GSP Replacement for Gaming Headset Question

I purchased a Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 headset towards the end of August and purchased the 2-yr GSP along with it.

I've noticed that the right ear cup isn't as loud as the left ear cup. I thought this may just be the "surround sound" aspect of the headset depending on where I was positioned and tested it out in games, but regardless, the right is outputting less than the left. Not sure if this is just a driver inconsistency or what.

I've dealt with GSP before on an Xbox One elite controller where the grips started coming apart and they replaced it no questions asked. My issue in this scenario is that this particular headset is no longer carried in store (has a limited edition pattern scheme and was during a 24-hr flash sale), but they DO have the regular black Nova 7s (on sale at $145) and the Nova 7Ps (on sale at $135) carried at my local store.

Any chance they'd just do a direct replacement for me on one of those headsets?

BB employee that solved an ATT cell problem

I had an ongoing problem with ATT regarding a cell phone I bought through BB--ATT was no help at all and after two months a BB floor salesperson solved the problem --even got me a credit on my ATT account! I would like to reach out to someone high up the food chain to commend this incredibly helpful person....ideas?

Best Buy Protection Plan with Price Match Reimbursement Confusion

I bought an item in 2021 and it stopped working but since I purchased a 4 yr protection plan it’s still covered and qualifies for replacement. However since I did a price match I was told my reimbursement would be for the price match price. According to Best Buy Geek Squad there faqs state as follows:

“ Is there any coverage limit to the protection available under Geek Squad Protection?

Yes, we will either repair, replace or reimburse you in an amount up to the regular retail price of your product at the time of purchase. For products purchased on or after October 7, 2019, they are covered up to the regular retail price found on the receipt at time of purchase, regardless of discounts.”

Now would you consider a price match to be a “discount” or not?

1-888-BESTBUY down?

BB sent me an email last night saying something was wrong with the payment method of my order and to update the payment method. When I click the link in the email it doesn't allow me to do that. So I tried online chat and went to the store and they both asked me to try the customer service number...except I can't get through.i dial , to thru the menu and when I go to speak to a live agent, I get a message the 'office is closed' and to call back within regular office hours of 8am -9pm CT Mon thru Sun. Anyone else experiencing this?

Store pick up stuck on preparing?

I ordered the item in store on Monday Nov 25th and it showed will be rdy in an hour. It was never rdy and it changed to "pick up on Friday". I never got the email on that day. After 10pm friday it changed to preparing and hasnt changed since then. Is this a glitch? I contacted chat support and they told me yesterday it would be rdy by the end of the day and nothing has changed. Im starting to think the item was lost or something. Should i got to the store? Wait? Cancel it?

Mobile self-checkout was the GOAT this weekend

Went to Best Buy yesterday to check out in-store deals and buy a few small misc things. Nothing big on sale that I wanted, so I grabbed the few small things I came in for, then realized the line was 40-50 heads deep! Got in line, but figured I'd give self-checkout a try. Holy crap that was easy. Took less than a minute to open the app, scan, and checkout. I left the line, headed to the door with the receipt barcode in-hand, flashed it at the AP desk (got a thumbs-up in return, nothing more), and I was on my way. Literally could not have been quicker or easier. Why don't more people use this?! I get it for some products, but for smaller off-the-shelf stuff, I'll never go through the line again.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. (had to tell someone; wife couldn't care less...)

TL;DR - Used self-checkout to avoid lines; was easy & awesome.

Advice/tips for hosting in the morning

Might be a question for a health subreddit but here goes..

I was hired as a host by my GM on the spot, and I did do some hosting, but the problem is the shifts are in the morning and pretty long (6 hours). They let me use a chair at the AP desk but sometimes it's really hard to get though a shift just sitting there doing nothing expect talking to people. I just feel tired like I could go to sleep and it's so annoying because I get good sleep, it's just that my body is never satisfied with how much sleep I get, it's so dumb. My body is more used to the evening/closing shifts, and they did move me temporarily to warehouse but the hours are so bad I decided to move back to hosting.

What do you guys recommend I do? I'm probably going to be moved to warehouse permanently after the seasonal hiring period ends, but I'd like to get some tips on hosting in the morning. Coffee? Energy drinks? Can I just listen to podcasts as I'm greeting people? Any tips would be helpful.

Hello, I’m just curious about a product that’s dropping on the app on the 2nd(tomorrow). My question is will it be available tonight when midnight hits or does it become available at a certain time tomorrow? Open Box In-store purchase vs pickup (tip)

Sorry about the vague title. I didn't know how to keep it short and to the point lol.

TLDR: If you're a BB app/web user and shopping for an open box in store, if you have the opportunity, go check it out in person... You may get it cheaper.

Anyways, I'm all about convenience these days so when I shop with BB I typically use the app. I also buy a lot of open box items. I was looking at the Ally X and 1 BB location had the Ally for 607 fair condition. Another BB location had an excellent condition for 660.

Usually I'd order it for pickup, but this time around I decided to go to the BB with the excellent condition Ally. When I checked out at the register it rang up for 613, just a few bucks more than the fair condition Ally. It seems that BB app just has a 'set price' while each individual product will vary depending on quality. (Also, just to add... BB rep told me he gave me the best looking on)

Does anyone know of a great iPhone 16 Pro offer? I know Verizon, ATT etc are offering free phone for trading in iPhone 13 Pro as example. But their monthly plan costs a lot for single line. Currently I pay $35 on a T-mobile family plan and looking to upgrade from iPhone 13 Pro to iPhone 16 Pro.

Macbook air delivery?

So was looking at a macbook air 13" for a great price on best buy but the only bummer is that I cannot pick it up in store. Its only available for delivery and I dont know how reliable or even how much faith I should place in an almost $1100 dollar laptop being delivered to my home. I have little fear of it being stolen as I will literally clear the day its due to be delivered just to hawk its tracking and make sure the door is opened as soon as the package reaches my door but just curious if it will make it that far.

Avoid BestBuy

Been trying to get the Galaxy Z Fold 5 since it is on sale for like half price, placed the order a week ago and they have been giving me bs reasons as to why its not shipped yet, telling me my billing address is mismatched and they need to double check within 24h, its been way more than 24h. Called my bank and pasted the exact same billing address I put on BestBuy and the bank said it is 100% accurate and should have 0 issue with it, if you cant ship it on time just say so, not give me bs reasons and make empty promises you cant keep, called them about 6 times now and all of them are as useless as they sound, cant give you more information than what you cant see, and claims the "department that does billing/payments" are not reachable on phone or live chat, dont even know what their CS is used for

Online order in store, never received confirmation?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and knew what to do. Went into my local store yesterday to make a purchase and the item was out of stock. Employee asked if I'd like them to do an order online and have it shipped to my home and I said sure.

All of my info was correct on the pin pad when I confirmed it but I never received an email receipt or confirmation. I had the receipt that was printed in the store so I called customer support and a very nice person looked up the order but the support PIN and said he emailed me the tracking info. Never received it.

I double checked that they weren't blocked or going to my spam folder for some reason.

It's a Christmas present and I just need to know the tracking info so I can make sure I'm home and can hide the gift when it comes in.

Any ideas?

stupid question about pick-up/In-store

if it says ready to pick up in a store does that mean it's available in-store if I walked in and looked for it? I just tried to get something but for some reason, they are not accepting my card so I'm thinking of buying it cash since it's already saying pick up tomorrow. I'm just curious and really don't wanna waste a 30 minute drive for nothing.

I bought a laptop for $899+tax in January… I have 1 year warranty I want to return it and buy a macbook for the same price

What should i do? Coz on the website it says no return after 30 days!

Ps: the trade in value of the laptop is just $28!!!!!

Trade-In Question

I ordered a new laptop and was originally going to mail my old one in as a trade in. I mostly did this because I 1) want to make sure I actually like the new computer before getting rid of my old one and 2) so I could make sure everything is moved over before wiping my drive, I don't have a big enough external drive to transfer everything to in the meantime. Am I able to take it into the store after I wipe it to trade it in in-person? I'm just a little worried about it getting damaged in transit.

Also, my current computer just uses a standard USB-C cable for charging. Do they seriously want a cable sent back?? It was like a $70 difference which feels bonkers.

Refund question. Why does it show less (basically the price without sales tax).

Not sure why but when I go to refund anything lately it shows the refund price without the sales tax. Is this an odd policy or will they refund the sales tax anyway?

E Gift Cards currently taking forever to arrive

I know its Black Friday sales and what not but good grief I ordered a gift card almost 7 hours ago and I’ve had yet to receive it. I usually get them about 20-30 minutes max but this is something else.

Got a hold of support and I guess it’s the high amount of orders in which is the reason. I should’ve figured but it still sucks 😭 I’ll think twice when ordering a gift card on Black Friday again.

Best Buy Plus Cancellation Refund Terms

Thinking of getting a Best Buy Plus membership. I noticed there's a 60 day cancellation refund policy. If I decide to purchase stuff elsewhere and cancel it within 60 days so do they do reduce the refund if I used it for some of the free streaming service trial offers? I would guess not as free is free not a discount on a purchase of a TV or something.

Geeksquad protection plan on laptop

Hello all! We got my sister a laptop for when she starts college, and we added the four year geeksquad protection plan. Now I’m anxiously thinking if that was the correct move. Is the four year worth it or should we have gotten the two year plan instead? We added the four year since that’s how long she’ll be in college for.

Pick up item not available at the store 🤦‍♂️

I originally got put on verification hold but that seemed to be an excuse. Called customer service they explained it wasn’t available in store and now it seems like I have to wait till at most December 7th because the store manager ordered it. Why the hell would it advertise as pick up same day when they don’t even have it! I also ordered with a gift card so now idk if I can refund and that refund probably wouldn’t be instantaneous to buy elsewhere

Returned headphones but forgot the charging cable. Should I bother returning it?

I returned a pair of headphones but forgot the charging cable that was attached to my power strip. Should I make the trip to the store (in the snow) for this or will they just deduct it from the refund? Or even worse, will they deny the return?

My price match is stuck since 3 months and I am exhausted

I don’t really know what to do here. I bought a macbook in late august in cash. I found that BestBuy reduced the price further so asked for a price match via live chat. They agreed, but the agent didn’t confirm the address and issued the mail check to the store where I bought it. I asked them if they can send it to my address and they said there is nothing they could do. I visited the BestBuy store where they sent the check. The store representative told me it usually takes a month to receive the check, he noted my number and said he will give me a call.

Weeks pass by and it is October now. I do not hear anything. I try to call the store, they say they will schedule a callback but nothing happens. I call customer service multiple times and they say they will reissue the check to correct address, I am finally relieved and keep waiting. I just got back from the agent on live chat. The check was issued on 10/10 but it is 11/30 now and I did not receive anything. They submitted the request to reissue the check, and now the wait starts again.

To say it has not been exhausting would be an understatement. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I think I should just have gone to the store and received the price match on spot to avoid this but there’s nothing I could do now. I have talked to the agents countless times, all telling me they can only submit a ticket. God knows how long it will take. I am just thinking I should give up but it is a couple hundred bucks and I would love to have it.
