Hello all,
Just another quick update to the dating event for next month: After a bit of a feedback and further discussion with my co-host, I have decided to make sign-ups for women rolling. We have also selected the date of 1/25/2025 as the day we will actually host the event. Location and time TBD but the event will be hosted in a location accessible to public transportation within Greater Boston (think Boston/Cambridge/Somerville).
If you are a lady and are interested in hearing further details, feel free to DM me to sign up.
I know I haven't been communicating with any you gentlemen who signed up yet - don't worry, you will hear from us soon.
Hey! I don’t really celebrate but I was thinking of going to Waterville on the 24/25th for a solo ski trip, skiing both days and leaving the mountain sometime in the afternoon on the 25th (once it gets more crowded) to go back to Boston. I’m going to book an airbnb for myself for the night of the 24th, looks like most of them I’ve browsed have an extra bed if you want to join or just meetup with me at the mountain for either day! I’m also open to other mountains as well if you already have solo plans elsewhere and want a ski buddy to come along.
I’m in my 30s so people 25+ would be great! DM me if you’re interested.
The stars and planets are aligning on Saturday – and by "stars" and "planets" I mean Couch Dog Brewing's dark beer celebration and Gentile/Backbeat Brewing's winter edition of Casks on Park. Because drinking beer with friends is good, a few of our weekly beer-drinking group are heading north for some extracurricular beer drinking.
We're planning on grabbing $10 weekend commuter rail passes and heading up to Beverly from North Station on the 12:30pm train. After hydrating with some British-style cask ales at Backbeat and Gentile, we'll backtrack one stop for stouts and porters in Salem. Probably grab some food somewhere at some point. You should come join us!
If anyone wants to join the beer tour from Boston, we can meet in front of the train platforms at North Station at 12:15pm. If anyone wants to meet up with the group in Beverly, MBTA says that we'll be arriving at the station at 1:06pm, which means we'll be at Backbeat Brewing around 1:07pm. Or just DM me to see where we are. If you want to meet us later in Salem, you should definitely DM me to see where/when/why/how we are. I'll plan to wear the standard obnoxious orange hoodie so we're easier to spot.
Come be social with us!!! 🍻

Review for Bass Oasis ⭐☆☆☆☆
I cannot recommend Bass Oasis to anyone in the local music scene. The event’s origins are deeply rooted in manipulation and betrayal. The current owner backstabbed the previous owner, stealing ideas and taking credit for the event’s foundation. This betrayal left a stain on what could have been a genuine and collaborative experience for the community.
Many people in the scene refuse to support Bass Oasis due to these actions, as its reputation for dishonesty has grown. Instead of fostering a positive environment, it seems more focused on personal gain at the expense of others.
Just recently they attempted to pull a scam on the Boston Flowmies after they booked an event at BO’s location. They stated after the plans were made that the profits would actually go to bass oasis and not flowmies or artists unless an unspecified amount is brought that night from the flowmies event
I personally know numerous people that have been burned by this group whose voices have been overshadowed by BO’s marketing.
If you value integrity and community, I urge you to reconsider attending or supporting this event. There are other, more trustworthy and ethical events out there that deserve your time and support.
It's fight night at the Multiplayer Museum; featuring a kaleidoscopic crossover theme! We're not just talking the biggest characters in gaming; we've got some heroes in the building too! May the best win...
What will we play?
Event is free! Come join us in the Idle Hands: Craft Ales Taproom, located at 89 Commercial Street, Malden, MA 02148

Do you guys just go out alone, like when your friends don’t want to go clubbing with you. Do you still just go? I’m still wanting to go out and go clubbing but i don’t have friends that want or enjoy going out. When I do go out alone I get nervous and usually leave since it’s just me. Any tips?
I’m a man who is exhausted with the Boston dating scene. I am a 40 year old man who’s single without children. I’ve never been married. I’m brilliant and well spoken. Im charismatic and fun, I have met actors, professional athletes and US congressman and been so much fun and so charismatic that I’ve taken them with me to eat, bar crawl and take shots. I have a keen eye for many things. I love and own German cars, custom made Italian suits in the super 150’s, German and French dress shoes, and so much more. My attention to detail is unparalleled and I can speak about the collapse of the French government to multiple European no confidence votes. Learning is a passion for me and I spend upwards of 3-4 hours daily at a minimum dedicated to learning and being well informed by reading all aspects of news. I am also a huge lover of film. I screen shows and films regularly from my living room which is set up as a movie theatre level enjoyment. I love being outside and sight seeing, part of that is my private rooftop deck which I am fortunate to spend a lot of my free time. Travel is another passion of mine. I keep a home in Boston but there are years that I’m here a mere 50-100 days. I’ve lived in over 12 states and 15 cities since I started my own business. I’m obsessed with collecting experiences. The only limit that I have is what I’m limiting myself to.
I would love to meet someone ambitious. Someone who wants more out of life than the average person. Someone who vibes with the aforementioned description. Someone who believes that they can change the world, because anything else is settling. Those with much have a responsibility to give and care for those without. I have much and my responsibility is to give to others. Morals and integrity mean the world to me.
If nothing else, I hope that I can inspire others to succeed at the level they’ve dreamed. Turn a dream into a reality
Hi everyone! I’m a 23-year-old female moving to the South End in January for grad school at Harvard, and I’m super excited to be back in Boston after years away. I grew up in Brookline until I was 12, but I’ve been living out of state since—so I’m looking forward to re-exploring the city and meeting new people.
I’m into a mix of things, so I’d love recommendations for:
I’ve checked older posts here but would really appreciate updated recommendations. Thanks so much for the help—I can’t wait to get back and dive into everything Boston has to offer!
33F, live in the greater Boston area and would love to find another (preferably female) singer and musician to collaborate with! I mostly play folk, singer-songwriter or indie music and have written some songs of my own, too. I play guitar and piano primarily (my guitar playing is still pretty rudimentary, but I'm wanting to practice more and improve). DM me if you'd be interested in meeting up and playing music together!
Hey guys! I’m thinking of taking Thursday off to hit Waterville for a solo trip since they’re getting 5 inches of snow Weds night / Thurs morning.
Leaving from Somerville around 6am to get there around 8:30. Let me know if you’d like to join for a weekday adventure!
Hey, there’s an upcoming BIPOC Speed-Friending event on Monday, December 23 from 7-9pm at Long Live Roxbury! I wanted to share this in case anyone is interested in getting out there and having psychology-backed, connection-based conversations with kind strangers. It’s with a group called “Skip the Small Talk”, and they really do SKIP past all the niceties and dive into DEEP topics with a trauma-informed facilitator.
NOTE: This event is for BIPOC persons. All folks who identify as BIPOC (inclusive of people who identify as partially BIPOC) are enthusiastically welcome!***
What: BIPOC Speed-Friending: Meetup, Hang Out, & Make New Friends!
When: Monday, December 23 from 7-9pm
Where: Long Live Roxbury, 152 Hampden St, Boston, MA 02119P.S.
Tickets!
I’m starting Next Chapter PVD, a non-fiction book club in Providence, RI, focused on exploring big ideas in business, innovation, leadership, psychology, strategy, risk, sports analytics, politics, marketing, and decision-making. Our first read is The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg, a great starting point for understanding how habits shape our lives and work.
First Meeting Details:
I know Providence may be a drive for some of you in Boston, but if you’re willing to make the trip—or if over time enough people are interested, I might consider alternating locations.
If you’re interested in exploring non-fiction that challenges your thinking and introduces new perspectives, I’d love to have you join.

I recently moved to MA this summer. I’m looking to stay a few nights in Boston for NYE. Any recommendations for bars, hotels to stay at, events or places to eat.
For reference 26F. I’m more into Hip-hop, Rap & R&B if I’m going out, but I also love a grungy dive bar.
Hello everyone,
We received a huge response to the sign-up post for the dating event I put up a few days ago and now I have closed sign-ups because we have enough people for a large venue without having to specifically rent out space. My intent is to keep the event free so hence the end of sign-ups.
Since many more men than women signed up, I would like to ensure that most of the women who signed up can attend. If you are a lady who signed up over the past few days, please check your spam for my email asking for your availability in January. It comes from an @outlook.com email address.
Thank you and hope to see you all soon!
There's a King's in Dedham which is a 5 minute walk from the Dedham Corporate Center train stop. It also has plenty of parking if you want to drive.
I'm wondering if anyone would want to meet up to bowl. They also have pool and arcade games and a bar there (although I don't know how to play pool).
I don't have a time or date or anything planned yet, just seeing if anyone would be interested in something like this and then we can make specific plans.
You know how Google Maps lets you favorite businesses or sites like Rateyourmusic or Backloggd let you save music or games to check out later?
Does anything exist for events? Or what do you use to remember?

Hello everyone! While I might not be making it to pool myself, at least two Guppies said that they want to play this weekend, and asked me to post on their behalf.
As always, all experience levels are welcome! I may not see you there, but I've made some great friends from this group over the last year, and hope you do too 👍

Also feel free to meet us there if you get your own lodging. I’ll be skiing Fri and Sat, possibly Sun and my friends will also be there Monday. We’re all in our 30s, open to anyone 25+.
