My mom and I will pass through this part of West Virginia as part of a four-week road trip to see all of the Appalachian National Parks. We plan to visit Beckley to see the exhibition mine before heading to New River. We will be in town for dinner on a Wednesday and are looking for any local recommendations or specialty foods. We are open to any food and always interested in local spots.

Looking for people to fly with and places to fly. The only active AMA club I know of is 1.5hrs away in St. Albans, would like to find something closer, or even start an RC/FPV/AMA club up this way.

I’m part of a University of Cambridge research project, and we’re studying how the internet is regulated—who decides what you see online and how much control you should have. Right now, we dont have any participants from West Virginia. We really want to hear from all of the States. It’s really important to get some local voices included in this global study!

Vehicles lineup along Neville, Heber, and Main Streets and registration between 2:00 and 3:30 pm, $15 show vehicle fee to Shade Tree. Music: New River Jazz Band, 3:30-4:30 pm at Word Park Gazebo; Bragg n Mann duo, 3:00-4:00 pm near the Cardinals sculpture; and John Covey - JC Square from 4:30-5:30 near the Cardinals.
