Built an app for my dad that works in the biofuels & renewable sector and I am looking for feedback.

Hello my dad has been working in the Biofuels & Renewables energy for many years and always struggled to have top news in the sector as well as market data like prices of ethanol gasoline, diesel and MTBE.

I created an app that aggregates news (Forbes Energy, Financial Times oIL & Gas, Biodiesel Magazine, Clean Technica, Argus Media, Ethanol Producer Magazine and many others) and pricing data as well as other useful resources he needed to do his job and have an edge. He is loving it and is using it on a daily basis for his work. Would anyone care to give it a try it completely free as I am just looking for feedback.

Check it out -> www.biofuelsdaily.com

Thank you!

What are the top 3 types of biofuels?

Can anybody guide about these types?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

biofuels are the solution

see... what i think is that the solution of all our problems related to nature, global warming and things like that is bio-fuels.

as electricity isn't the solution because electricity gets produced from fossil fuels, and even if u produce electricity with sunlight you will face problems with o2 as all the forest surface (or surface that has plants already) need to be cleared for solar panels and that will eradicate o2 for humans.

and u shouldn't think of powering humans with electricity, it may possible but shouldn't be done, according to me the problem is electricity as it may reduce many elements cycles like carbon cycle, etc.

and if u think that computers are the things that can't be replaced with chemical energy, then u are wrong just by reading this fact u will know the power of chemically powered computers (brains) that the most intelligent and can't be beaten by any electrical computer and if u think that data storage would be problem then u should know that 1gram of DNA can store 215 million gigabyte.

and we shouldn't waste money and time on innovating electric computers, we should invest them in replicating animal brains or building organic brains. it isn't that we haven't done anything, but we have lowered in the pace of researching.

we should always remember that technology doesn't mean physics and chemistry, it also means biology. bio-fuel is the solution as they are carbon neutral and would bring forests back and wildlife back and we will also get fuel, its just like hitting two targets with one arrow.

and all problems will be solved like soil erosion, floods, droughts, etc.

REMEMBER PLANTS ARE THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION TO EVERY POSSIBLE THING

The miR156: A Master Regulator to Harmonize Complex Biofuel Traits in Lignocellulosic Biomass Crops

Currently, energy security and environmental degradation are the two biggest challenges before humanity that can be surmounted with the use of green and sustainable biofuels produced from lignocellulosic crops. In the future, to ensure adequate and cost-effective supply of biofuels, it requires a sufficient amount of amenable and quality lignocellulosic feedstocks. Therefore, agricultural yields of lignocellulosic biomass crops should be substantially increased by intense genetic maneuvering of key gene regulatory mechanisms and signaling pathways that control plant biomass yield. Recently, numerous miRNAs families are identified, characterized, and validated across the plant kingdom. Plant microRNAs (miRNAs) are 21 to 24 nucleotides long, non-coding small RNAs, act as regulators of their target genes via inducing modifications in transcription, translation, and epigenome. MiRNAs represent many hallmark characteristics like sequence-specific regulation, tissue, and species-specific expression, evolutionary conservation, and functional diversity. They coordinate well physiological and life cycle processes in plants under adverse environmental conditions. Hence, miRNAs offer accurate, precise, and efficient regulatory switches in the miRNA-targeted genetic networks. It is evident from the study of the miR156 family and its target SQUAMOSA PROMOTER BINDING PROTEIN-LIKE (SPL) genes network that controls highly significant agronomic traits in crop plants. The miR156/SPL module acts as a master circuit that synchronizes many intricate complex biological functions such as growth and development, and metabolic processes by sensing internal and external environmental signals in plants. Therefore, miR156 can prove a potential target for miRNAs based plant biotechnology to harmonize complex biofuel traits and improve biomass yield in lignocellulosic biomass crops.

HELP!! Submit questions you have about renewable energy/bioeconomy

Hi all!:)

So I intend on making a podcast that takes questions from the population as a whole about renewable energy (specifically the bioeconomy) and having industry professionals answer them in order to educate the public. Therefore I need you help! What are some questions that you may have about renewable energy/ the bioeconomy or questions that you think the general population should be asking about the bioeconomy that you want answered?

If you need a little bit of clarification on what exactly the bioeconomy is, here is a definition from wikipedia:

"Biobased economy, bioeconomy or biotechonomy refers to economic activity involving the use of biotechnology in the production of goods, services, or energy from biological material as the primary resource base"

Thank you so much and I will post the link to the podcast if I get enough questions!

Prices of biofuels for thesis

Hi,

I am investigating different biofuels for ferries in my master thesis.

In my evaluation model, I would really need the prices of HVO, RME and Bio-MeOH. Feedstock for HVO doesn't matter too much.

If I can't find price information I guess I would have to make estimations based on production costs which have been explored somewhat in academia.

I am having great difficulty finding any pricing information, and the fuel producers don't seem like they provide that information willingly. Can someone point me in the right direction where to look, would be very appreciated!
