    Mata Nui Online Games 1 & 2

I'd never played these as a kid and I've just completed them for the first time. I'm glad I didn't engage with these point-and-click adventure games when I was young, I probably would've hated them. I think I appreciate them having done them first, and only, as an adult.

I was really taken aback by MNOG 1, it was a good experience start to finish. I was impressed by the boldness of focusing on the matoran and villages since Bionicle at the time was very much an action figure toa-centric theme. The game added more depth to the world than expected. And it got me wishing that Lego had done some matoran village sets! Why no Onu-Koro mining crew? Ga-Koro fishing boat? Po-Koro sculptors with a random collectible Hafu original sculpture in each box? Such a missed opportunity!

One MNOG 1 gripe: Ko-Koro was awful. So underdeveloped. Back in the day Kopaka was my boy, these were my people, and they had the most dull village in the game. SAD.

MNOG 2 was certainly... something. Even more features, but daggonit I did not like where they took it. Felt a bit unfinished in places. I came across many past comments that the game is grindy, and they were not wrong. So much flax. The Kolhii matches were all awful even after tons of training, and all of my game-breaking glitches occurred at the Kolhii fields. Ugh. But I got to see more of Mata Nui, and enjoyed more characters and lore.

Shoutout to Mask of Destiny's BioMedia project for allowing me to play these two decades on. MNOG free downloads are here: https://biomediaproject.com/bmp/play/web-games/

What were your favorite aspects of the games?

Had "the dream" twice in the past few weeks

I had the titular "dream" twice lately for some reason and in both dreams the Bionicles were found in some random stores and turned out to be bootlegs/fakes?

    Looking to print Bonkles

I am big into Warhammer 40k and dnd. But I grew up with bionicle. So I want to try and combine my interest.

I'm new to 3d printing and don't know much about it as I got myself a flashforge. So as my first project I want to print myself out some bionicle minatures of Toa and Matorin and a couple of their shadowy foes like the Rahi. Either as static minatures or print parts at 3 inch scale to have tiny toa around my desk space.

I just need to know if there is any good places to source models and parts to print. Been surfing Cults3D but I don't think I'm looking correctly as the parts seem limited. And since I'm a newbe to printing I want to try free stl files first before actually paying for anything.

So if any peeps print and love this brand like I do let me know so I can get started on my printing journey.

    How to identify fake pieces?

I’ve started collecting again, and I want to see if there any resources on how to identify fake pieces. I know to look for the LEGO logo and part number, but are there other indicators? For example, I purchased a lot with the Stars Sets, and they have the logo and part number, but something feels off about the plastic when compared to the 2001/2002 sets. Did LEGO change the plastic type between those years, or could they be fakes. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Ideas for Clone Sets?

Most of the sets of villains in bionicle all shared the same shape but with different colours, and even past 2006 they all had a central theme. The bug-like Bohrok, the lizard-like Rahkshi, the spider-like Visorak.

What other designs/motifs could work to make a recolour-able line of 6 villain canisters?
