Does anyone know any places that can mind a dog overnight? (He also requires medication twice a day with food).
I'm looking for a holiday there with my dog but if I come into any difficulties like having to fly home in an emergency for family, it would be nice to be able to leave him somewhere for a few days.
Any information is welcome. Cualquier información es bienvenida.
Gracias
BILBAO. In 1912, a group of entrepreneurs from Bilbao created La Cervecera del Norte, a plant located in Basurto that had machinery capable of bottling 250,000 bottles a day.
This company turned ORO into a widely consumed beer in Bilbao, but in 1993, La Cervecera del Norte closed and two years later the factory was demolished, thus disappearing the last Bilbao brewery.
In 2017 the Damm group recovered the brand and since then you can enjoy that beer again. It is an unfiltered, toasted, fresh beer, with a bitter and citrus touch. Its carbonation is light and smooth and has a 6% alcohol content.

Dear international students of Bilbao, we are a group of students from the Netherlands and this week we are visiting your beautiful city to research international students’ experiences. We could really use your help because we are finding no luck at any of the organisations for international/ERASMUS students. If you are an international student here and would like to tell us about your experience moving/studying/living here please contact me! As a reward for your help we have a little Dutch treat. Again anybody who is willing to be interviewed is of ENORMOUS help.
When I was a kid traveling through Euskadi, I remember my grandparents taking me on sleeper trains from Bilbao once to Madrid, and once to Barcelona.
I loved it.
Do these train overnight sleepers still exist?

Hello everyone,
I'm a Dutch student who is on exchange week here for a research project and I am looking for a fellow student who wants to be interviewed for a maximum of about 30-45 minutes. The topic is about Basque identity and immigration towards Bilbao. You get a small gift as a thank you from me (€5 and some Dutch cookies:) Tomorrow (Wednesday) or any other day than Thursday (Thursday morning is ok) is possible for me.
I hope I can find someone, I would be really grateful for your time! :))
Hi, I am going to rent an apartment in the center of Bilbao. 5 minutes from the indautxu station. It is a very good area and has 2 rooms. A total of approximately 80 square meters. If you know people who need to rent an apartment from June, please contact me so that I can give you more information. Thank you very much to everyone!
I’m planning my honeymoon in Basque Country with 3 days in Bilbao before biking the coast to San Sebastián. I want to see as much as possible but also stay somewhere beautiful with access to a couple restaurants and places to walk to in morning or evening. What’s a good jumping off point, and is it possible to see Santander, Vitoria and Bilbao in that amount of time? We will have a car.
Hola!👋
I’m looking for a place that will/can stream today’s game at 7pm between Sporting Lisbon and Portimonense at Bilbao’s city center.
Thank you 😊
I want to travel to Bilbao on a Tuesday the 30th of July but want to arrive at like half past 12 at night. Will there still be public transport available?
Buenas! ¡Eskerrik asko!
Hi, Visiting for this weekend, looking for recommendations.
Thanks!
Hello everyone! We are a family of four visiting Bilbao this week! We have a little girl of 7 and a grandfather on this trip with us. Aside from Guggenheim, what are some must see places in Bilbao?
We are into food, nice architecture, music and arts in general. I am also looking for opportunities to take some nice photos since I am a photographer.
Thank you in advance - very excited to visit this beautiful city!
Hey all, I will be visiting Bilbao for a week with my partner. I wanted to know what places are cool to hang out (bars restaurant) or see (parks, city scape) and where I could find a good birthday cake? Also, we are quite vegetarians (with exceptions when we travel) but veggie recommendations are most welcome! Thanks!
Our family of four is considering moving to Bilbao in a couple of years when our oldest will start school. The kids will be 4 and 6 by then, and we are looking for a non-religious school with English and Spanish language (of course, Euskera too). Besides the American and British school, are there any other private or "concertado" schools that are good?
I stole the idea from Barcelona's subreddit, which was also stolen from other subreddits. Anyway, what are your thoughts?
We are two photographers (focusing on portraits and urban environments) visiting the basque country next week, and we are looking for a photographer to show us some hidden gems and authentic places in Bilbao on April 29th (3-4 hours). Any recommendations?
I was in Bilbao for two days and was impressed by the number of Athletic Club banners and signs all over town. The residential building across from my hotel probably had red and white banners in one on three windows. Now I’ve been in San Sebastián almost 24 hours and have done a lot of walking and have seen maybe two Sociedad banners around town. I suspect I’ll see more near Reale, but I wasn’t staying near San Mamés when I saw Athletic banners everywhere. Sociedad is a well supported club, so why doesn’t that seem to show with more displays of support in town?
Gracias.
My family and I are going to spend 3 weeks in this region in Spain. There are four of us total (Mom/Dad 9/11 yo boys). We booked in San Sebastián already, using VRBO, but we were wondering if there is a European equivalent? We are looking at Expedia for hotels. These are the same companies I use here in the USA , is there a Euro equivalent or something better? Cheers! We are traveling July 10th-30th.
Does anyone know where I might be able to watch the Arsenal vs. Chelsea match Tuesday evening at 9? Just arrived in town at midnight and haven’t had a chance to explore yet. Thanks and COYG
Hello everybody!
This week end I'm coming to visit Bilbao and I was wondering what restaurants would you recommend.
I am interested in local cousine (I have nothing against modern interpretations but I still prefer somehting closer to the tradition), will be flying in and be sleeping in the city center so we need to move around on foot or by public transportation,
La Salve Bilbao is a brewing company founded in Bilbao in 1886 by José Schumann y Cordés. The name comes from the bend in the Bilbao River where its first factory was located, below where the well-known La Salve bridge is located today. The construction of said bridge involved the expropriation of part of the land and was one of the elements that led to the closure of the company in 1978.
On August 8, 2014, La Salve returned to the market with the aim of "relocating the Cervezas La Salve factory in Vizcaya, and more specifically in Bilbao itself." The brewery is located specifically in Bolueta and produces several styles of beer. After ten years it has become the benchmark beer in Bilbao.

Hola!
In the last week of june I will be visiting Bilbao for a weekend with my mom, we already have planned the afternoons but since I am learning Spanish I thought it would be fun to meet some local or spanish speaking people in the evenings while I'm there. It will be my first time visiting Spain so I had set a goal to use all my knowledge of the launguage, and also to learn more and practise my speaking and listening.
I am not really a party person, more of a type who likes to sit at local coffeeshops, terraces, etc. I wanted to ask for recommendations to what i could visit the best in the evenings, when my mom wants to sit in the hotel to chill out, i don't mind walking or do stuff alone in or around the city.
Any tips are helpful!
Hi there. I’ve been researching a lot lately on how to potentially move to Bilbao. I’m from the US, but a Latin American of origin, and I was wondering if there’s anyone else in a similar situation. I’d still young and willing to learn new careers or fields that can help me get situated there with the least amount of troubles. I wanted to know if y’all had any advice for me. I’m fluent in both languages (Spanish and English) so I’ve been thinking of maybe getting a certification if it might help me land a job.
So what jobs or careers are best to get hired on Bilbao? Specially work visas
