Hi I just got accepted to Brooklyn bard high school. It is a new one that just opened in east New York. I am traveling from queens and takes 3 transportation so wanted to check if anyone from queens on this forum?
im an incoming grad student this fall and there are a number of professors i cant find on rate my professors—i know other schools have some kind of internal feedback system where you can see students' ratings for teachers, does bard have anything like that? or even a facebook group where this is discussed? when i was in undergrad we would exchange experiences over fb, but it seems like people aren't using fb much anymore.
Hi! I'm a student looking to apply to Bard this fall and hopefully study political science/International relations. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about their experiences with this program at Bard!
I've also heard of the dorm situation there being somewhat unfortunate, and am curious if this issue has been mostly resolved by now/if its just negativity bias.
Thanks!
I am thinking of getting an instant pot for my friend's daughter who will be attending Bard--can't quite tell if this sort of thing is allowed. Any guidance will be appreciated!
Joining bard this fall and for the housing since I am extremely introvert okay to request North Campus_Manor Annex ? (Also think this is the best option with small residents)
Plus, I am majoring in sociology any recommendation?
Last, for the meals if I am follow my own diet so can I request to cook my own meal - asked no reply from team ?
Just assigned to Cruger and just found out about mold. I'm seriously allergic! I just ordered a dehumidifier, but can anyone tell me if the housing department did anything about it? Advice
Hi! I’m a student transferring from a college in WNY and was wondering what the anthropology & classics programs were like as those are my target majors. I was wondering what the professors, classes, and opportunities are such as research. Just looking for general info. I was also considering Vassar!
If I don’t want to live on campus anymore, where do people move to off campus? Any recs?

Hi, I want to know if anybody was doing the dual degree program with Columbia to get a BS or MS in engineering. What was your experience with it? Thank you in advance.
Hi, I’m choosing between bard college and Binghamton university for sculpture or environmental science/biology, do you all have any insights on why bard might be a better or worse choice than a larger school like Binghamton?
Are economics degrees from Bard respected? Any notable econ professors at Bard? What is the experience of learning econ at Bard like? Does Bard have data on how much money these degrees make after college? I'm seriously interested in Bard College as a transfer option, so if anyone could answer these questions, please do.
Do you have to go through the moderation again?
Hello everyone!
I applied to Bard's MA in Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture. I feel like I should have heard from them by now, but I haven't heard anything. Does anyone know anything? Also, does anyone know the acceptance rate for this program? Any information would be super helpful!
Prospective student planning on doing a double major in philosophy and religious studies. Was wondering what the programs—more so philosophy—are like.
I’m a bit worried about class options as the course list was quite small compared to other colleges. Is this an issue?
Is it more analytic learning?
How competent are the professors?
Are you challenged?
How well do the programs prepare you for grad school/admissions?
Thanks!
Hello! I was wondering how the history program is at Bard? Also my ultimate goal is to go to graduate school, so how does that usually pan out for Bard alumnus who major in history?
I submitted my app yesterday and still haven't received portal link to upload financial aid form.
Deadline is tonight.
Adm. Office is unresponsive due to holidays
Any suggestion?
Comedian Natalie Cuomo, Bard College ‘15 and Bard High School ‘12 is headlining The Cutting Room in NYC tonight at 9pm. She majored in environmental and urban studies at Bard, so look- anything can happen. Come laugh with us tonight and enjoy the concert to follow!
I got accepted into Bard, and I like almost everything about it, but my main concern is the academics. I want classes where I actually learn and that are challenging but not impossible. I'm also planning on going to grad school, so I want a college that prepare me for that. I'm specifically focusing on majoring in English. Does anyone know anything about the department?
hello bardheads. I'm a studio art major at SUNY New Paltz and I want to transfer to Bard for Art History and Studio Art. Should i... any insight into the program would be much appreciated <3 thank u!

Hello, I'm a prospective student from BHSEC, asking about the quality of the Physics and Vomputer Science departments here, thank you.
Hello! I am an international student planning to study in the US with one of the main reasons being the possibility of not declaring a major in the first year, so being "undecided". One of the universities I am considering is Bard, it's the first one I'm trying to fill out the requirements for on the Common App, and there seems to be no possibility of choosing to not declare a field I'm interested in? Basically, do I have to choose a program I'm interested in when applying even though I want undecided and to not choose a program, and does Bard even offer undecided at all?
So, Bard sounds like a really cool school. I wanna go to grad school in math and don't have the best stats as an international needing aid, except for a perfect SAT. Is Bard good as preparation for grad school in math? The professors seem to be from really good institutions and the courses, while not available every year, are also decently expansive.
If there are any math majors here, what sort of grad schools did you and your peers get into?
Hi - Unique posting/inquiry.
I have a lovely home in the art neighborhood - Rondout District - of Kingston, NY (right down the way from Bard). I'm going to be gone for most of the fall through the late spring each year and am looking to find folks at Bard who would be interested in renting it for a very affordable price. For those who don't know, Rondout is an artist-centric area with many studios, exhibits, cafes, restaurants, etc and would be an ideal location for visiting professors, or a few students alike.
Curious whether folks at Bard would be interested. Can be flexible on cost and timing. Please let me know!
Do class of 2027 students at Bard have a whatsapp chat group?
Hello! Bard is one of my two top choices for schools with the BGIA program being a big push towards Bard. What were your experiences with it and would you recommend it?
