Thinking about getting into exploring this. Previously had road bikes but curious to see any recommendations on e-mountain bikes. Looking for budget friendly recommendations for brands.
Aware of fb marketplace and other local groups to purchase.
Hi! I'm headed on a ski trip in two weeks and need to get my skis and my husband's snowboard tuned up. I need my edges sharpened and base waxed. With Moosejaw no longer around, is there anywhere in town to get this done? It's easier to get it done here before traveling.
Looking for star gazing spots in NWA. I have heard that Hobbs is a good place but unsure which trails are open or which one is best for views.
Any suggestions please share.
Hi everyone!!!!
I have a authentic British style Fish & Chips Food Truck in LR. My wife and I have been looking at moving to NWA and of course the food truck as well. We went to Fayetteville this last summer to look at options at Food truck courts to park it. But then someone told me about I should move to Bentonville as the food truck would do a lot better there due to Walmart headquarters having a food truck court on premises that should be opening next year. So my question is what's it like there for food trucks? And do you think having a British style fish and chips would do good there. What's your opinion? Would you eat fish and chips?
Thank you in advance and we're already talking about coming up to Bentonville this next year to start looking around. If you're curious, the name of my food truck is The Trident Fish & Chips.

Was on my back porch about 20 minutes ago letting my dogs out and saw something strange. One light like a plane followed by another light and I swear 5 or 6 projectiles from the back light were shot toward the light in front. Was like 30/40 seconds. And they just disappeared. No sound. Happened over East Springdale/South East Rogers. Any idea what the heck that was?
Brother needs me to get him kodak ektar 100 film and i have no idea where to buy it. Please help thanks
Is there any shop in the area that sells the electronic stuff that Radio Shack used to offer? I’m specifically looking for a WLED control unit and individually addressable LED lights.
TLDR: I need to download 300 Gb of files for my remote work job while I'm visiting.
I am in the middle of helping my parents move to Bella Vista so the house doesn't have internet yet. Where could I go that has wifi speeds upwards of 300 mbps. I know this is a tall ask but I'm willing to drive around and pay for it. I just need these video files downloaded so I can edit some video and send it back over to my boss.
Why do we have a syren right now?
Here's a rundown of what's going on this weekend from NWA Daily

Hey Bentonville!
My family and I just got to the area and will be closing on our new home this Monday. We’re really excited to be here!
I’m also in need of a mechanic recommendation. After driving here from New York, my car started showing an electrical issue, and I’m not familiar with any shops around. If anyone has a trusted mechanic or shop they’d recommend, I’d really appreciate it!
Looking forward to being part of the community!
If anyone plays the bagpipe id love for you to serenade the Bentonville Dive for me as a farewell to my beloved. Id love to buy you a drink and dinner or throw you some cash.
This is mainly a joke but PM me if you fit this dsscription and love a good laugh
Hi! I am looking to donate our gently used Ikea king bed frame and was wondering if anyone has experience with local donation/charities? There is one broken piece (from moving), but if someone is good with a power drill and cutting a 2x4 it would be fixed (interior piece no one would see). Also, happy to donate for free to anyone here!
Thanks!
I (36m) recently moved here for work. I know no one. What's a good place to meet friends snd acquaintances? I'm not a bar guy, but I am an outdoors guy. I'll go for a hike on a whim, I'll take my dogs for a walk. Just need some human interaction that isn't walmart.
It’s shit. Any contrary opinion and a thread is shut down. I hate Bentonville and all it stands for but Jesus (isn’t real) can’t discourse continue?
If you want to name people as examples, that’s fine, but I’m really asking about professions, those involved in XYZ, leaders of whatever type of organization, etc.
And then what do you respect about them?
Does anyone know of restaurants that are pre-ordering for Christmas. We have a lot of family and children and I would like to make the food part of it as stress free for me and my wife as possible. Breakfast would be preferred.
So, this morning I woke up to my keychain AirTag chirping. Just 10 mins ago it started chirping again. If someone happens to know anyone freaked out about an AirTag being attached to their car or something… it’s probably just them driving next to me for long enough that it gave them a notice.
How to stop this from happening… I have no clue, I’ve only had the keychain for 3 days.
I know we're fortunate enough to have organizations, parks, and coalitions that preserve natural beauty, such as; Buffalo River Watershed, Peel Compton Foundation, Osage Park, and Hobbs State Park. We even have local businesses and new landscaping projects placing native plants as an alternative to flat, sprinkler-induced lawns.
But... I want to know if there are any other serious volunteer groups that promote conservation and sustainability?
The fact of the matter is we have no choice but to develop alongside nature. With the recent Blue Crane Bella Vista land acquisitions, I shutter at the idea of a generic coffee shop barreling down a boastful oak tree, or a patch of pollinator's grass.
So, I'd like to gauge interest (or be informed) of any groups that share these prospects. We tout how we're the natural state, but we view nature as a right rather than a privilege. We ask what nature can do for us, not what we can do for nature.
Luckily, things like solar and electric vehicles are seen as status symbols for the richer side of citizens, but for the natives, it would be nice to be able to make environmental contributions as well.
Anyways! All that to be said, I would love to inform the public (both new and old alike) what we can do for nature in the area. Please sound off if there are any volunteer opportunities in the area, or perhaps even the possibility of developing something new!
EDIT:
I forgot to mention... give this article a read: https://bittersoutherner.com/feature/2024/the-wonderful-river-of-oz-arkansas-buffalo-river
And check out the Buffalo River Watershed website, they even provide contact information for local representatives and senators: https://buffaloriveralliance.org/
Does anyone know a cat groomer that can handle a feisty cat?
Hello fellow dirt jumpers. I moved to Bentonville last year and love the mountain biking here, but the one thing I'm missing are solid dirt jumps. Ive heard rumors of a sweet set around handcut hollow but haven't been able to confirm the rumors. Anyone have details?
Lately, USPS has been claiming that my package is "delivered" to my mailbox when it really isn't. Thank fully, previously, they found my package two days later, but today I had 3 packages marked as "delivered" by USPS, but none of them were in my locker in my apartment. Just finished filing a claim for all three, but just wanted to know if anyone else has been experiencing problems with their packages lately? Pretty sure the holidays are impacting this problem.
I also spoke with the USPS driver and he looked in his truck for the packages and nothing. He showed me the little device he had that showed that my address was not even an option for packages being delivered and he checked all the mailboxes for me too :/ Maybe a system problem?
UPDATE (12/17/2024):
I got my 3 packages today! Yay!
So I received a call this morning saying they got my claims and they would make sure to look for my packages, and the person on the phone seemed quick to want to get off the phone, but I was persistent in asking about the reason why this is happening, because it happened last week too. He ended up saying that most likely my package is in someone else's mailbox. So that is when I described the person who actually mailed out all of our mail, which was a deaf, hispanic man. The moment I mentioned that, the person on the phone stated that unfortunately he has gathered a reputation for delivering mail incorrectly, and they were able to log that he was on an entirely wrong route from where he was supposed to be, therefore delivering mail to the wrong locations. As much as I'd like for the mailman to not get in trouble, thank God my packages were found, but this can very easily lead to other's mail being completely lost/stolen by others :/
I’m genuinely curious what people think since they’re based here. Obviously on one hand they’re the world’s largest company with locations worldwide. But on the other they employ thousands of people and is the biggest driving force of the local economy
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for anyone living in the Ashton Heights Apartment who may be suffering from Cox's ridiculous Internet plan and is looking for a new service:
Please fill out the form on RightFiber https://www.rightfiber.com/ by going through the normal "check availability" process. Once we have enough responses, they’ll set up their services, which are much better than Cox’s plans.
If you know anyone from Ashton Heights, please feel free to share this with them. Thanks!
Noticed Deja Vu is missing from Osage Park today.
Anyone know what happened to it? Did it finally break loose and roll into the lake?
