Not sure if anyone would know and I’ve already called range USA and FRC but I’m looking to try out some handguns at the range before buying. Anyone know if there’s any ranges around town that have Canik MC9L (it’s fairly new) or Canik Elite SC available to rent? The other places I’ve called only have the full size caniks (TP9 and rival lines)
Thanks for any advice.
Little Wars, one of our friendly local game shops in Baton Rouge, is having its 2nd annual fall fair, Saturday morning 10 AM. They're on Jefferson near Corporate
The one last year was dope. Performances, dancers, vendors, food, panels, etc.
Should be fun.
I’m a young bartender gaining experience near lsu, also serving in a restaurant. I think I am very capable of the formality given at upscale restaurants, like Ruth’s Chris, Ruffino’s, etc.
I am asking for advice on how to get into these types of places? If anyone works at such places, which places are hiring, differences between an every day restaurant vs. An upscale one?
I am mainly wanting to switch over for more consistent money. At my current job, we make most money on game days, but on regular days, I end up making the same wage I was making at the grocery store job I left for the restaurant.
I am also very professional and prideful in my work no matter what environment I am in, so I am just trying to continuously upgrade my environment, which is currently customer service. Thanks for the help!
My parents are in town (mid-70s) and will have my baby. Any cute, stroller friendly towns in the area that are good to walk around in/have lunch?
I am considering getting a ptec degree/certificate from brcc. To give everyone a background. I have an Associate Degree (General Studies) from brcc and a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from Southern University. I was considering law enforcement but i no longer want to pursue that. I want to know if it’s possible to just get the ptec certificate which is 12 credit hours from brcc and get a job as an operator or if I need to get the full associates degree. I really don’t feel like going back to school for 2 years to complete the full degree. Any advice? I am considering working in the plant but I have no idea how to get in or what steps I need to take to get in.
Where can I get a set today? Already checked Academy & all they had were the heavy winter coverall style. Looking for your average farmer costume or maybe just some lighter carharts.
The Han River ramyeon — enjoyed by many K-pop idols and stars, including aespa's Karina, as well as locals and tourists from around the world — will be exported to the United States.
Han River ramyeon refers to instant noodles sold at the Han River parks along the Seoul waterway that use a one-stop instant noodle cooker.
Bumil Industrial, the maker of the Hauscook instant noodle cooker, signed a $5 million export deal with the U.S.-based distribution company BeautyMaster on Tuesday to export its machines.
If anyone plays Pokemon Go and is interested in raiding for G-Max Gengar we have a group meeting at the LSU clock tower at 6pm.
Trying to make some chashu for ramen, but can't seem to find it. Whole foods had, but it was sliced. No luck at Walmart, Oak Point, Winn Dixie either...
Anyone know of any groups or individuals that would be open to hangout and craft or crochet? I’m in my younger twenties but am open to friends of any and all ages! I crochet and make jewelry. Would love to have a friend to spend time crafting with, you can have separate hobbies of course!
You are officially and literally the absolute worst traffic flow-fkup per capita in North America.

I dont know If this has been asked before but im new to BR from NOLA, and im around the Cedarcrest area, and wanted to know if this area floods a lot. Or if anyone can tell me where it floods a lot in Br. I have had my car totaled twice being caught in flash floods and want to kind of be more prepared.
Thanks.
Anyone able to pick up the Over The Air channel for watching Pelicans games? Apparently it's channel 9.3 WAFB but me nor anybody I know have been able to pick it up. We've all tried scanning for new channels multiple times and we have varying levels of antennas.
On Maximillian Street last night. About 6h later the black Kia across the street was broken into in an unsuccessful attempt to hit wire it.
Just a shoutout to the people that work there. They are so nice and go out of their way to help you.
^??
Hi everyone! It’s my first year trick or treating in Baton Rouge and I’m in need of neighborhood recommendations. Thanks in advance 🎃
Does anyone know if the El Rancho on Florida is closing or if it’s just undergoing remodel? We drove by last night and it looked to be closing, but I can’t find anything about it. I know it was in need of a remodel, though.
Any recommendations for someone who can do a nice pixie cut? Possibly someone who can come to my house as I have a four month year old.
Does anyone know anything about this place? I looked up the name and can’t find anything online. This is in the back right corner of Hammond Aire Plaza nearby Marshall’s. There’s also a sign out by Airline Hwy.
With a name like “Buffet of Louisiana,” I’m getting my hopes up.
I want to get into boxing and have no experience. What are some good BR boxing gyms you all have heard of?

I'm really into reading charts and love studying astrology. Are there any groups in BR that meet and study astrology together? Would love to explore. Thanks
I notice between Acadian exit and the 10/12 split , my Apple CarPlay will drop on my car stereo every time. I have Verizon as my carrier.
Hey! I have family coming down for a wedding next weekend. Where would y'all recommend?
There is a group of 14 of us and one has a severe shellfish allergy (ingingesting and contamination, but can be somewhat near it), so if anyone has experience in that area, it would be super helpful! I am also looking for a place that does reservations, since the group is large. Avoiding large chains :)
Thanks y'all so so so much! Any insight is helpful!
Hey parents, if trick or treating gets rained out tomorrow night, where are some other places we can bring the kids? Thanks in advance!
Do we have any charity groups or clubs so I can help out fellow vets? Doesn't necessarily need to be military related i guess, i just want to help people. I've been in a bad place mentally the passed few weeks and I think doing some good for others would help me feel better as well. I stay in central near hopper but would be willing to travel around 45min on a weekend or Friday. I don't have a lot of money but I can work.
Edit: I do refurbish old computers and the like and donate to those that i know need it but a group would be more productive and would help me make friends too. I don't have too many in LA. They're all in states up north or still overseas. (Or have drug problems and are bad influences on me and my SO.)
Edit2: Not necessarily starting an event, just looking for some. Will change if necessary.
Around 2:20 PM, while driving down Florida Blvd, I saw a man with a yellow shopping cart walking along the road near BRCC. He kept jumping into traffic, which initially made me think he was trying to cross. But after the first close call, he did it again, forcing cars to swerve to avoid him. He even threw the cart into the road before running after it. I couldn't tell if he was being reckless or trying to scam drivers. I stopped a bit further ahead with another driver who almost hit him to check if they were okay and to call the police. I’m not sure what happened afterward, but it was a stark reminder to be careful out there. It also prompted me to change the SD card in my dash cam—this kind of behavior can seriously endanger lives. I can't imagine being a driver hitting a person, who was doing this, right before the holidays.
Edited because I sounded like a loon at first.
