Lost my Blackberry Curve in the snow winter of 2012 or 2013 and found it the following Spring.Tucked it into a box until now, and it's charging again. Took a licking but kept on ticking!
i'm thinking of getting a dumbphone for a long time and tbh the only thing keeping me away is whatsapp. my parents basically only use that for conversations and i'd like to be able to communicate with them while running errands etc. they don't do and never have done SMS so it's whatsapp or nothing. so how really doable is this work around of whatsapp web on a blackberry classic, with some newer web brownser apk?
i'm having trouble finding a bb keyone, which i understand is the best i could do
i'll still have a smartphone due to work needs (nowadays i have 2, one for work and one for personal purposes) so i'd just keep whatsapp logged into that and keep it away as i do with my work smartphone
Back in the day I used to play this fun hybrid 2D 3D sidescrolling spaceship shooter game. You would put your finger on the spaceship and shoot while dodging incoming lasers. There were boss battles at the end of each level.
I cannot for the life of me find evidence of its existence. Does anybody else remember this game?
Edit: No it isn’t Satellite Assault or AlphaWave, though similar artstyle.
Any idea of how to change fonts on Blackberry classic? BB OS 10 in general?
So, like many people it seems, my wifi has been playing funny buggers and I finally factory reset the phone. However, I now can't access the phone at all. I input the sim, no sim detected (as before) and selecting wifi means nothing is detected. The phone won't do anything without a network... Any help? Please!
Edit: If I reset my phone, I found a small window it would connect to wifi. I quickly connected and got past the initial setup. Now I'm back to trying to figure out how to use my phone again with no network. There's no sim card or network access. It *sometimes* connects, but there's no reliability to it, as with wifi. USB tethering doesn't work either.
Had my Key2 for a few days, absolutely loving it but I want to maximize battery life, it's lasting me nearly all day and I want to make it last the whole of the day. Any tips are massively appreciated 😊
Hey everyone, apologies for the delays, but I've been working hard to bring the app back to life, and I’m happy to say it’s finally here!

Important: Be sure to delete the old version of the app completely before installing this one.
Check out the video to see how smoothly it’s running now – no crashes!

I know that Torch 9800 has a 2FF SIM card slot. Can I use it for torch 9800 if I insert a gender that changes to 2FF to 4FF SIM card?
I have an att branded keyone that I have been able to enable volte on and it meets all the band requirements for att but for some reason when I put my sim in it I can’t make calls. I can use data and text but calls instantly drop. I have contacted att with little help about it and am wondering if anyone has had this issue before.
I don't really know what subreddit to ask - so if anybody has better recommendations than here, I'll ask around. I had a BlackBerry Torch 9180 for the longest time before having to upgrade (begrudgingly, I actually really loved that thing). I figured it was pretty indestructible but one morning I woke up, and it was dead. I even got a few new batteries for it, it is completely dead. It came out of the blue.
I had kitten photos of my senior cats and I'm so disappointed I lost them forever. I hooked my phone up to my laptop and it recognized it...but it wanted my password put into the phone to get into my files. Well, the phone doesn't turn on to put the password in. I've been stumped for years and I really want those cherished photos back. Does anybody know how I can bypass the security measures and get into my phone?
The SD card wasn't the place it was stored in, it was the internal memory. I know - reaaal smart.
Thank you so much in advance.
(If I figure it out, I can also comment kitten photos as thanks / cat tax.)
It says VoLTE is provisioned for me in that secret menu, but it still drops to G every time I do a call, it also says IMS is not registered, I contacted support about enabling VoLTE and they did something, as I lost signal for 2 minutes, but it still dropped to G. Any ideas? Thanks :)
Hello guys. My Father has Blackberry back in time and I remember how elegant it was. I want to use one now because I hate how smart phones really turned out. I am thinking of blackberry classic or passport.
Only thing is, I am abroad, and I need whatsapp to communicate with my fam. Does it still work? The posts I could find are pretty old.
edit: I prefer avoiding android
I have a confession to make. Several years ago I finally had to ditch my beloved BlackBerry. The beginning of the end was when my work stopped supporting BlackBerry OS. So as a last resort I tried the Priv but that marriage of hardware and software never quite worked out. It got bad enough I finally had to cut ties, and never looked back.
I was cleaning out some stuff around the house, and found my old Priv. It had been shut down but I never took the battery out. I plugged it in and the battery still had a 94% charge (the picture is from after the phone had been plugged in for a little while). Incredible. This phone had not been plugged in or even touched in at least 5 years.
With this discovery I felt a serious wave of unresolved residual guilt. It brought back some buried feelings of betrayal, like I had cheated on the love of my life. While the Priv was a flawed device, it was the last BlackBerry I ever used, and so it carries greater symbolic meaning, and represents the culmination of a decade plus love affair that ended ignominiously. Godspeed BlackBerry, godspeed.
Please share some games that are playable (optional) and fun for the Curve 9320 plz. As far as I know there's Doodle Jump, some Bejeweled games and Arkanoid

Hi all,
First post here on Reddit! I am wondering if the stock BB Hub is working for anybody on the Android BB devices like the Key 1, Key 2 and others for items such as with email?
My Hub with my hotmail/outlook email was working well past the September cut off date for email but in the last few weeks it has stopped working and no emails are coming through. I am not sure if it's the 2 factor authentication, if outlook finally went and turned everything off or what. I am still getting the notification that the accounts can not be authenticated. Anything in the settings that can be amended? I previously tried deleting and re-adding account but don't want to mess with it too much.
What is the best working email client that you are using now with Android 8.1? It's kind of a shame how little runway we have for basic things like email with what was modern hardware/software back in 2018/19/20. With BB10 we had well over 10 years for things like calls, texts, emails on what was considered a EOL platform pretty much at launch
Sorry about the newbie question! New to Reddit and wanting to get email back onto my beautiful Blackberry Key 2.
Thanks
Hey guys!
I’ve recently been doing some "app" development with Python on my old BlackBerry Passport, and it’s been a pretty cool experience. I know BlackBerry is long gone for most people, but here’s the thing: using Python I can bring new life to these old BB10 devices.
It’s like giving the Passport a second chance, and I’m loving it. I've learned to build a lot of cool apps here that are relatively basic but they do show what's possible.
Using Term49 and BerryMuch OS i’ve been using it to do things I never thought I could on an older phone—like sending push notifications, running background processes, and even creating small apps that actually work. It’s like bringing the device back to life with code.
Here is a quick video overview

There are some tutorials on my patreon, but much more to come
Hello, does anyone know why so many of the projects that repurpose blackberry keyboards (such as Fairberry and ZitaoTech) only use the Q10 keyboard? Why aren’t there any projects that use the Q5?
TIA
Hi guys, I'm struggling to find any working browser or YouTube app. There is an android apk with legacy device support but is it going to work on the Playbook? Any ideas? I really want to find any purpose for this lovely tablet.
