Back in 2021, a new documentary about the life and works of Meredith Monk was announced as Meredith Monk: Dancing Voice, Singing Body, with a grant by Steven Spielberg's Jewish Story Partners foundation.
Now the doc is nearing completion, as it was recently announced as Monk in Pieces with a projected release for 2025. The documentary includes interviews with Björk and David Byrne!

After I did some research, "All is full of love" and Cocoon released as singles a year/two after their respective albums. Why is that?
I found this album called Quiet Fireworks on last.fm and it’s can’t find much information on it. What is it? Does anyone here have a copy?
What does the morse code say at the very end of Wanderlust? I really wanna know what it says.
and I weave
the marvellous web
glow-in-the-dark threads
all neon-like
the larva surrounds me
so I can sleep
fœtus-style
I’m askin for help
the luminous beam
to feed me
while I sleep
I know Bjork is known for her versatility and genre-defying sound, but what sound or style would you like to hear from her on her next album? I enjoyed the industrial techno/gabber elements in Fossora, so I hope she further explores that industrial club sound on her next album with some catchier/more accessible melodies like her 90s stuff.
sorry for such a stupid question but it’s all I’ve been pondering all day
i say an orc shaman maybe
Do you also think it would be cool if Bjork made a deluxe version of her old albums including the B sides, unreleased and Japan bônus tracks? I would particularly love it 😭
Utopia and Vulnicura was the only albums I haven't listened to until yesterday and omg I regret not listening to both of them but Vulnicura is different. I'm obsessed with every single song on this album and can't stop listening to it since yesterday but I'm afraid of overplaying it so I need more albums like Vulnicura to protect it from becoming boring.
Björk is most known for her beautiful and electrifying voice, and for her to have made a full acapella album is not only creative, but original to björk herself.
For me it's Come To Me. Something about that track (plus the debut album cover) made me feel like I belonged. I mattered. And those such things. Might sound cliche but when life happens,, it is music where most of us turn to. So lowkey wanted to know your story as well (if you hv one)
Honestly, I love that song so much. It was one of my top songs last year on Spotify Wrapped. The live version is exceptionally great, the way she screams is just so emotional. Whenever I try to sing along to it my vocals never sound like hers🤣…oh well…..

I was discovering news songs of my mother Björk and found this song, "Scary"
This was my first time listening to it and, for some reason it sounds familiar, like i did hear it somewhere long ago.. like a movie or something
Y'all know if this song appears in somewhere?
So far I’ve listened to Medulla, Vulnicura, Vespertine, Homogenic, Biopihilia, and like two songs off of Post,
I’m gonna relisten so prob gonna change
I can remember listening to a Bjork song where the bass goes quiet, as if in an adjacent room and Bjork whisper sings the lyrics to the audience. Can anyone help me identify this? Thanks for the help.
Fuschia and chartreuse 🤷♂️

Probably this is how it would have been made if there were a medulla tour with only vocals, choral groups and beat boxers.
Björk will be DJing on Dec 31st on Apple Music as part of their New Year’s Eve livestream.
The DJ set will be available to stream in spatial audio on radio channels Apple Music 1 and Apple Music Club, alongside performances by other artists.
Hi ! Im aproducer and would love to rework some bjork tracks, are there any legit multitracks accessible online? If so can someone pls share?
During a live set at Printworks, London in 2017, DJ Avalon Emerson delivered something special for fans of Unravel. Emerson dramatically drops her tempo from around 135 bpm to 115 bpm using a conga loop from Cowboy Bepop, and slowly unravels a beautiful, live mix of the timeless Homogenic gem. The DJ's respect for the original shines through as she preserves its simple-yet-profound structure while also infusing it with a fresh pulse. At the climax of the second chorus, DJ A.E. hits us with a nifty tambo drop and starts to crank the tempo back into jungle territory, riding Mark Bell's beautiful outro all the way home. But this transcendent Björk dance floor moment is something special. I hope you enjoy.
The genius.com page for Vertebrae by Vertebrae has a long explanation of the song by Björk under the lyrics that’s a fascinating read especially if you love the song, and its source is apparently from the 05/04/2007 Volta XFM interview, but the one video I could find on YouTube didn’t have this section in it.
If anyone knows/has the full video, I’d really love to listen to it!!
