Hello,
I need a self storage recommendation for storing a bicycle and other bits and bobs. In Bolton town centre or south Bolton, please.
Thanks
I know I'm unlikely to find anything but does anyone know of any jobs going on saturday afternoons and/or sundays? I'm a student and can't do weekdays so I was just curious if anyone had seen anything. Cheers
Always find Chinese to be hit and miss.
Any recommendations for Chinese places in North Bolton?
Any running or even fitness club in Bolton?
Afternoon all!
I’m after some wanderers 90s football shirts, size L/XL and struggling to find anything in the area shop wise. Anyone have any recommendations in the Bolton area for people/shops that may have some decent condition shirts?
Cheers!
I might be speaking for all Bolton fans that live in Kearsley when I say that there should be pubs that are good that show Bolton Wanderers. My go to pub is the Market Inn in Farnworth and it would be simpler if there was a pub that shows Bolton Wanderers in Kearsley instead of getting the bus to Farnworth.
I grew up in Bolton, but not lived there for 13 years. Recently I have been back a bit more regularly for work reasons, so occasionally pop into the Scythe or Spoons while waiting for trains etc.
All I see on Bolton related Facebook groups is people complaining about the state of the town and lamenting its decline. Don’t get me wrong, I’m aware it’s not great but also…come on it’s hardly Mad Max is it.
Obviously we’d all prefer it if it was a hub of independent shops and thriving markets rather than vape shops and pound shops but if you’d not been back in a while you’d think it was a war-torn wasteland from reading these groups. It’s not like it was amazing 10 or 20 years ago either, it’s been a bit on its arse as long as I can remember, at least there’s stuff like the vaults now and The Scythe, Alma and Ye Olde are still going. Briefly popped in to Right to Roam Festival last year too and that seemed like a good do.
Obviously austerity and economic decline has hit hard too but that’s the same for pretty much every town round here, hardly Bolton’s fault.
Sometimes I think the doommongers may have a more sinister reason for being so disparaging, as they often seem to be disproportionately upset about the presence of businesses run by particular demographics…
Am I wrong? Maybe yeah but also, please lighten up a bit!
Hey everyone,
I'm a 15-year-old male interested in computer science. I'm looking for a 1-week internship in Bolton to gain some practical experience. I'm open to any area of computer science.
Does anyone have any advice on how to find a short-term internship in Bolton? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Btw, my internship would be in around June-July of next year.
As per title.
Any really good authentic Indian deliveries people can recommend?
Normally order Spice Island so that will be our go to if we don't get any other recommendations.
Really craving giant fresh peshwari nan breads, fish pakoras and a spicy curry!
Edit:
Gave Kaash a go. Over Ramsbottom way.
Delivered quick, food was hot and tasty.
No fish pakoras on the menu which was a shame.
Naan was okay but a little on the small side and more doughy than fluffy.
Pasanda was good, but i asked for it to be Jalfrezi hot and it wasn't spicy at all. (I appreciate it's not supposed to be a hot curry, but what can I say, I love creamy/coconutty spicy curries!).
Saag Paneer was really good.
On the whole, everything could have just done with being a lot spicier, but i do have a bad cold so maybe it was my taste buds.
Cheers for the recommendations.
Recently moved over to Bolton. Just wondering if anyone knew of any jobs that are going. Not had much luck applying online anywhere. Thanks in advance
Hiya I applied to the special makeup effects for films and TV a few days ago, I searched on Google how long it takes for then to get back and the unis Faq page says 3 days. It's on the 3rd day now and I still haven't heard anything? Anyone else have this issue/any advice or know how long it actually takes? thank you, I'm an anxious person and this is my top choice so 😅
So my employer needed me to have an enrolment letter from my University (Bolton University), I was under the impression that the university sends it to everybody who has enrolled, and they probably missed mine due to some error, so I went to the university and they told me it would take a week and there’s nothing they can do about it. The employer interview was this evening, I told university that I am in urgent need and finding a job is already very difficult, if I don’t get it today then I would most likely miss this opportunity but they told me there’s nothing they can do. They suggested I tell the employer that I have applied for it and would get it in a week. Guess what, the employer said they can’t accommodate me and I did miss the job opportunity. It’s been more than a month since I have been looking for a part-time job, the only one that I got offered was rejected because of shit policies my university has. Printing a letter and stamping it apparently requires 5 business days for some people. I’m so pissed.
What schools are the best round Bolton or in Bolton? Which ones should I avoid too?
DPD delivery shoved my package into a locker after 'attempting' to deliver the package (I was home day but ey what's new). They sent me a notification to say they have left it to pick up a the locker on Mornington Road at Morrisons. Been looking for that locker all over and I cannot seem to find it. Does anyone have any idea where the hell is that locker?
Thank you in advance
EDIT it is not the InPost Locker nor the Amazon one near the gas station. Thank you for your responses so far x
After that result, I'll not bother.
I moved the Bolton a few months ago, and I've really struggled to find any local groups to make new friends. I work 9-5ish in Preston and have good friends there, but it's a right faff to go back up there for stuff on weekends. I'd really love to meet some people more locally. I've moved around a fair bit, and usually go to a few social groups (like board games, crafts, walking groups etc) to meet people. But I've struggled to find any of those on evenings/weekends in Bolton. Does anyone know of any?
22M student at the university of Bolton. Need accomodation urgently in vicinity of the university. Budget is 350-400 per month max. Im conscious about hygiene and keep my surroundings clean. Shared or separate, anything works.
Anyone tried it yet? Website looks sensational. What’s the top tip to order and what to avoid?
Checked the rules but if mods want to delete, please let me know
Hey everyone, I've noticed a few posts recently for people asking for suggestions of things to do around Bolton. My local is running a tribute night on 29th Nov. It's at the Toby Carvery on Crompton Way. Poster attached 🙂
To the gang of lads who just fired a firework towards a family and baby in pram on Newport Street bridge, I hope you are caught and dealt with. Absolute scum and police have your descriptions!
It's not dark yet, hold up on your fireworks ffs
😆
Title, if anyone’s aware of any in the local area could you let me know I’ve been a scaffolder, retail, sales. Cheers
I've got a vaccine appointment set for: Market Place, Bolton Health Hive, Unit 9, Knowsley Street, BL1 2AL
Am I reading this map aright - and this is next to the Boots Store (Unit 8b) on Ground Floor?

Bolton has a huge firework problem. Even before Halloween, every night I hear fireworks going off. Then tonight, there was a gang of kids running up and down the street, launching fireworks up the road. They set up in Heywood park and go ballistic. It turns Bolton nights into sounding like a war zone, absolutely insufferable. Nobody is going to stop them, so I guess we just plug our ears and try to get on with it? There's no reason for it, none.
