too 😊

BCP council, Police, Private bodies, corrupt system

Before the merger, Poole and Christchurch we’re happier without the corrupt Bournemouth Council Not long ago, Bournemouth council was investigated Mark howell stated BCP is in “accusation of potential corruption” in relation to an acquisition which cost more than £1million. Since then, the powers that be stepped down and some fired from refusal. The audit policy BCP keep failing to uphold is still corrupt and won’t change. They replace the bad eggs with new bad eggs. BCP are incompetent public servants that like to be called “officers” and constantly lie to citizens to cover up their failures. Police go hand in hand with BCPs lies and excuses and neither will help support vulnerable autistic people but willing to support druggies and alcohols BCP are not struggling, they are greedy and the corruption is real I know a lot, the lies, deception, what their agendas are, how they turn the other cheek and ignore you for months with no logical explanation for delays etc

I wanna go ghost hunting around Bournemouth.

So I'm thinking of going on a ghost hunt to local cemeteries or churches to see if we sense any spookiness or share spooky stories with each other one night. Who's interested?

Looking for room/neighborhood (advice) in Bournemouth

Hey everyone!

I’m currently doing my masters in Bournemouth Uni and will start working professionally from January, but, I’ll also need a new room early Jan.

I currently live in Boscombe, despite how Boscombe is perceived generally, I can say I’ve been quite happy for the last 9 months.

Apart from Boscombe, I have Westbourne in mind. Although I’ve never spent time their, it feels like a place that would suit me. I don’t drive, so a place where it would be relatively easy to handle my day-to-day chores, and move around the city would be nice. Additionally, I will probably need to go to Lansdowne a couple of days during the week (for work). The Lansdowne thing may not be required for a long time, or at all. Just wanted add.

I’m a 25 y.o male if that means anything😊

Would love to hear your neighborhood recommendations, so I can start looking for options!

Much thanks.

West howe opinions?

If anyone here has been to the west howe/kinson area, what are your opinions on it. Grew up in west howe and didn't really mind it much. My opinion is it's a shithole but it was my shithole.
