I think I will die before they stop talking about this guy.
Who's idea was this? I've really been dealing with listening to this clown repeat himself and turn questions into monologs far longer than I'd like. Everyone else on that show is strong, but he talks the most. Can they move him to like 2-6am or something? Am I the only one that feels like this?
Our Emmy award winning docu-series spotlights different social/cultural/political communities and issues across the U.S., highlighting their nuances and complexities.
One of our new episodes will focus on athletics and mental health, and will be centered around Boston––the most iconic sports city. With that, we want to highlight both the humanity and comradery that sports can bring out (strengthening mental wellness for so many), along with the challenges some athletes (and particularly elite athletes) experience with their mental health.
But as we have that conversation, we know that even amongst friends, there are mixed opinions here. Some think our country and our athletes have gone soft, humoring unhelpful mental blocks and not persevering in the face of universal challenges that might just require them to suck it up, to varying degrees. Others have some sympathy for athletes, but believe that if they don't enjoy their sport at a certain point, they should simply quit. Others believe we need to do more to be mindful of athletes' mental well-being, even if we're just fans. And there are of course a lot of people in between.
We're looking to have a respectful, spirited and earnest conversation with someone or a group of people in the former camp. While this description may sound somewhat serious, our series is lighthearted and playful in nature, and this scene will be no exception.
