One thing I'm kinda missing on this sub that I would love to see is set discussion threads. I would love to discuss all the Bionicle sets separately with others, one figure at a time, see how much others like it, what do they see as cons and pros, talk about the building techniques used in them, how they compare to the rest of their respective wave/year. But question is, would you guys be interested in these sort of posts? Let me know :] P.S. If I were to do this, I wouldn't do all sets in release order, because it would be kinda boring to do 6 consecutive days of vahkhi for example since there's not much of a difference between them.

Passed by the shop late Sunday night and was able to head back today to grab them! Complete bar the yellow instructions, electronics appear to still work too!

My siblings love playing with my old sets and I would like to get them some more pieces to play with. If anybody could tell me where I can find these i would appreciate it. Thanks.

People really liked them, and MNOG heavily promoted them and the many designs they could have. We even got renders for ones without official sets like Kotu. They also didn't fill the Small Sets role like the Turaga and Bohrok Va, so they didn't have the same "limited to six" restriction. Outside of Mickey D's, our only options were Hafu in the CD pack and Nuparu with the Boxor (the only one I own myself). Why didn't LEGO make more little sets for bonus packs or promotions and such? Or something like those big master builder parts buckets but loaded with McToran parts and masks (the latter alone providing a big selling point) so that you can make your own village? Or even little blind boxes that would contain a random McToran base, compatible set of feet, and a compatible mask? Little impulse buy sets like that seem like a no-brainer, and LEGO wouldn't even need any new molds! I was reading PurpleDave's old blog posts on MaskOfDestiny from all the way back in 2001/2002, and even he was surprised that more weren't released.

Also, side question, but why did they decide on the ugly McToran heads for the 2003 Matoran when they're depicted with normal Toa/Turaga heads in MNOGII?

So I was a follower of Biotubers since I was a really young kid. Like, 9 or 10. I didn’t really have a developed enough mind to follow the specific beef that was going on with any of the Biotubers at the time, but I distinctly remember how much of a bully EDICTARTS was to Shadowgear6335. Everyone seemed to make fun of him, but EDICT seemed to have the most vitriol and I distinctly remember how uncomfortable it made me feel. And he seemed to bully everybody, from Sonic fans to Bronies and anyone else he seemed as “lame”. What was this dude’s deal? Does anyone else remember him?

Part 5 of my tribute series for the Quarter Century Anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh, having made its debut at BrickFestival Coventry last weekend!

One of my fav Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters, and the subject of fascination of mine since I first watched GX. I first tried my hand at this character 6 years ago for the 2018 BioCup prelims. Wasn't too happy with my execution nor presentation, so this year I finally decided I'd give this another shot. I'd like to say I managed to improve upon my first attempt but I included it in the last 2 shots so you can compare them yourselves!

Watching MOL but only Kopaka (it's ok to crush on Bionicles bc they aren't real and they wouldn't care anyway) and Not only did they mislabel the O, they used C, as they wrote Usual Crab correct, and they forgot the space in Ussal Crab, (ussalcrab)
