I took this during a golden hour forest walk in early fall. He's so much more relaxed and happy in the country than in the suburbs. Come to think of it so am I.

I'm traveling back through LAX from DTW with my 2yr Border Terrier and would like to avoid paying the $150 pet fee going back. Is there a way to get him ESA registered without seeing my doctor? My new medical coverage is starting 1/2025 so I don't have health insurance currently. If not, I'll pay the $150 for now
Any advice recommended!
Took this profile at the start of Dusk on the shores of the Saint Lawrence River. BTs have such a great profile!
My border terrier is 8 years old and has always had the same branded dry food since she was a puppy however, we’ve recently noticed her become irritated by her skin. Predominantly her lower back where she now has sores from scratching and biting. Has anyone experienced this that could recommend a product or diet change that may help her from the itching skin? Her fur does feel a bit dry but wasn’t entirely sure if that’s just the weather change?
I have a 2.5 year old border terrier that used to be great with other dogs and people. People would stop.and ask us to pet him, everything was good. He'd meet new dogs and want to play. We trained him, socialized him with other dogs and people.
Now when we walk he often wants to play with or he's aggressive towards other dogs, or will flip from one behavior to another. It's a mixed bag. There's no consistency. He has both a distinct "I want to play" vocalization and a "I'm dominant" barking.
I continue to work on him heeling and ignoring other dogs on our walk, with some success. He was attacked by three Malamutes a year ago who charged onto our property, and now he gets aggro immediately towards anything that looks like a husky. Some dogs he likes others he barks at and advances on, golden or French bulldog, he can be unpredictable.
We've got a vet/behavioralist meeting in 2 weeks, I'm wondering, what I can do now? Any recommendations?
T-Rex loves walks in the snow.
Can anyone help identify this kind of behaviour?
I own a 13 month old Border, Ralph.
Ralph has been barking at other dogs from across the street but is usually fine off-lead. I also think it's worth noting he has has had an upset stomach for 4/5 months, on and off. We are working with a vet to figure out what is wrong. Right now, we've been told it's B12 deficiency.
I want to know if Ralph is aggressive or whether he's prehaps frustrated that Nico wasn't giving him the same attention back?
Hi yall! I have a dog and a two cats in my household. I’ve fallen in love with a sweet little Border Terrier at the shelter. She’s 6 months old. Do you think that’s too old to introduce to a cat? No idea about her previous atmosphere. I want to adopt her and her be a part of the family, but I also don’t want to put my cats at risk. Any ideas?

We have a great little guy but for the last month or so he has grown increasingly reactive on walks. If he is on a walk with no other dogs present he heels well and does absolutely fine. If we encounter another dog he does not know he gets quite agitated and many times has to be kept on a short leash because we know he will leap and bark like a mad man. He goes to dog daycare once a week and they report no issues. He also sometimes gets agitated by bikers. Any thoughts. It started about 3-4 weeks ago. Some days are better than others but generally it is getting worse.
We are so excited and are wondering if you all have any advice on early training or anything you would have liked to have known with your border puppy. Any resources you like would be greatly appreciated too.

Seems like I just posted asking about tips for weathering our girl's first heat in September. Our vet's advice was to have one heat before the spay. Well...she will be spayed on the 29th and I figure y'all would be understanding of what we face afterwards trying to keep our 10 month old ball of energy quiet and low energy for a while to make sure she heals properly. How was it for you having your girl spayed? Any tips on how to deal? How long would you say you really needed to keep her quiet and low activity?
Lots of fun times & challenging times from puppy hood to this point - but he's a great little fella. Me & partner we're both so nervous about getting our first dog and all that entails, but it's brought so much to our lives - couldn't imagine life without the little nutter now!
