/r/BottleCapCollecting
This is the subreddit for all things related to bottle cap collecting. It can be a super fun hobby, especially when you have others helping you out. Our goal is to create a community of collectors/sellers/traders
We focus on collecting and acquiring caps, rather than bottle cap art/stories/memorabilia
Things that ARE allowed in this subreddit:
Requests for trades, requests to buy and letting others know you are selling bottle caps.
Links to bottle cap auctions on Ebay, Craigslist, etc...
Posting pictures of unknown caps to seek help identifying them.
Displaying collections.
Asking questions related to the hobby (eg. seeking methods for repairing damaged caps) which are not covered in the FAQ.
Anything relating to obtaining information on caps, or the drinks themselves. This is more or less the general rule from which all of the other subreddit rules are derived.
Making posts about feedback about a trade that you had with another user. This keeps the community safe.
Bottle cap art, as long as it shows your different caps. If it's just the same cap over and over again or you can't actually see the design on the cap, it should not be posted. If you want to show bottle cap art and it doesn't not satisfy these criteria, you can now post it on r/BottleCap_Art!
Things that are not allowed
Posts asking questions that are answered in the FAQ. It has a lot of good community answers, so you will most likely find your answer here.
Posts related to Fallout. Comments related to Fallout are allowed. I only say this because I want this subreddit to lean more towards actually collecting and getting information on caps, rather than memes.
Stories.
Motivational posts that happen to involve bottle caps .
Anything not involved with actually collecting caps or collecting information on caps.
Very frequent posting (i.e. don't post something every day or two)
Nothing related to non fungible tokens (NFTs)
No posts that are not tailored to this subreddit. Basically, if you have submitted the same post to a bunch of other subreddits, it is not tailored to this subreddit and should not be posted.
If you would like to submit something, but are not sure if it is appropriate for this sub, feel free to message one of the mods!
If you want a custom flair (especially if you want to display your CC.I or CCSI identification number), let us know and we will make it for you!

Looked it up on CCI but didnt find it
Notes:
I'm pretty proud of this. Started about a year or two ago, I'm still in school so I'm fairly location locked but a decent variety. I hope to collect plenty more, and still just looking around this Reddit intimidates me so, but it also gives me a goal to strive for.
Unfortunately many of them are damaged
I am collecting bottle caps in general and have ≈3.000 different ones; these are my caps fron the brand: „Krombacher“

These are all I had in my junk drawer after removing all the dupes. Beer on the left, sodas and fizzy water on the right. Around 2 years of saving crowns.
What is the best material container to keep bottle caps?
Hello, I discovered your community yesterday, even though I've been collecting bottlecaps since 2012. If anyone is interested in exchange, I invite you to my page with bottlecaps for trading https://tinygarden.me/forum/topic/wymiana-%c2%b7-exchange-%c2%b7-austausch/ I can exchange any quantity. If you are interested in blind trading, that's also fine. You can find my entire small collection under the same domain https://tinygarden.me/forum/ I also have a profile on CC.I at https://crowncaps.info/users/2020 If this information is useful to anyone, I come from PL but live in DE. I don't buy bottlecaps, so don't send me such offers! Regards!
What i collected for the past 7 months
Any clue? Can't find on Google image search.
Sorting through assorted bags and boxes tonight. Calming after a hectic week at work.
I'm really close to hitting the 5000-mark for unique beer caps (including a handful of champagne-style caps) from the US and am looking for a big trade towards that goal. The more from California (and the West Coast in general) the better. I have all kinds of extra caps to trade. Mostly I have beer caps from all over, but I also have a bit of soda/water/cider, etc. extras to part with as well. Hoping for a sizeable trade. I'm in Northern California...lots of Bigfoot sightings my way... ;)
I'm totally new here, just checking something out of curiosity. My son goes to a Waldorf school and they're very anti technology and commercialism there so the kids can't bring pokemon cards a stuff to school. They do however collect and trade bottle caps! It's really charming and they're super into it! I ordered a bunch of old bottle caps for my boy for his 8th birthday from Etsy. One of them has really peaked my interest and I wonder if anyone can help me identify where it's from and from when? Also could be nice to know if it's worth anything though I don't have any high hopes 😁 Thanks 🙏🏻
Hello, anyone can help me with the brand or producer of that bottle caps. I recieve from a Poland collector but I can't find any information of them
70 crown caps+ one beer coaster Most of them are from Vienna, Czech Republic, Germany but also a few from my country Sweden! These are all found on the streets and in nature.
Rate my collection! 😄
