applying this year and absolutely loved the campus and its programs. I was just wondering what the party/social scene is like. I have a lot of friends and neu and ik they go to other schools to party lol.
my kid is likely going to apply for HCE at BC but i can't find any stats that show how hard it is. i heard there are only 45-50 spots per class so that means if only 500 people apply that's a 10% admit rate which sounds quite low but doesn't take much. has anyone heard of any statistics specifically for the HCE admit rate?
As someone who is
Does anyone who has taken this course have any recommendations for good/easy professors or professors to avoid? Or even any good professors for Management classes in general
BC nursing is my dream program, and there are many things I am curious to know about the application process. How often are middle-income students admitted with financial aid? What are your stats and ecs that got you into BC nursing? What do you think made you stand out from a large pool of applicants? Did you submit your AP scores?
Hi guys I’m a hs senior strongly considering applying ED to BC. I just wanted to know; is it really that much trouble to get into Boston? Is the T ride really 45 minutes?
just a question- would it be seen as weird to wear a costume to the game tomorrow? my bf (bc grad) and i planned a costume because we saw some people last year wearing them but now we're not so sure if it'll seem silly. TIA for the advice 😅
I’m gonna be graduating next semester, so I wanted to see if anyone would recommend some fun, memorable classes that they took at BC so far!
I want to major in something business related, but I think my application feeds better into political science/international studies/ something along those lines -- my supplemental essay (the thing that would set me apart from other candidates) is about that, and that's what my extracurriculars are centered around. Should I just apply to CSOM anyways? Or apply to a different college and try to transfer in right away?
I am a current freshman at BC and I am thinking about my opportunities in the future. I initially came to BC wanting to be a finance major, but after taking my financial accounting class, I have considered pursuing a CPA. Is anyone currently on the CPA route who can give opinions on how it is going and the program's difficulty? Does BC offer a good amount of support for those pursuing a CPA?
I'm a sophomore with 4 years of housing. I'm in an 8 man with a group of people that I thought I would click with but I've realized that it just doesn't feel right. I feel terrible about it. I struggled with making friends freshman year and I was so grateful to be able to room with these guys. I feel bad but I just don't feel like I'm part of the group you know... like I feel like I still haven't truly found "my people." so I'm thinking of just staying on campus next year and potentially getting random roommates if that's a possibility... might as well avoid the stress of finding off campus housing if I don't know who to live with anyway. Any advice? Sorry for the long post
Just applied to MCAS under a history major ED (took AP World/US/Euro/Gov and got all 5’s). I want to go to law school. Would both at once be doable? Are you usually able to tackle all the requirements? I’m also not a super good math student (taking AP Calc AB now). Any help appreciated
Has anyone here transferred to bc from a community college? If so how much more difficult was it academically? I have a 4.0 gpa at my cc and want to apply to bc next year but I’m worried it will be a giant leap in academic rigor.
Has anyone taken CSCI2268 Data, Ethics and Society? if so, how was it, what did you learn, did you need coding experience, etc just looking for any information
Hello there I am not part of BC but an international student who will be in Boston for 1 week starting Oct 28. As i saw in the website (https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/offices/rec/memberships/membership-fees.html), there is a type of 1 day membership for guests, but available only if invited by an a BC student ( the main office just confirmed that for me over the phone) I would appreciate if anyone here is open to assist so i can purchase that type of pass. Would be happy to provide my full details and any relevant information over a private message.
Alternatively, would appreciate if someone can recommend me a different gym in the area.
Thanks!
would like some notes (ex. i think you should expand more on this.... maybe include this because BC values ____) and literally even just getting it skimmed through and providing feed back would mean the world to me!! im applying into MCAS and kind of framed my essay around the global public health major, but I would appreciate feedback from anybody!
Exchange student Milan
Has anyone studied in Milan? Can you suggest living arrangements. Was there anything you wish you knew before hand. Did you stay at Aparto Giovenale
Hi, My cousin is a senior planning on applying to BC's Connell School of Nursing. She is a MA resident.
She goes to a pretty nice public school in MA and from what I know, her GPA is 4.0 unweighted (4.06/4.33) up til junior year. She also took a lot of AP courses and did pretty well in them. Her SAT superscored is 1510. She doesn't have many academic awards (besides honor roll and AP scholars with distinction), but she leads two clubs and participates in a lot of volunteer service.
From what I know, she's really stressed because she is currently taking AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, and AP Psych. She is doing well in Calc BC and Psych, but she's terrified because of her low Physics C grade. She's thinking she could get anywhere from a low C to a low B.
I don't know her actual grade, but does anybody know if this drop would significantly reduce her chances of getting in? She's one of the best students I've ever known, and she has always been hardworking (which makes it kind of hard for her grades to improve over the course of high school).
Where is there a job board for BC students (Not Handshake, that is for corporate jobs)?
i'm a freshman year history major theology minor, thinking about taking a roman religion course next year that is crosslisted as HIST4211/THEO2241/CLAS2242. would this count as both a history elective for my major and a theology elective for my minor? if not, can i choose which one it applies to?
