It’s too late to register online or by mail, and you cannot register to vote on Election Day or any time after November 2nd. However, you can still register during the early voting period from October 17th to November 2nd at any early voting site in your county. Here’s what you’ll need to bring:
1. Proof of Residence: A document showing your name and current address in North Carolina. Acceptable documents include:
• North Carolina driver’s license (this satisfies both the proof of residence and photo ID requirements).
• Other photo ID issued by a government agency.
• A utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document with your name and current address.
• A current college/university photo ID paired with proof of campus residence.
2. Photo ID Requirement: Starting in 2023, North Carolina requires voters to show a valid photo ID. Acceptable forms include:
• North Carolina driver’s license or state ID.
• U.S. passport.
• Military or Veterans ID.
• Tribal ID.
• College/university photo ID (with proof of campus habitation).
Note: If you don’t have a valid photo ID, you can request a free voter photo ID from your county board of elections.
You can also register in person before the early voting period ends at your county board of elections or other official registration locations like the DMV or public libraries.
Make sure to bring the required documents to register and vote during the early voting period, as you cannot register to vote after November 2nd!

See you there!
HI! I am an organizer with the North Carolina Democratic Party and we are running virtual phone banks everyday until election day from noon to 8pm! With Election Day around the corner, the one of the most impactful things you can do to help support Team Harris-Walz is to call people in North Carolina. Phone banks help us energize, organize, and mobilize voters so every person who calls help so much to flip NC blue. It is very easy and and we provide you all the training you need. I went to the DMV in Wendell on September 12th. I’m new to NC so I needed a driver’s license and wanted to register to vote while I was there. The woman behind the counter did everything for me, just asked if I wanted to register and what party preference I had. I said yes, Democratic Party. It’s been almost 3 weeks now and my online search is still yielding no results on my voter registration. My partner, who went to the DMV with me on the same day but had a different person process her request, is showing up registered. I hate to jump to any conclusions but do y’all think this DMV employee would have “accidently” not registered me after hearing I’m a democrat?
We’re so excited to launch the Americans Abroad for #HarrisWalz Zoom call, to carry the incredible energy from the 2024 DNC Convention out to US citizens living around the world!
On the call you’ll hear from special guests, elected officials, and other Americans abroad on why they are supporting #HarrisWalz 2024 and concrete actions to take to DO SOMETHING.
RSVP now through Democrats Abroad!
And if you’re an eligible U.S. citizen living overseas and haven’t registered to vote, go to votefromabroad.org to do so RIGHT NOW!
Hello! I recently became a mod of the sub and looking forward to working towards flipping NC blue!
First, you'll notice a few changes. I will be adding and changing the Wiki in the coming weeks, so I would love feedback and suggestions for volunteering, organizations to recommend, etc.
Let's kick some ass in 2024!
Hi, everyone - My name is Cole Harbur. I've organized a team of about 10 people to help FlipNC Blue. We're really getting started next week with our efforts.
For the past couple of weeks, I've been looking for a community to connect with after the Pod Save America trainings. There are a couple of things I'm still not clear about and would appreciate help with!
1 - what organizations are everyone working with? The team I've organized is supporting FlipNC. Are there any others you guys would recommend?
2 - how have you implemented the "digital captain" and "data captain" roles? I'm still confused at to exactly how those work within a small team
Thanks for your help and looking forward to meeting all of you in this important work - Cole
Hi Everyone!
Now that the target counties have been identified it's time to start finding our digital mediums. We need to create a list of online communities specific to these the swing identified. The big 3 we'll start with are:
Onslow,
New Hanover,
Brunswick.
We want ** student meme pages, Facebook groups, Twitter pages, subreddits, and Local newspaper websites**.
