Hey everyone! Just wanted to share something special about my latest album on Bandcamp. I’ll be adding more tracks over time – aiming for around 100! Owning this album means you’ll get every new addition as it drops.
Today, I added two new pieces.
One I had been hesitant to release but ultimately decided to share:
νύχτα
And, another that explores my first steps into more soundscape-focused material:

Usually if I want to dig for new music I just go through the best selling of a genre on the main page under discover. But today when I went onto the site it was nowhere to be found on the main page and was instead moved to a separate URL. Is there a setting to get this back or am I now just forced to use the separate link? The new page honestly feels like a downgrade. There's less information given and if I scroll down I have to scroll all the way to the top to change genres vs the old layout it was much easier to just go through each page and have all of the information readily available.
I have 6 different projects/artist profiles, and when trying to connect them to my "fan" account, it says:
Email confirmation required
Please check your email for a confirmation link. After confirming, you’ll have to accept your invitation again.
The email that comes in states:
Greetings,
We noticed a potentially suspicious login attempt to your Bandcamp account. Please review the details and confirm that it was really you.
A button labelled "Yep, that was me, log in to Bandcamp" shows up, but upon clicking it, it doesn't do anything other than log in to the account without actually connecting anything.
I'm using the first option, from the artist profile's settings page to connect.
The "fan" account still shows:
If you’d like to connect your fan account to an artist or label account, log in with your artist or label account first, then follow the steps on the Connected Accounts page.
This is an EP I just released. Maybe you can find something you like on it. Thanks for listening.
I'm new to buying albums via BandCamp and want to know whether this is doable before I pull the trigger on some albums that have songs are meant to be listened all in one go without interruption (sometimes even whole albums).
If I decide to purchase an artist’s discography up until the current date, does that mean I only get access to the work till present & that any future releases would require a further purchase per new release?
I just noticed that Epic games was running a Halloween promotion where they were giving away free albums on Bandcamp:
List of free soundtracks
I was just thinking it would be great if Bandcamp provided the key & bpm of dance music tracks like Beatport do. I mix in key and when buying on Beatport I use crates.co to help find tracks released in recent months that are in the right key and bpm.
Providing the track bpm and key would allow for a crates.co equivalent to exist for Bandcamp which would be amazing and then I could give Bandcamp more of my custom.
Any one know if there are any plans for something like this, it would greatly enhance usuer experience and can't be that hard to implement?
Hey all, I’m currently encountering a problem with the app where when I’m playing music on the app, there’s a glitch that skips through all the tracks on my playlist and stops when it gets to the end of the playlist. Wondered if others have experienced this issue and if there’s a known fix. I’ve tried removing and reinstalling the app, using my browser, logging in and out. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I’m a label and have scratched my head on this one for years. Anyone had success here?
Hey all. Should I get those little cardboard boxes? Bubble mailers? I feel like I'll need to know what I'm mailing in before I can calculate shipping. The boxes are obv a little more expensive but they are cute lol. If i were to get some buttons, is there room in the boxes for those? But yeah also definitely fine with bubble mailers financially.=
ALSO does anyone have particular postal codes they use to calculate shipping to Canada and International? I'm wary of picking some random zip code to calculate postage, and then if I actually sell something (lol) it's way more expensive.
Surprised I haven't found a good guide to this particular thing online, like with a link to which packaging to use, etc.
Which photo, illustration or graphic are you using for your Bandcamp page? Have you noticed one getting more compliments/reactions from visitors to your profile? Would love to see em.
I currently have a fan account and two band accounts all under one email. I created these in the past with no problem whatsoever. However, I recently created an account for my new band under the same email and it is not connected to my account. It exists and is live, but when I sign in it’s not listed as a connected account. I feel like I’ve troubleshooted this to death and can still not access the new band account for stats and whatnot. I contacted Bandcamp but have yet to hear back. I’ve found other threads on here regarding the same problem but nothing has worked! Has anyone been successful in fixing this?
Hello, I'm wondering as a consumer when you decide to buy a track from bandcamp and you get to the drop down menu of now which is about 10 file type options what do you pick?
What's your preferred file format for your music listening?
I have recently started to experience that only a few tracks of albums play. I navigate to my collection, select an album and press play. The first track always starts playing and from what I’ve seen, the rest of the album is in the queue. After the first and one or two more tracks, it stops playing and the queue is empty.
I’ve been using the app for a few years now and this only started happening recently.
Anyone else have the same experience?
About a year ago, I started following a blog that introduces and reviews new music every other week. The author uses songs embedded from Bandcamp, (almost) never adds Spotify links and always encourages readers to support the artists on Bandcamp.
So I got a bandcamp account and bought my first record yesterday (funnily enough not something I heard from through the blog), and I realized this album had been sold maybe 10 times before. I then checked the whole discography of that artist and every album had fewer than 20 sales (as counted from the "supported by" section). I know that you can turn off being shown there, but even if every second person does that, which I doubt, that's still less than 40 sales on all album.
Out of interest, I counted supporters of some of the albums listed under bestselling or featured, and it was never higher than low hundreds. If we assume that the average sale makes the artist ~10$, that's revenue of around 1000 - 1500$ per album, maybe double that accounting for people that opt out of listing their contribution. How is this helping artists survive? Don't get me wrong, I am glad Bandcamp exists and l'll try to get a couple of albums each month from now on, but it doesn't seem to have the volume/traffic necessary to really make a dent for the smaller indie artists.
There was a post listing the all time bestselling albums on bandcamp and the numbers were between 5,000 and 30,000, which is more like what I'd expect if the artist wants to make a living. So am I missing something?
Just for perspective, Spotify pays around 1$/300 streams. To get 1500$, which is what I (maybe wrongly) assume would be already a good performance on Bandcamp, you'd need to accumulate ~500,000 streams. I have seen bands with these and higher numbers, but Bandcamp sales of below 200.
Anyway, interested in hearing what people thing and I might be wrong altogether with some of the assumptions. Cheers!
TL;DR bandcamp sales seem low across the board according to "supported by" numbers, how do artists make a living off of that.

I searched the FAQ but no luck.

This is a various artists compilation showcasing a bunch of electronic music from some different artists on Bandcamp, a number of whom you may have seen the work of on this subreddit in the past - this compilation was focused around a Halloween theme, and I think the way each artist interpreted this turned out pretty cool in the end. There's a big mix of styles, but a pretty consistent dark / trippy sort of vibe throughout... it definitely jives with my feelings about this time of year in a big way. Thanks to everyone who participated on this; I think one of the best things about sharing music online is being able to connect with different people doing similar things out there, across the globe.
I hope anyone who might be inclined to give this compilation a listen will be motivated to dig into the catalogues of the artists who submitted tracks towards it! There are some really talented producers who reached out and I think the end result turned out to be a lot of fun!
