A lot of people are asking about a designated discord and we have spent all Sunday creating one, but it does come with potential setbacks. Currently there are 2 mods here on Reddit & 1 on Discord. Opening up a brand new Discord Server will definitely have pros and cons. Below is a list of some of the pros & cons, but ultimately it is up to you all to decide on if it should be opened, or if it should be held off on until a few more mods can help out on the Discord side (deleting comments/content, banning nsfw, monitoring for anything we don't want there). I say "we" because this is a space for us so everyone's opinion matters. I will have this thread set as recurring so we can revisit in a month to see what everyone thinks. Everyone's opinion does matter & if an empty discord server dedicated to Black Girl Gamers is what you all want, then we can make it happen:

Pros

• Safe space to network and meet others
• Designated voice/cam areas to share streams, or chill while playing the game
• Designated work/job section just to bullshit & talk about anything
• Free promotion space for yourselves to promote anything you want that is SFW (Twitch, Youtube, Etsy, etc)
• Bot section to test/play with bots to pass the time when bored

Cons

• Not enough mods to monitor the chat 24/7
• Fresh discord so there are 0 users at this time
• Discord is still a work in progress, but the servers are up & running
• Discord is an open space where anyone can join (without having a detailed security process)
