I made a video of my dove hunt this year and thought I would share it with y’all. Hope you enjoy!
Title says it. Eastern WA born and raised, but moved to Kansas a while back. Got very into upland hunting chasing bobwhite out here. Have a young GSP that points and holds well.
Relocating back to Spokane and curious on the upland scene within driving distance of the area? Specifically quail.
I know terrain can be rough and due to my young dog, I’d like to go nowhere near Quilomene etc. hoping more Palouse mild terrain.
Any advice or input on the quality of the chase out there?
Which one hunts birds better?

12g or something else? What brand/ model?
I am using a Winchester SX4 12g
I would love to buy an over under for snowshoe hare and grouse hunting.
Update: Wow!! So many model / brands I was not aware! I love it ! Thank you so much for sharing!!
Update 2: after looking into the different models I cannot decide between the CZ all terrain over under and the CZ side by side bobwhite!
I have been carrying an SLR while hunting this season, and I am thinking of getting a little more serious about getting good photos of dogs working. If there's anyone here doing this, would love to get your input on what works for you lens-wise, both focal length and aperture.
Hey everyone, I didn’t grow up hunting so it’s all new to me. I got my first grouse yesterday but the inital shot was not fatal. What is the best way to quickly, efficiently, and effectively finish the job? I obviously don’t want to cause it any extra unnecessary suffering.

How does the RGS rank as far as a conservation group? They seem to be very prevalent with chapters all over the eastern half of the USA, but nothing in the west. I’ve been playing with the idea of starting a chapter on this side of the country, just wanted to see what everyone’s experience has been.
I know there's tactic cam that's pretty expensive has anybody had good luck with the tacticams and how's the quality I really want one with the app I could do on my phone and one maybe with a remote to put on my neck when the birds are flying in it's hard to press record right away on someone else's gun them ducks come in quick sometimes and maybe that's not super hard to set up I'm not really super good with electronics appreciate you guys thanks
I thought I had a spot in a dove field this year and found out the field is full and I was low man. That being said... I have access to a large CRP tract that the landowner has offered to bushhog me a spot.. QUESTION= What should I expect? Has anyone ever had any luck hunting mowed CRP fields?
Thanks
Title says it all. I have an opportunity to buy a Super Black Eagle III and can’t decide if I go with a 26” or 28” barrel. I plan to use it for pretty much everything: TX duck hunting from blinds on a river/ponds, South Dakota pheasant, TX dove over sunflower fields, sporting clays, etc.
What do you prefer, why?
September 1 is a few short weeks away! Does anyone have anything lined up that they’re excited for? I’ll be taking four days in New Mexico to hunt grouse in the Santa Fe National Forest and dove down in the desert near Roswell with my Brittany.

I’m looking for a new over-under shotgun for quail as well as sporting clays. I’ve found a like-new franchi instinct L as well as a used 686 essential in decent shape. Both for around $1100. Thoughts?
I have 14 boxes of shells that I don't need anymore. I've tried to sell them on Craigslist and Offerup but my posts are flagged and removed. Can anyone suggest how I can sell them?
