hi! i am a 24yo F, i recently just got out of a super toxic relationship and would really love to make some new friends in the area! i love to bake, cook, play video games & watch harry potter 🫶🏻
New international student here in Boston and finding it difficult to connect with people outside my culture. I love to meet people from different parts of the world and even from the city, but most people who Ive become friends with here are fellow international students from my country. Not that i have a problem with that, but id also love to meet and connect with new kinda people!
If anyone’s free to meet for a beer or lunch on friday or the weekend, id love to do that! Looking forward to meeting some nice people 😄
Hi! I’m looking for a high point in China town to take some pictures , a free parking garage would be ideal but if you have experience parking and walking somewhere I’ll take it! Thank you in advance (:
We've had over 50 people join in with the Redbones meetups over the past two months, and are now consistently getting 10-20 people each Friday!! It turns out that cheap drinks and friendly people are a winning combo. Last week's inaugural trivia went well too, and one of our teams even walked away with a Redbones gift card. I think we've built enough momentum that I can get lazy with putting up the weekly posts for a bit and just let everything run on autopilot. If nothing else, it'll be nice to not have to keep wearing the obnoxious orange hoodie every week.
So if you still haven't had a chance to come hang out with us, this week would be a great time to join!
As usual, let's plan to meet at Redbones (https://redbones.com) in Davis Square at 6:30pm for some BBQ, friendship, and trivia. That will give us a bit of time to split into teams, order beer/food, and chat a bit before trivia starts at 7pm. I'll wear the standard orange hoodie so we'll be easy to spot. We'll try to get a few tables near the trivia screen in their downstairs space (underbones). Last week we had enough people for three teams. If you're like me and don't actually like trivia that much, we can either make an exceptionally non-serious team or can gather a mini group to go hang out at the upstairs bar. In any case, it will be a fun time!
As always, all are welcome. Come be social with us!

Tip #1: To avoid de-anonymizing yourself, there's no expectation that anyone needs to reply to this post. Obviously you know my username (the price I pay for organizing a real-life gathering over Reddit), and you can absolutely look through my entire profile history before you meet me in the real world (you creep). But everyone else can just show up and we'll never know who you are on Reddit.
Tip #2: To be able to coordinate plans and share other events with each other without de-anonymizing over Reddit, we have a WhatsApp group. If you want to keep in touch with your new friends post-Redbones, remind me to add you to the Red(dit)bones group chat.
Tip #3: Almost all of the group initially showed up on their own. If you don't feel comfortable meeting a bunch of strangers on your own, keep in mind that we're in a public space, and we have no idea who you are. If you walk through the door and don't like the look of us, you can always just go home and we'll never even know. Or bring a friend (or an enemy?)
Bonus Data: Since some folks really like statistics, the group is mostly in their 30s (let's say 25-45). We've probably been averaging a 60% (M) to 40% (F) ratio. We typically get between 10 and 15 people. So far, still zero confirmed serial killers (that we know of).
I 30m am a cofounder of a tech company in it’s infancy and would love to form a working group with other entrepreneurs in the Boston area to meet up for coffee or drinks, brainstorm, network, etc. All industries and fields are welcome and if you are interested just leave a comment or dm and we can figure out how to get things started!!
So here's the thing -
I am working until about 11:30pm/12am on Thursday, and afterwards would like to dress up and have a couple drinks in a fun atmosphere.
Normally I would meet up with some friends or find a house party but due to the time and distance of where they'll be, I'm trying to keep it simple and not waste time traveling etc.
Ideally looking for a bar/event/party that does not require earlier registration (entry fee fine) to be able to go in costume and get a drink.
Its usually tricky finding places that are open late enough that aren't in Boston or Lowell, not sure if Halloween would change/help that
Looking for suggestions on places to go the closer to the Burlington or Waltham area the better, appreciate any help! Thanks :) 🎃

I live in the MetroWest area and I’m looking for female friends. I’m a big anime fan and attend Anime Boston every year. I enjoy cosplaying—nothing too elaborate yet, but I’m putting more effort into it as I go. I read quite a bit, mostly manga; and as a former film major, I have a strong passion for movies and TV. Recently, I’ve been watching a lot of A24 films. My favorite animated television series include The Simpsons, Futurama, and King of the Hill and I quote them often in my day-to-day life. I also enjoy gaming on my Switch, especially playing Animal Crossing. My favorite franchise is Zelda though. Attend concerts quite a bit, varied musical tastes. My favorite artists right now are Novo Amor, SYML, and Zolita. I have a variety of interests and hope to find people who share some of them with me!
Any guys up for hanging out? We're a fit, happy, healthy and fun loving couple. Playful sarcasm, nerdy chat, video games, walks, talks, and people watching.
Join us tonight? We're unexpectedly free.
Tell us at least a little about you, otherwise we tend to prioritize other's.
Pics and thoughtful messages to the front of the line!
We're in Copley/Back Bay Area.
Thanks!
With October rapidly coming to an end, it's time to squeeze the last few drops of Halloween happiness out of the remaining spooky season. Let's go watch the Somerville Theatre's Halloween Hullabaloo double feature of Beetlejuice (1988) and Little Shop of Horrors (1986) on Tuesday evening. A handful of the Redbones reddit meetup folks are already planning to go, so we should have a nice group of friendly millennials. The double-feature ticket is $18, and the first film starts rolling at 7:15pm. Let's plan to meet in the lobby by 7pm so we have plenty of time to argue over whether it's better to sit on the balcony or main floor. I'll wear a bright orange hoodie so we'll be easy to spot. Come be spooky with us!!
Anyone going to see Vini Vici at Royale on November 9th? Psy Snobs especially appreciated. Thanks!
29F & 32M looking to find some friends that share similar interests:
foodies, dancing (salsa/bachata, country, club, etc), EDM shows and culture but open to almost any kind of music, Bruins games, Billiards, Snowboarding
Both of us have professional careers and welcome the company of other adult professionals who also know how to have fun. We live in Somerville and are living a minimal alcohol consumption/active lifestyle.
DM with bio! Perhaps a whole group could meet up. 😁
It's the last Monday of the month, which means tonight is the Capitol Theatre's monthly Disasterpiece Theater movie series! The movie isn't announced beforehand, but I'd bet it'll be something Halloween themed. Here's their Instagram just to give an idea of the movies they've shown previously. The main movie starts at 7pm, and they have a pre-show hangout with short films and miscellaneous garbage clips starting at 6:30pm. It's all bizarre and wonderful. If you want to make a new friend (or nemesis?), I'll be there wearing an orange & green knit hat.
Description from their website:
Disasterpiece Theater is a monthly Z-movie night where weirdos from all walks of life gather to make fun of the worst films ever found on VHS, MST3K style. Come early for the pre-show tape swap, or just bring your friends (or enemies!) with you to eviscerate trash tapes over cold brews in a real live movie theatre! Held every last Monday at the Capitol Theatre in Arlington, and it’s totally free!
No tickets required.

It’s always the same writing about this Josh character looking to make new friends and listing out his hobbies, etc. I’m convinced they’re hacked accounts. What’s really going on here?
Hi everyone! I’m looking for a few new friends who would love to explore different bookstores and cafes in the city. I’m a big sucker for bookstores and love visiting new bookstores. I also love exploring new cafes in different neighborhoods. Some of the bookstores that I’ve been meaning to explore are brookline booksmith, beacon hill books and cafe, brattle bookshop, and porter square books. I also enjoy reading books from the Boston public library in Copley. I’m a 25yo grad student in Cambridge and weekends work best for me. Please reach out if you’re interested :)
Hi all, I'm Josh - born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts and I'm looking to make new friends around Boston. I graduated from UMass Amherst in 2023 in political science and I'm currently working in real estate sales and I'm also applying to law school. I love working out and staying in shape, hiking, exploring the city, playing tennis, meditating, and trying new types of food. If you feel like we'd get along, feel free to shoot me a message!
Also, my snap is patton3344 and my Instagram is joshua.lewis13
Hey ! I’m ( female, 24) looking to meet someone who’s also into exploring the city and making the most of weekends. I love going out for dinner, trying new cafes, and checking out unique spots around town. Whether it’s grabbing a coffee, hitting up a cozy restaurant, or finding a cool event, I’m all about enjoying good food and good company. If you’re around Boston and interested in hanging out and exploring together, feel free to reach out!
I've been living in Boston for 2 years and I've been having some trouble finding girl friends my age who enjoy similar music to me, and going to concerts alone is lonely 🥲 I'm 24F and I love emo, metalcore, scenecore, and some goth and hardcore. Please hmu if you're looking for a concert buddy or just a new friend!
Hi everyone!
I am 25 M recently moved to Malden. I am looking to meet new people, hangout and join Indian communities. If you have any suggestions or are looking for same, please shoot a DM!
Thanks!
Hii, I feel kind of silly going on Reddit for this, but I've recently been left with too much time on my hands as my roommates all gotten into relationships and now I have no one to hang out with on the weekends. I'm a very down for whatever person, from nightlife raves to staying inside and doing puzzles. I'm 19 and a graphic design major, and am just looking for FRIENDS
Every week the Mendoza Line show features amazing comedians in Boston's most intimate stand up show at 9pm, but this week, we've also got a great Halloween show at 11, where local comics do sets as other comedians, characters or just in a costume. It'll be goofy fun!
Not sure if any of you millennials want to dive into the deep end of spooky season, but the Coolidge Corner Theatre's 23rd annual halloween movie marathon runs through the night tonight. This year has a 'mad science' theme, and The Invisible Man (1933) and The Fly (1986) are the two films (out of a total of 7) that have been announced to start off the marathon.
If anyone wants to join in, we could gather a group together to hang out and watch some movies. Nothing builds friendships quite like sleep deprivation! Not sure the best way to gauge interest or coordinate planning/meeting beforehand, but I will 100% be there wearing an exceptionally obnoxious orange hoodie no matter what.

Hello people!
The next game will be tonight at Flat Top Johnny's, sorry for the short notice but I've been super busy with starting a new job this week!
As always, cost of the first table is on us and all experience levels are welcome. If you're brand new, you can learn the game without getting hustled, and if you're an expert, well maybe you can teach us a thing or two! See you there 👍
