These are the shoes I wear every day ^ they’re docs and the toe box is alright but each shoe is quite heavy and the sole is quite thick
I want a style kinda like this with the buckles and traditional pattern stamped on the front, obv no chunky sole
That’s pretty much what I’m looking for, I’ve got one pair of vivo barefoot shoes as my walking shoes but I’m pretty new to all this and I haven’t been able to find shoes that are wearable just for everyday use like to wear to college and stuff
I’m in the UK if that narrows down shops I can buy from, thanks
Is it important or indifferent to you? Or something in between?
If you care about look, do you care about it always or in certain situations?
Are you looking for shoes to your own style or do you want to blend in your office job?
Do you buy shoes that fit to your foot shape or do you buy bit too narrow toe box to look more like most of the people?
Have you found shoes that look what you like?
If this has been discussed before please link that post / those posts to me.
One option for my new winter shoes is Shapen Urbaneer (I asked previously about Cozy but Urbaneer is higher volume and without zipper). So I would be very interested to hear is either of the outsoles less slippery. I'm also interested of their fllexibility.

Yes old is almost sold out but you can still find them in my country. But new model needs to be ordered Slovakia so it would be important to know if the sizing is same.
I have a pair of these worn the last 6 months. I’m A fulltime barefooter but these are for work etc, I’m pretty hygienic but these always stink!
I’m really excited about these because I’ve been wanting a slip on boot just like them for a while now. I’ll do an in depth review when they get more wear.
Looking for recs for a hiking boots for my 2 year old. I need something waterproof and prefer it to not be insulated/ winter style boot; he has sweaty feet and we live in an area it doesn't get cold much. I'm having a hard time finding something in a US toddler 6 or 7.
So I’m in need of some basic insoles because I like to swap them out midday, as I do with socks(not a hygiene thing just feel better when I’ve done it, like a midday foot spa) Has anyone had any luck finding BASIC (without additional support built in because yeah I love the barefoot comfort level) insoles that fit our beloved style of shoes?
Please remove if not allowed. I wanted to share a pic of my shops minimal shoe selection which I’ve been curating for a few years and has expanded to the point it’s driving our shoe sales on the daily. This trend is not going away anytime soon, which is the bees knees. Any inquiries on the location can be relayed on a dm if needed. I just wanted to show off our sick wall.
Posted this on the r/BarefootRunning subreddit but think this more of an appropriate place to post this. so I'll paste the post here.
Everywhere I go and every post I see regarding Xero's is full of nothing but bad comments on how there shoes are terrible and the quality sucks. Along with the shoe being narrow and peoples toes getting squished. Anyone have experience with this. If this turns out to be true that would be a bummer since I really like the look of the Nexus Knit shoes that they sell. I also see people saying the shoes fall apart really fast but that there sandals are pretty good. Would like to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!
Hi! I’m quite new to the barefoot shoes universe and I’m wondering if you guys had any recommandations for barefoot winter boots?
I live in Canada and I walk a lot so I would need pretty warm and waterproof boots
Thanks!!
Hi ,
Any recommendations for a formal looking I suppose dress shoe for events like funerals etc.
Has to be Vegan unfortunately.
The few hours a year I have to cram my feet into pointy dress shoes is like medieval torture now
My wife and I went out for another stroll in the desert! Short, probably 5-6 miles round trip but .. I am still loving hiking in my barefoot shoes. This trip was a little easier on the feet than the last trip I posted about because while there are still a host of rocks .. they are nice rounded ones and much of the trail was smoother.
However the sensation of feeling the ground and being able to wrap your foot around things you are climbing over makes me feel like a kid again. .. Im 61 wife is 68 :)
I am not sure if I should buy shoes from them right now or wait until the end of the month. I am afraid that the model I am interested in will go out of stock, because a lot of sizes already are.
I really like them in theory, but not sure if they will work for me...
Edit: just bought them, thank you for advise, everyone :)
I custom ordered these Jim Green AR8's on the barefoot last in brown full grain leather. I went up to a men's size 10 to get a touch more toe room and they fit and feel great, but my ankle is too skinny and the eyelets fall close together for me. I've also added Rose Anvil kilties. The white is just Otter Wax I was applying. They are fantastic boots and are very high quality. I guess these will be moving on and I've got to maybe try the African Trooper unless you know of a similarly built all leather boot for the woods.
I recently bought The Whitin Trail running shoe. It was a cheap way for me to try barefoot shoes without paying a fortune. 20 miles in which included a short 6 mile hike and I am more than sold.
While I am not unhappy with the Whitin shoes I am curious now what a more premium brand might bring to the table and have been searching this board and following up with web searches but I am not sure I am finding what I want so thought I would just look for help.
My price point would be $100 but could stretch to 150 if there is a compelling reason.
I dont want a thick stack height as the ground feel for me is one of the selling points
Should be light weight
Should have some sort of traction sole so that I can use it for hiking although it would primarily be an everyday wear shoe.
I am a solid 11D and am not looking for any kind of heavy arch support. Supposed to be barefoot.
Here is a biggy ... I am an older dude and not a star trail running athlete so nothing that looks like superman might wear it. The all mesh multi color might look and work great but not for me.
I love the Vivo Leather tracker but its out of my price range
the Xero Ridgeway looks interesting but from reviews it seems to remove the "ground" feel
Some of the Merrell's look great and are in my price range but .. some of you guys hate them for being to narrow at the toes.
So confused but ... maybe when these wear out I just get another pair. My only real complaint so far is the tongue is basically unpadded and the laces start to hurt after a while regardless of how loose I make them but ..
Any suggestions would be great and much appreciated!
Hi yall. Im officially taking the barefoot, shoe-shaped foot plunge, on the advice of an expert physical therapist. Im wondering if yall have advice on good transition shoes, potentially ones I can wear both casually and in a professional, business-casual setting. I saw from my other post brands like barebarians, Altras, etc. thanks for the encouragement! Time to get healthy.
I’m curious if anyone has found a shoe similar in comfort to the Xero HFS 2, but somewhat/more stylish.
Xero still makes this shoe but not this color. The others are hideous imo. These are my absolute favorite shoes and wear them everywhere. Perfect shoe for working out, traveling, walking etc.
I’ve tried other barefoot shoes like Vivo and flux, and I’m tired of paying a bunch of money for shoes you have to buy online, then pay $10 to return. Also, I feel like barefoot shoes always look way worse in person than in a picture lol
Looking for brands that cater to:
Skater/skateboard shoes Everyday use Work boots
TYIA!
Any recommendations for socks that don't constrict, ideally ankle socks for with trainers and not necessarily toe socks? Thanks!
The sole of my shoes is ztarting to come off in some places and I wonder if it is a good glue to use for that purpose.
Does anyone have any experience with barefoot shoes while working long hours in a restaurant kitchen? Something that’s nonslip, easy to clean, and comfortable? I try and wear barefoot shoes most of the time but I haven’t found a pair that I feel are able to withstand my work. Thank you in advance!
I wear mostly barefoot approved shoes (groundies, topo for exercise, lems and birchbury).
On longer walks my toes only in my right foot go a bit numb and also hurt and are tingly. Feels crampy. Any advice on this? My toes don’t feel pinched or anything and there’s plenty of room in the toe box.
I transitioned to barefoot shoes probably 6 months ago. It went great. No break-in issues, and calf pain that used to be normal for me after walking disappeared.
All of a sudden I’ve developed pretty bad heel pain, mainly in my right foot. I think I might be heel striking? Not sure why the sudden onset though. Any advice about how to fix it?
