How much will these things stretch? I had the original Boulder Boots back in the day and I don't remember them being this narrow, but I do remember the leather on the sides being quite soft and molding to my foot. I can't go to a larger size cause I already sized up appropriately as with all Lems I've had in the past. I took the insoles out and they're still not comfortable out of the box. I hate searching for boots.
Quite like the look of the tadeevo beskid, site has no mention of widths though.
Anyone used tadeevos and can give a rough measurement for me? I know they will stretch a bit but ive got 10.7cm wide feet, so struggling to find the ideal shoe (Realfoot are a contender)
Hi guys!
I’ve just got my first ever barefoots delivered. As I have no previous experience with anything similar, I am puzzled by few things. Since it’s my first barefoot I went for one which is rather a transition shoe - Barebarics Wave.
First of all, is it normal that I can literally raise up my toes inside the shoe? I have there so much space haha
Also, I wore them only for few minutes so far, but the ?arch? at the bottom of my foot has a bit hurting/I felt it working if that makes sense. Is it normal when you get used to shoes like that?
Also, I appreciate all the advices regarding them!
Thank youuu
I usually wear none barefoot (narrow) slippers (more of a fluffy open toe flip flop). But feel they probably aren't great for my toes (curling up).
And socks feel too hot and restrictive.
I don't really want to go totally barefoot, as I have pets, and they'll trance all many of stuff over the floor, and don't want to carry this into bed.
So what do other people where around the house?
I'm looking for some cheap barefoot shoes, preferably for kids in size EU36 or EU37 and preferably no laces. Looking for some help?
Since most of my walking is on concrete, im thinking i need a nice foot-shaped shoe that still gives me some protection. But is this something i can just start wearing, or will i need to transition to avoid injury?
I’m looking for size 5T boots with some tread. I like the Little Love Bug boots but they don’t come in the weatherproof sole in size 5T. Thanks!
I love my Splay Freestyles, and the new 2.0 version, but from experience with the original they are not great at keeping out water in the temperate climate winter, whether because of the lace hole on the side near the bottom of the shoe or because water just soaks through them and your feet!
The Vivobarefoot Geo Court III Mens look okay, but just okay, and they also cost €175 for the pleasure (no Black Friday sale apparently).
What casual shoes that are waterproof would you recommend, or should I just be searching for leather shoes because they should mostly be waterproof?
I have been wearing Saguaro shoes for 3 years now. Everything was fine until (I guess) my feet got a bit wider and Saguaro started shifting towards better-looking and narrower models. At this point no Saguaro model is wide enough for me. I have also tried a pair from Hobbibear and a pair from Vivabarefoot but they are all not wide enough...
I am fucking desperate. I feel like I have choose between having pain in my feet or not wearing shoes at all. Does anyone know a brand that sticks to producing wide and flat shoes? For reference, my largest foot is nearly 10,5 cm wide and 27,5 cm long
Hi everyone. I'm a chef by trade and in my personal life I've made the switch to minimalist shoes with great results. Reversal of plantar fasciitis among other things. At work I wear Birkenstock clogs.
I'm looking for some recommendations for service shoes that are actually barefoot and wide. I can feel my toes in pain in the clogs. Xero shoes has a prio all day I believe but I've heard they aren't totally nonslip which would be a no go. Any help is appreciated.
I was hoping for a wiki here. Anyone who can point me to extra wide barefoot shoes? If they have a little more stability support than usual, that would be great too. TIA
ETA: feet measure
Length: 24 cm / 9.45 inches
Width: 9,5 cm / 3.74 inches
Was looking at Saguero, but that's size:
Lenght:
EU 37 | US M 5 | UK 4
Width:
EU 42 | US M 8.5-9 | UK 8
The Prototype by MinMax Gear (previously Brant Footwear)
I saw an ad for "Brant Footwear" (now rebranding to MinMax Gear, will get into that shortly) on Reddit a couple weeks back.
He's double-stitched the sole, added a notch where the sole bends so it doesn't delaminate, made the upper out of UHMWPE instead of polyester, made the interior out of automotive microsuede instead of... whatever they usually use (it doesn't last, especially if you take out the insole like me, I've had my big toe wear a hole all the way through my LEMS through the outsole like 10 years ago LOL).
The coolest thing is the fact that he made a replaceable lug system? You basically just snip off the old worn-down lugs and glue new ones on, and the new ones are bonded even stronger than the old ones apparently. I haven't given it a try yet, but he shipped a baggie of lugs and a set of clippers with the shoes, alongside instructions. Apparently the sole compound he's using works great with cyanoacrylate glue (basically Super Glue, but he recommends getting generic cyanoacrylate from the dollar store when you need it; the glue's shelf life is too short to ship it with the product).
But yeah, planned obsolescence sucks, and I love what he's doing. Even for standard footwear it's impressive, let alone minimalist or barefoot shoes, which can be notoriously feeble in my experience, especially for the prices they charge these days.
When I bought the shoes, I had no idea who Brant was, but for full disclosure I liked his shoes so much that I reached out to him and asked if I could help him with some design work, and so I've been helping him with that. However, this review and opinion is my own, and I bought the shoes on my own.
But yeah! I hope you find these as cool as I do, here's a link: https://brantfootwear.com/products/the-brant And just a reminder that he will be rebranding to "MinMax Gear" soon as a part of the design work I'm helping him with (minmaxgear.com already redirects here).
Any recomendations for barefoot winter shoes?

So I recently switched to barefoot and it's really amazing, but I do miss my old timberland shoes as shown in the picture. Anyone who knows a barefoot alternative to these shoes, preferably with a zipper or something like that
Hi all, I’m considering getting the lems Chelsea boot as a shoe to use while transitioning. I have been wearing the thickest sole of the earth runners in my neighborhood that’s all concrete and it hasn’t been enough (been getting back pain and sore feet). Would Chelsea boot be a better shoe for concrete/transitioning?
(boring explanations and stuff) I just wore out my Mesa trail II's. Hands down the best minimalist shoe I've ever had so I think I'm sticking with Xeros. The upper is busted and the lugs are gone but not the rubber bit below that (3.5mm left total) so no 5k mile warranty for me. Winter is upon us, and I'm looking for my next pair of Xero's (love this brand) for ripping the mud trails and streets! I've been looking at the scrambler low and the mesa trail WP. I would be using them for daily wear as well as hiking, sprinting, scrambles and everything in between.
IMPORTANT BIT: I'd like to ask your experience with how the scrambler and Mesa trail WP handle with mud and sand, longevity and durability (how many miles you reckon? Which will get more?), comfort, grip, and toughness against the ground (ground feel). And also if there is anything you hated about either of them.
Happy trails!
Edit: I'm considering the waterproof just because it has a gusseted tong (sand n shi) and I think the upper might last longer. I do need my shoes to drain and dry because I don't jump over puddles I go through them lol. So drainage is a factor and I don't actually care that much about it being waterproof because rain isn't my issue lol
I know Anya’s shop is doing 20 percent off. Who else is having sales that you know of?
Barefoot shoes ain’t cheap man😅
I got Groundies from Poshmark, and I thought they were a good deal, but when they arrived, they’re so STIFF. The sole is stiff, the upper is stiff. Are they fake? They’re also a little large (long). I ordered my normal size (EU40). Interested in hearing from people who ordered directly from the website how their shoes feel.
Folks I need help!
As you can see the wear on my soles, I am walking heavy heeled on the left foot.
How do I correct this?
I have tried waking more consciously where I put the ball of my foot or entire foot down, but while walking on concrete/tarmac I hear my shoes slap the ground, is that normal?
i need composite toe boots for my job and these running style boots mess up my whole posture. i can't be the only one that doesn't want to deal with this 😭 why haven't i found any.
Anyone have both and can comment on them?
I ordered my first barefoot shoes and they just arrived a couple of days ago. I got the Treks Airo. When i tried them on my big toe is pushing the very front of the shoe, so they are a bit small but it's not uncomfortable. Does this defeat the purpose of getting barefoot shoes?
