G1 was based on Māori and Polynesian culture, G2 was based on Maya/ Aztec culture. But if there an new storyline, a new generation what should it be based off of? Japanese, Celtic, Greek, Slavic, African, Jewish, Indian, Native American? What you think would be best
When you where buying new editions of Bionicle, did you have your favorite color and usually pick that one or were you choosing which ever you find the most cool of that new edition? As my first Bionicle was Onua, I always prefered black...
When Bionicles were released, I was a poor kid and mostly interested in "real/bricky" LEGO, to be honest. But I was intrigued by the collectible aspect of the Bionicle masks, as well as Toa Onua - for his hunched posture and power stance. So eventually I bought him with my limited pocket money. I managed to also get Toa Tahu, Tao Pohatu and Turaga Whenua, mostly to combine the 3 Toas into the big one.
For more than a decade, the 3 Toas have slumbered in their cans, until I sidetracked into this sub from the LEGO sub. One post with a beautiful collection of Kanohi masks made me get my Bionicles out and check my old collection, as well as ignite a little spark deep within me. Just days later, I checked eBay for Bionicle offers, and found a very appealing one containing the last 3 Toas (one sadly without the can) as well as Bohrok Tahnok and 2 more Turaga Whenua.
I think I won't continue into generation 2, as I don't like the aesthetic, but will try to get the last 5 Turagas and maybe more Bohrok.
What's a good website I can go on in getting the nostalgia itch real bad and want a bohrok collection.
I kind of fucking hate it. He looks comically bald. I’m sorry, sweet Nuhvok!
Late night build, I forgot what it was supposed to be
Just to be clear, I know what happens at the end of the story with Mata Nui’s spirit going back into the mask when the prototype robot body is destroyed. Mata Nui then tells the people to go forward with their lives and find the Great Beings without him.
I’m wondering, is there any official statement as to what happened to the Mask of Life after this? Is the Order of Mata Nui holding it? Do the Toa Nuva have it somewhere? Is Tahu holding onto it?
And if there is no official source on this, what fan theories do you guys have or know about?
i’ve been searching for ebay listings to find an inbox toa mata but all of them have been expensive as all hell!
i might just wait for my 3d printer to come and print some out myself
edit; i’m buying send hand now! thanks everybody!
so unless I am forgetting some lore about the phantoka and mistika I just realized something
theyre still the toa nuva so that means that they still have all six nuva masks
so in universe the toa can have their color variants of the adaptive armor versions of their masks they could have even brought back mask packs for a bit
would have loved to see a black adaptive hau
