Hii! I have started a blog on TTRPGs (news, reviews, essays and the like) a little over two months ago. It honestly exceeded my expectations in terms of viewership, as it has garnered almost 8k views and over 5k visitors in that time frame and I don't even have a proper domain yet (blog on wordpress.com). From the start I had almost weekly news post where I talked about different new releases and kickstarter/backerkit campaigns for TTRPGs which sounded interesting and they would've usually garnered around 150 views. The last two however garnered views way slower and managed to reach 100 days after about a week or even more. I would like to keep making them, as I do enjoy researching new projects and from what I talked with some of the creators of the projects I've written about, it is appreciated. However, the views have fallen on those type of article and I am wondering if I should move them from weekly posts to bi-monthly. And if so, perhaps change the structure a bit in order to talk about more projects without it feeling too word-bloaty (as reference at the moment a new post has around 300-400 words per project discussed).
I would appreciate any advice! Thank you in advance!
Hey all - I use Google Search Console for my blog (new blog only about a month old). I tried to submit my sitemap but it keeps saying “couldn’t fetch” and shows a 403 error. However, when I use the URL inspection tool and search my sitemap URL, it says the link is not on Google but is available to Google and it says fetch was successful. Is this normal for a newer blog? My main blog page is indexed already but none of my posts are yet, and I’m just concerned about being unable to submit my sitemap. I already worked with my host to make sure there’s nothing blocking Google bots in my robots.txt and .htaccess folders.
I'm rejigging the format of my website and thinking about a single page home page leading to pillar pages. I haven't quite decided on the format yet so I'm hoping to see some examples to see what might work for me.
If you have a single page home page or pillar page that you're proud of, please share links below. Thanks!
Hey everyone 👋🏻
I have noticed that many other bloggers have this little "save it" button on all their blog images that directly save the image to the reader's pinterest board of choice.
I want to add that button as well, but it seems so complicated for someone who is not a coder.
I tried to paste the code provided on the Pinterest website through the WPcode plugin.
But it keeps giving me the "unexpected token" error and the button doesn't show up.
I have looked into another plugin called Tastypins, but that is like $50/year for one website.
Is there a simpler and free way to do this?
I don't want to paste the code directly into the theme as I don't have child theme, so the code with get erased every time the theme updates.
That's why I was trying to use WPcode plugin to insert the code universally, but couldn't make it work.
How do you guys do it?
Would really appreciate a link to a relevant tutorial. (Most tutorials on YouTube are dated or promote paid plugins).
This has been happening to me as of late when I actually sit down and use my brain cells to write.
The funny thing is that these people (accusers) are so certain in themselves that its almost impossible to convince them otherwise. It seems like everyone's faith in the creativity of their fellow humans has dwindled since AI has been popularized. What a shame this is.
Under such a circumstance and cultural narrative where any good piece of work (not just writing) is suspected of being AI generated, how should one feel about it all?
Not sure if people should take the accusations as a compliment or relently defend their case and look like even bigger fools.
Hi all! I've been hosted with SiteGround for several years, and while I've liked their services and customer support, I'm starting to become fed up with the price hikes and add-ons. Like many, I was enticed by a steep discount for my first year, and had sticker shock on my first renewal. Now, I'm starting to wonder if I can find better value elsewhere.
I've heard great things about both Hostinger and Lyrical Host. I understand that Lyrical Host is a 20i reseller, but it seems like they provide a lot in terms of technical support and in that they're specifically geared towards WordPress sites/bloggers. Hostinger has really affordable pricing, and strong reviews from other Redditors.
If you made the switch to either of these hosts from SiteGround, or can offer any insight into your general experience with them, please let me know! Looking to decide where to go ASAP.
I do blogging for my solo law firm. Would like to get more exposure. Does it make sense to blog somewhere additional to my website with a lot of blog traffic and link back to my site? Just want more exposure and to get myself out there with the blogging more but am a newb with the blogging side of things. I’d essentially just be posting my firm blog on my site and then somewhere else.
can any one help me that ? even for money i am read massage me
Hii Bloggers,
Accidentally I found 1 keyword which has volume of millions, and website which rank for that keyword has over 10 million visitors a month. It has very low keyword difficulty (less than 10). I think we can rank with less than 15 backlinks.
But as I am new in this field, I don't know how to get backlinks for site. And I am fearing that if I ask someone for backlink then he will also know the keyword and he can also make website on that keyword. Can anyone suggest some great way for my situation??
Thanks in advance!!
I've been blogging for well over a decade and just started a new blog in December. But those blogs were essentially ends in themselves. Personal branding if you will.
I just built a new website in the fall using WordPress and Avada Theme Forest. My business advisor has recommended I create a blog as a marketing tool.
The strategy would be to create blog posts dedicated to specific demographic segments that I serve: tourist locations in my state, new businesses particularly with themed environments in my city, and large fabrication shops regionally that would be in a position to sub out work.
The idea is that I create targeted blog posts for each of these segments and then promote that post through my networking circles and build up an email marketing list where I can email potential clients with links to my blog.
The blog would be a page on my website.
All sounds like a viable strategy but a new one to me. I'm wondering if any of you have done this specific type of blogging and if you have any warnings or advice.
I don't have any data on this so I am trying to collect some from here.
Currently, many websites look amazing as do their content/blog pages.
Let's say even if you are providing valuable content but your website looks basic (WordPress), do people even care to read the blog or do they just skip it if there's only content over there?
This is what I mean when I say a modern and basic Design, I might be wrong
We are planning to hire writers for a project we have, and the biggest question is how can we know if they are just giving us some garbage AI generated content? And is AI generated content safe to use when it comes to SEO and page ranking on google?
We have already hired 3, so we don’t need more please don’t DM for that.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a Webflow app that automatically generates short summaries for blog posts and adds them at the top of each article. The idea is to help readers quickly understand the main points and decide if the content is worth their time.
I’ve seen some encouraging early results (like better engagement and longer time spent on pages), but I’d really love to get more feedback from real users to improve it further.
If you run a blog, create content, or manage a website with a blog section, I’d love for you to test it out. You’ll get free access to the app during the testing phase, and in return, I’d just ask for your honest feedback on how it works for you.
No strings attached—I’m just looking for people who are curious about AI tools and willing to share their thoughts.
If you’re interested, leave a comment or send me a DM, and I’ll share the details to get you started.
Thanks so much!
Hey everyone! I’m just curious if there are people who create long form content like articles on their mobiles. Do you have any tips or ticks? I hate writing on mobile and I exclusively put all my content together on my laptop as I usually have 20 tabs open for research, text editor, image editor, CMS,… yes there’s a lot of app switching!
I consider my phone more for consumption than creation.
Any tips or recommendations regarding your workflow, process etc.?
It sounds counter intuitive, but I have now heard from at least a dozen people in technical niches that it now takes them longer to research and Post a blog, since AI has come out, then before AI came out. In some instances where for example if they needed 1 week to produce a post. Now it takes them 2 weeks.
Just curious to see if this is also happening across other niches in the world ?
I don’t know, it could. I also have a side blog but mostly for educational purposes and it is a hobby.
I do use AI for research and I have also noticed that it take me much much longer to post a blog as well.
But for me, I only use AI for research and then also use it for grammar and spelling and English structure.
I am not kidding, It is so easy for me to detect AI generated content, and when ever I come across it on the internet, I immediately leave the page.
My blog (beginnercryptoguide.wordpress.com) already has four pages indexed in Google, but I cannot index one page in Bing. Has anyone had this issue? If so, please let me know how you resolved it.
Hey, so I almost quit blogging right when I started and didn't see results . Typical . Well I wanna go at it again. M not sure if m gonna keep working on it, been running low on motivation.
I have a personal blog. It doesn't have a particular niche but ig it revolves around lifestyle, thought provocation etc. i basically started because my mind is filled with ideas that I wanna share n get some insights on. To also keep it raw I wanted a income (ad revenue).
I lost my motivation because the traction I got barely resulted in engagement (my main motive). I am not a writer but I don't see another way to express comparitvely.
Altho I do think I make impressive content. Ik that I lack at some main issues. My content doesn't solve queries(as of yet). Looks ai-ish , altho I do paraphrase it alot, no consistency, not pursuing a single niche.
If anyone can give me raw input on this, would be appreciated. Or some ways to keep motivation or genuine feedbacks
I have seen many people on here trying to pick the most profitable niche based just on income opportunities, but I challenge you to rethink the approach.
As someone with a portfolio I can honestly say the sites that perform best are those where income opportunity and passion collide.
In fact, my latest passion project started as just that, a fun side project that grew into something bigger and has started earning a solid spot in my portfolio alongside those that were started with an income focus.
When choosing where to put your time, I encourage any new bloggers to search for that sweet spot 😉
I am launcing a blog that I plan to treat as a business. I have zero posts currently published but have a backlog of about 40 posts ready to publish. Should I publish maybe 20-30 to start and then do a slow release after that? Or should I just start by posting one a day without doing a content dump first?
Ideally, I plan on publishing 3-5 times per week.
I've read other threads on this subject but they are somewhat old, so I'm wondering what the best practice is as of 2025.
Can I wait a few months to actually post? I just got the first part of my website up and running on WordPress, partly to lock in my domain, partly to keep my momentum going.
My employer offers LinkedIn Learning as a benefit and I'm allowed to take classes as I have time. I'm going to take some classes about how to use WordPress, how to write headlines, SEO, social media, etc. I don't feel ready to write yet. I have about a year's worth of content planned out; I plan to post once a week with a bonus post at the beginning or end of the month. I know that I could be writing and doing all of the above at the same time, but that's just not what my motivation is. I really want to sit down and think things through, I took a content marketing class and realized I need to think about my "brand," etc.
My question, however, is if my website just sits there for a few months without content as I make it look cool and get it all prepped and ready, will it be harder to become visible online when I finally do post? I'll be sending index requests, etc from the moment I start posting, but I don't want to risk shooting myself in the foot because I wanted to take my sweet time. If it's smarter to start posting now to maintain visibility, that's just what I'll have to do. Thanks in advance!
I watch so many blogging channels and people are complaining about this and that with their blogs - but their blogs are just rubbish.
Typical WordPress sites. Slow. Uninspiring. Boring. Not focused on getting subscribers.
It's no wonder why so many fail.
I don't think they can see it.
And here's another thing: why aren't people using Ghost.org? It crazy Ghost isn't being used by more people. It makes WordPress look like a bin fire.
I'm annoyed with Ghost because they seem to do zero marketing to people. Maybe they don't want to be associated with a bunch of crap blogs.
Since December 20, my ranking has been falling. I thought it was normal at first, but in January, I hardly got any clicks—none at all. img of google console Today, I checked semrush and found that none of my keywords are ranking; they aren't even in the top 100.
I looked in Google Search Console, and it shows my site is indexed. I'm new to this, so I don't know what's going wrong. My new blogs aren't showing up in search results, even though Google says they are indexed. Could this be due to a recent Google update? I also wasn’t active for about a month, but I didn’t expect my rankings to drop this much. Now, almost all of my keywords show zero searches.
Guys what do I do next , whats the issue that I'm facing?
This is a message for all my fellow bloggers that I wanted to share with you.
I started creating content in early 2023 but not with blogging. At first I tried YouTube and TikTok, thinking that was the best way to share my contents. But I quickly realized video content wasn’t for me it. So I switched to blogging. I liked writing. It wasn’t easy, but I liked the research around a topic and then working on it until there's a final article. I realized it was very rewarding.
The issue is I wasn’t consistent. I had a job, and I was only covering a small part of my niche. Then in beginning of 2024 my contract ended which gave me more time to focus on my blog. I published here and there but I also remember thinking, should I really continue ? Then time passed, still no job so this summer, I made a decision: I was going all in. I expanded my content, covering news, trends, and events. My goal was to become of the main source of information in my niche. By August I started writing daily and mainly news.
I also made another big change: I switched from Wix to WordPress. Wix was great as a beginner. But over time, I realized it wasn’t professional enough for what I wanted to build. I knew I needed something more polished if I wanted to be taken seriously and be seen as a true source in my niche. So I switched to a WordPress template and it made a huge difference. People are subscribing to my newsletter much more and I received a lot of compliments about it. Having a website that looks professional matters. If you want to grow and be perceived as an authority, your site should reflect that.
One of the biggest reasons I decided to expand my content was because I saw an opportunity. When I looked at my niche, I realized there were only about five french websites in my industry targeting a B2B audience. There was content out there, but very little that actually provided insights and deep analysis for professionals.I think this is something bloggers should think about. If you want to stand out and grow, select your niche carefully. Topics like finance, health, or cooking are great, but they’re also highly saturated. In my case, I found a space where there’s demand, but not enough specialized content.
At first, it was rough. My first article was in October 2023, and until December, I barely got 10 or 20 clicks per month. But now I have 2 000 monthly visits. I wish I had more traffic sometimes but when you’re mainly covering news it's different. I focus on writing more evergreen content because they are bringing long-term traffic. Nevertheless sometimes a trendy news well referenced on Google can bring very high traffic, it happened twice. Overall for me today what matters most is being seen as a trusted source in my niche and not monthly views.
When I started, I had zero knowledge about blogging. I didn’t know if it was even worth it. I knew nothing about SEO, refreshing articles, or building traffic. But I learned so so much here so I genuinely want to thank you all.
Now things are moving forward. I was interviewed in a podcast, I was a moderator at an event, I had a partnership with an event in my sector, one of my competitor and leader in my niche has subscribed to my newsletter (I'm still wondering whether it's a good or bad thing haha).
That said I don’t see blogging as my main job yet. Making real money from blogging takes time, and I’m still looking for a job. It’s tough but while I search, I’m putting my energy into growing this blog (that I no longer call a blog but an online media, it sounds better).
As blogger we have to be patient. Unlike social media, blogging isn’t about instant results. It’s a long game. I’ve had articles sit there with no traffic, then suddenly out of nowhere, they start trending. You never know what can happen.
Blogging is tough, but when the results start coming in, it’s so so so worth it.
If you’re struggling, if you’re doubting yourself, don’t quit. Keep writing. Keep learning. Keep going. You never know where it’ll take you.
I would like to start a blog that focuses on personal development for men. Helping them learn, grow, and share my wisdom. Go over skills, hobbies, and habits that will help them improve. It would be mostly wood working themed. I would share practical knowledge and relate it to life lessons. Other topics I would occasionally talk about would be hiking, boxing/fitness, philosophy, finance, etc. I would classify and envision the brand as “holistic masculinity”, rugged yet modern and providing down to earth experience for every day life.
Would this blog be successful? Why or why not? Also should I be trying to niche down further? Cause I really don’t want to limit myself that much. Any other advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hey everyone! I’m about to start a blog focused on the latest in AI research, and as I plan this out, I’ve been wondering how to keep up with all the new developments and make sure my content stays relevant. It can sometimes feel like there’s so much going on, and I want to make sure I’m sharing the most accurate and current information.
I actually created a tool, and I’m planning to use it myself to help create blog posts. It’s a tool I’m building that curates the latest updates from trusted sources, so I don’t have to spend hours searching for relevant articles, studies, or news. It helps collect and organize information in real-time, making it easier to stay informed about topics I care about—like AI research. I’m curious, has anyone else used newsletters in a similar way to stay on top of things and create content for their blog?
Here’s what I find valuable in newsletters for my niche:
I’m excited to get started, but I want to make sure I’m providing the most valuable and accurate content. If anyone has experience using newsletters to gather content for their blog, especially on tech topics like AI, I’d love to hear how it’s worked for you!
So I want to start blogging. I understand it’s great to niche down and all. I agree, it makes the most sense.
But, hear me out, what if the niche combinations are weird for example in my case, I’m thinking of combining Cosmetic Science and formulation and Novel writing ish - writing creative fiction stories, novels etc.
It’s a weird combo.
So has anyone done something similar.
I’m just curious.
Hello everyone. I want to tell you about my journey so far with my blog. I started developing the structure and idea for the blog in September 2024. I'm passionate about finance and investing. I live in Brazil and have been working in media for almost a year. So, I have experience with websites and WordPress. However, at the company we work with other niches.
My plan:
1 - Create an identity for the blog. Format, images and content. 2 - Create a community and increase LTV. 3 - Generate value first and understand what products/services to offer in the future.
Initial income sources:
1 - Google ADS, the most obvious. I tried for a first approval and was rejected. The blog was too raw indeed. I went back to work. 2 - Affiliates, I started using my Amazon affiliate links in some articles. But, without being too intrusive. 3 - E-mails, I intend to capture and build a relationship with my audience via e-mail. Since this is an area where I also work at the company.
Scalability:
1 - Social media, I'm on: Medium, Substack, Primal and Reddit. I post micro content of value connecting the audience to the site. 2 - Sub domain, the idea is to have a sub domain in English and one in Spanish. With content focused on the target languages. 3 - Acquisition. When approved on Ads. I will generate campaigns to attract people to the site. But, I only recommend it if you have experience with it.
Challenges:
1 - The politics in Brazil, at this moment is very sensitive. The word dollar has censorship here. This delayed me because my site has the word in the domain. 2 - I had trouble finding the best content structure for each topic I write about. But, now it worked. 3 - Distribution. I create mega content and scale it to micro and medium content. I distribute it on 5 platforms in several different accounts. This is tiring. It's been 6 weeks doing it. I need to find balance. Since I create and schedule everything on Saturdays.
Numbers:
GSC - Impressions 888, Clicks 44, Average position 29.6, CTR 4.5%.
It hasn't been easy. Mainly because of the censorship. But, when I tried to put Weglot and added the English language. My reach improved and I gained more visits. Excited and happy for everything. Share and let's talk a little bit about it.
So i've had about 120 clicks on my amazon associates last month but 0 purchase. I use amazon.ca because im canadian but I noticed that 90% or my viewers are from USA. Should I use amazon.com USA links instead? Because for exemple if i say an item is a certain price maybe its a different price for them because it converts to US money, or maybe it doesnt even show up because the item is not delivered in their country, anyone ever experienced this?
What are your thoughts on this?
Thank you.
There is definitely AI tool behind it. Can anyone explain how are they doing it

So I am promoting my newly launched blog in LinkedIn. (Organically)
We are getting enough impressions yet no engagements.
How can I improve this?
I am following all guidelines , hooks, cta, infographics….
I’ve over 1000 impressions but 3-4 likes and comments:(
The blog is market pulse on business stories.
