Just tried out the new hardcore event, and had an enemy hokum absolutely wreck our team using cannons and having a gunner. Claimed he wasn’t hacking but the guy was beaming other aircraft out the sky including jets. Think he was around 70 kills before I just dipped out the match. Y’all ever experience someone actually utilizing a dual 30mm Hokum loadout.
Game would be good but team play is showed aside.
Every video or anything good you see is lonewolf gameplay.
Most of nopats are made to benefit lone wolf players, here I mean their "perks".
Even vehicle us so weak it us easy to kill by one player. Instead of being fear on battlefield, it's just a target for lond player. There us no need for squad to work together to destroy him.
Helicopter? Well there's TV guided RPG to counter it. No need to work as team to kill it.
Team play is not rewarding enough, and solo way too rewarding.
Without team play there is no community. No community means no longevity.
Another thing.
DICE is afraid to make anything enjoyable. Tank rounds have splash damage 0. Everything that should in real life feel powerful is weak in this game. Anything that is hard to do, is not rewarding. But solo play and stupid things are.
BF2042 is just a bad game. Vehicles are OP, guns are imbalanced, AT dmg is a joke, character movement speed is too arcade, hit registration is bugged as hell for all types of dmg, everything is bad about this game, there is not a single thing that was improved from BF1.
In game stats show my vehicles destroyed at 4,887, yet BF Stat Tracker only reports 844. Anyone know why the discrepancy? Most of the other stats in Stat Tracker are reasonably close to the in game stats. No big deal either way but I am just wondering what could account for the discrepancy.
Hi all, quick note I am not an editor so I tried my best for you to see what I’m talking about.
To sum it up, the AK-24 has a big issue. If you’re like me who enjoys underbarrel attachments such as the HE, Incendiary etc, well the masterkey shotgun attachment has an issue. If you have the masterkey when you spawn, you will spawn with full ammunition, but spawn with any other barrel and switch to the masterkey, you will have one round and one magazine. It’s horrendous and I’ve gotten killed more times than I can count more so because the AK is my main weapon. Seriously, try it yourself, it’s very annoying and I’m calling to get attention on this. I did submit the glitch but I want others to be aware.
Not that I want you guys to actually watch this guy's videos, but this stuff is hilarious.
Maybe if DICE hadn't been listening to dorks like this for the last 10 years, battlefield wouldn't be in such a sad state these days.
It's a good thing he wasn't around for 1942, Vietnam, or Battlefield 2. He would probably consider them too hardcore since they lack all of the sliding, 3d spotting, killcams, etc. All the stuff that has dumbed battlefield down for the last 14 years or so.

Just look at that Battlefield 2 clip and tell me that isn't more immersive than constantly looking for red circles to shoot at like in the games that came after it.
Having no idea if the guy you were just chasing is laying down behind a fence or if he went through a doorway and went up the stairs is a good thing. But you never get to experience that kind of shit anymore because everyone is constantly spotted and you can track them in real time with the Doritos, minimap, etc.
Hardcore wouldn't even be necessary if the game didn't stray so far from what made it good in the old days.
This guy is whining about this latest iteration of hardcore, and it isn't even actual hardcore. It's got friendly fire on, no hit markers, no killcam, and you die slightly faster when you're shot. That's it. It can't even be considered hardcore if there's 3d spotting.
Loveing the new old map This new skin for crawford is 🔥 took down 🚁and 🚜🫡🫡
Hi! I'm pretty new to 2042 and gaming in general... I've seen this game get hate on this sub and I just don't get it. I mean I suck, comparatively. West coast US, and my k/d is like fuckin 1.2 🤣 which I'm proud of honestly bc it's above 1. But I go and play cod6 and it's stimmy and fast, but there's literally no room to feel the fizz, as James May would say (btw I'm 25). Getting creative, playing the objective, and squad dynamics don't need mics, the order system is rlly effective. I'm like level 93 and just hitting T3 or T2 on like GVT-45-70 or whatever it's called, and the Rorschach (I know I know snipers suck but holy shit this event hardcore mode is so much fun with a silenced GVT I know I'm ruining it for all of u but like come on, I feel like a god of death lol). On battle of the bulge I was holed up by a tank carcass near A and took like 3 attackers in a row, one shot each, then there was a lat4 recon, rpg for a vehicle kill, back to the GVT, reload and take a few more AI souls, THEN ANOTHER RECON THAT I ALSO RPGd it was FUCKIN AWESOME hahahahaha. Anyways, only been playing like starting this yr when I got a series X, played 1 and V first but not many matches and I love the tech and complexity and customization/unlock progression ramps
Old School player with the emphasis on old :( but for the first time ever with this game ive felt like im actually playing Battlefield.
This event on Battle of the Bulge is superb and just proves the gunplay is solid but the maps and theme of the game is plain bad and the main reason the game failed imho.
While i feel battle of the Bulge hits the nail on the head its not perfect, waaaay too many snipers and some parts of the map are just too open but overall what a great experience it is in this event.
On the negative side hardcore just doesnt work on these maps and imho just doesnt work in BF period! but thats a debate for another day.
While im having a blast with this map in standard conquest for the event it just makes the game as a whole feel so much more disappointing for what could have been.
I really think the haters are literally just that regardless of whatever content is in this game which is a shame and in fairness who can blame them but for now this map combo and setting is very enjoyable for this old BF veteran, i hope others are enjoying it too.
I’ve always been a decent battlefield player since bad company 2. Battlefield 5 was a little rough but I managed to get the hang out it, But I am AWFUL at 2042. I’m not sure if it’s a map design thing that’s just not clicking with me, or if the added player count is just too much, or the blistering fast TTK. But i definitely need some tips on how to better play THIS game.
Hi there!
I played bf 2042 back in 2021, when there was a free weekend. The performance back then was so terrible that I could only get around 30 fps with a 3070 and other specs higher than the recommended ones.
Now with the huge sale going on I'm considering picking the game up. Gameplay seems massively improved based on video's that I've seen (correct me if I'm wrong). But how has the performance improved?
Figured this was the best place to ask. If you have any other opinions about whether the game is worth picking up for 4,79 I'd like to hear that too! Heard there is no single player mode, while that is what I tend to like more in games.
EDIT: Thanks for the many replies, very helpful! My current specs are 12700k + 32 GB DDR4 @ 3600 MHz and the same 3070 (should have included this before, apologies). Upgraded quite soon after the free weekend, back then I had a 6700k and 16GB of ram.
I quit because i play evry day and have all skins and pass and i play harcore event this days and i always play with sniper and i know how much need skill to shot something from big distance and one guy kill all sniper team with one shot evry bullet head wtf i just quit i am so sry i like this game but i dont wante play with cheaters.
lol
Trying to get into a match now, though because it's Friday night there would be people playing it but so far most I've seen is 4 in a lobby! You need 16 to start!! I'm very keen to play it has anyone managed to find a game on last gen on Oceania servers??
I almost finished the battlepass as well(I didn't buy any levels)
Fairly new player here, I’ve only been playing this game for a few months now. I’ve recently unlocked the bolte and it’s one of the vehicles that I’ve been most excited to be able to use.
Most of the videos that I’ve seen that go in depth about the equipment of the bolte are from at least 1 year ago, if not more, so I’m hoping that someone could tell me what the current state of the anti-tank mines, cluster-mines, and missiles are (strengths, weaknesses, overall performance in the current version of the game). In addition to this, it would be awesome if I could get some tips on how to best utilize the bolte.
Thanks!
Over 700 hours, it was gloriousz
Hi All, I wanted to discuss this glitch for some time. Now I’m no editor, so apologies if you have to watch this more than once to get what I’m saying, but I wanted to show you guys that there is a glitch with the AK shotgun attachment, into my knowledge this only happens with the AK and not any other gun. I want you to try this yourself. Spawn in with the AK24 with either the Incendiary or HE launcher. Then switch to your masterkey, you will only have one round, and one magazine (once you reload the weapon).
Next, spawn in with the masterkey, you will have a full magazine. I honestly think that this is frustrating and this has gotten me killed more times than I can count. (AK is my favorite weapon) so I’m hoping that this gets some attention. Seriously try it for yourself, it gets super frustrating when you’re actually in a map, such as redacted.
