Moments of fear last night in Trentola Ducenta. A woman, with her daughter, was walking with their dog on a leash in via Cielo Arnaldo advancing to the small square.
There, there was a blonde lady perhaps from Eastern Europe with a little girl of two or maybe three years old and with them there was a female Pitbull with a pink harness, but not on a leash.
The Pitbull, as soon as it sees the other woman with her dog and her daughter, rushes ferociously towards them and bites the poor dog in the neck. The woman, to prevent the Pitbull from killing her dog by slashing its jugular, is forced to put her hand between the Pitbull's jaws.
The woman violently hits the ground, injuring her knee. The Pitbull's owner finally intervenes to catch the dog, but the Pitbull is so ferocious that she can't hold it, so the daughter of the first woman on the ground intervenes to stop the Pitbull, but the latter injures her, making her hit the ground.
Due to the injury sustained, the daughter of the first woman is forced to take a tetanus shot.
The Pitbull's owner, in the meantime, takes the dog back and runs away as if nothing had happened, disappearing, not caring about the two injured women on the ground.
The two, unfortunately, were unable to take pictures of the woman.

"Leaving the house scares me and I don't want to cross the courtyard with my dog. Not only that: in the building we are all worried". And it couldn't be otherwise, given that the attack of the last few days led to a complaint for personal injury and damage and to the sending of all the documentation produced by the emergency veterinary service to Ats Brianza.
A woman, living in a side street of Via Mentana in Monza, was attacked by a pitbull and a German shepherd owned by some neighbors, who for some time have been creating tensions in the building due to over-the-top behavior (and not only related to the management of the two animals).
"I tried in every way to protect my little dog, a small twelve-year-old mongrel, with a heart condition". The pitbull and the German shepherd suddenly attacked him. The owner tried to protect him as much as possible: "I fell to the ground and the pitbull bit my arm. Luckily I was wearing a heavy jacket and I wasn't hurt: but there are bruises, and my dog suffered a lesion to his neck".
The woman's screams attracted the attention of the neighbors: some went down to the courtyard to help her, others took care of getting the ambulance and the police.
"As soon as I realized what was happening - one of them said - I rushed over and tried to separate the woman from the dogs: she had both of them on top of her. It wasn't easy. It was a big scare for everyone".
"I'm still in shock - she said the day after the attack - but I'm aware that it could have been much worse. I have a baby girl who is a few months old: what would have happened if the little one had been with me at that moment?».
That something like this could happen «we expected it: it is not the first time that those two dogs have caused problems. In the past - he continues - we also reported it to ENPA: they ended up in the hands of people who do not know how to take care of them properly. I say this because they never let them out, so much so that they were forced to do their business on the balcony, we saw it. For some time they were sent away, but then they came back. Now they are not kept on a leash, so much so that one of the two dogs last February escaped the control of one of the owners and ended up in the Lambro»: then the owner also jumped into the river to try to save him, with the result that it was necessary to request the intervention of the firefighters.
Everyone was safe in the end, and thankfully, but even that misadventure didn't serve as a lesson: now the woman's hope is that "the institutions will act as soon as possible, because other residents are also parents of small children and dog owners. Even the neighbors in the neighborhood are now afraid to meet them. Unfortunately, up until now it has been impossible to find solutions to live with these people in a civilized manner."

It happened in via Messina Marine, as the victim, Gaetano Galluzzo, tells PalermoToday, who launches an appeal to find the owner of the animal that has since been taken to the kennel. It has a microchip. The man suffered a wound to one hand with a prognosis of 10 days, while his Kira is in very serious conditions
He was walking with his dog, Kira, a mongrel, in via Messina Marine, when the animal was attacked by a pitbull with a collar and microchip, but without an owner, who seriously injured it, also biting its owner on the hand and side. The holiday started in the worst possible way for Gaetano Galluzzo, 42, who decided to tell PalermoToday about the attack, which occurred around 7.20 near the "Cantastorie" restaurant.
The police intervened on the scene, as well as an ambulance from 118, with which the man was taken to the emergency room of Buccheri La Ferla, where doctors gave him a 10-day prognosis. Kira is much worse, and at the time of writing this article is hospitalized in a veterinary clinic for a delicate operation.
The pitbull that attacked the man and his dog is equipped with a microchip and was taken to the municipal kennel. Now it's a matter of tracing and finding its owner, which could obviously have consequences in light of the failure to guard the animal. The pitbull, in fact, as Galluzzo reports, was alone this morning.

A fight between dogs in the park and a near tragedy. This is what happened in the late morning of Friday, November 1st in the park of Villa Scheibler, near Quarto Oggiaro. The two dogs, reportedly a husky and a pitbull, attacked each other. One of the two owners intervened to separate them. And perhaps lost his hand.
The fight occurred around 11. The one who got the worst of it was a 32-year-old man, the owner of the husky, who in an attempt to quell the fight between the two animals was seriously injured on his left hand. According to the Regional Emergency Agency, the man lost at least one finger. The 118 emergency services arrived on the scene with an ambulance and a medical car that took the 32-year-old in critical condition to the Multimedica in Sesto San Giovanni.
In the meantime, the owner of the pitbull disappeared, fleeing with the dog. As reported by the cast iron, who intervened on the spot together with the police officers, an investigation has been opened on the case. The goal, now, is to track down the owner of the dog responsible for what happened.

Hi, wanted to share this horrific experience on here. It was picked up by NBC right away and was on the news. Begging for some help with Cooper’s AMC medical bills. He had 3 major surgeries including an amputation. As you can see, the pit had his leg in his mouth. Cooper’s our life, our heart and soul.
I've seen a few posts floating around on various dog reddits and twitter showing an adult dog, usually one of the parents, going whale eyed or staring while sitting completely stiff at a puppy or kitten. To anyone who actually knows dogs, the behaviors they're showing are clear indications of stress or aggression, that they're about two seconds away from mauling that helpless animal (or in some cases, human infants) and yet the people in the videos - and the comments - are always laughing about how cute and funny it is, how hilarious their 'confusion' is and how they're going to be the best of friends.
Um, no. One of the most important things about having a pet is to recognize the signs they give you so you know when they need to be removed from a situation, or when something is wrong. These dogs are CLEARLY not 'confused' or 'enchanted', they are on the verge of attack and the people making the videos are happily oblivious to it. Pits showing their teeth or even growling are 'just smiling' or 'being goofy'.
So many excuses are made for them and their behaviors every single time, and so much of the time they act like it 'came out of nowhere' and like the baby or the other dog or cat or whatever was at fault *somehow* even when the dog was telegraphing clear signs that it wants to hurt them from the very start. They see them acting violent and aggressive and call it cute or funny, and live in echo chambers full of other people who reassure them that their sweet little Nala is so adorable while she's chewing on the remains of their neighbor's cat. It's honestly sickening and at this point should be considered a mental illness that disqualifies them from pet ownership.
NOTE: In Colombia, it is law that pit bulls must be muzzled in public.

She mentioned that it was a traumatic moment for her daughter, so she tried to mediate, but it was impossible, so they notified the authorities.
“She was with them there in the playground when the boy came down with the dog without a muzzle, he with his girlfriend and they had another dog and the puppy, well, you know that pinschers are a bit nervous, so the dog got away from the girl and barked at the dog and then he grabbed her and killed her right away, he grabbed her by the neck and killed her right away,” she denounced.
She said: “The girl was the one who had to defend the dog, take it away from the dog, practically open the dog's mouth to get it off of her, and they left and went to their apartment. The neighbours came out when they heard the girls scream and saw that the girl was crying. That's where they called us and [the owners] hid.”
She regretted that the actions against the pitbull's owners were not more forceful since the situation also put her daughter at risk. She said that the call is to prevent cases like hers from happening again, so she hopes for the corresponding measures because the risk is high for the children and dogs that live in the complex.
"But they didn't care about the pain my daughters were in, they didn't care at all, nothing matters, thank God the dog didn't attack the girl because the girl was desperate to take the dog away from her. So we said this time it was the dog up ahead, it could be a child, an adult, another dog," she warned.
The mother added that her daughter was so affected that she was scheduled for a psychological appointment to help her overcome the trauma of losing her pet.
Regarding the situation, we consulted Mayor Wilson Arias, head of the Quindío Environmental Police, who indicated that the corresponding fine was applied for the attack that caused the death of the animal.
“The patrol informed me the next day about the incident that happened the day before at approximately 10:45 and informed me and advised him what to do in the fines so that they can be sent to the Police Inspection, the National Code of Coexistence and Citizen Security in its article 124, numeral 7 will be applied or allow, whether by omission or not, that an animal attacks other people or animals or belongings,” he explained.
He indicated that the ticket could not be issued on the same day of the incident because the system did not allow it, so it was the next day that they managed to do so.
He stressed that when these types of neighborhood conflicts arise, the ideal thing is to immediately communicate with the quadrant because all police officers have the authority to carry out the respective intervention.
It is worth remembering that the brutal attack by the dog occurred last Wednesday night, October 30, when the child had gone to play at a friend's house.
The incident occurred in a house located on Pasaje Sarratea Street in the city of Trelew. There, the minor went to visit his neighbor to play.
He was transferred to the Zonal Hospital, where he remained hospitalized.
The boy is said to have suffered severe head trauma with a right parietal depression fracture, a left mastoid fracture, and multiple penetrating injuries to the skull, face, neck, and shoulder. He also suffered multiple trauma from a dog bite.
Police personnel from the Second Police Station intervened in the case, while Commissioner Diego Correa spoke to the press and gave details of what happened.
He said that at the time of the attack the animal was under the appropriate security measures. However, he stressed that they will analyze and study the animal to determine if its bite could have transmitted any disease to the minor.
Upon receiving the report, Municipal Police officers quickly went to the scene, finding the man with severe injuries and requesting the presence of paramedics to treat him. Red Cross personnel came to offer first aid, while the owner received treatment for his injuries. Given the danger of the attack, the Fire Department was also asked for support to capture the animal.
They interviewed the injured person, who identified himself as César RB, 52 years old.
While the man was being treated, the dog, which had fled the scene momentarily, unexpectedly returned and resumed the attack. This time, the canine directed its attacks towards its owner's neck, which made the imminent danger to his life evident. The Municipal Police officers, seeing the seriousness of the situation, made the decision to shoot the animal to save the man.
After being shot, the pitbull tried to take refuge under a patrol car, where it finally succumbed to its wounds. The Municipal Public Security Directorate ( DSPM ) reported that its officers were forced to shoot the dog due to the severity of the attacks and the risk to the life of the owner, who was taken to a hospital to receive specialized care.
This unfortunate incident highlights the risks that can arise with animals of certain breeds if adequate control measures are not in place, as well as the importance of the rapid response of emergency services to protect the lives of citizens in extreme situations.
There's already a post about the little boy who got k*lled and partially eaten by two pitbulls in 2000-Hamburg, Germany. But what I haven't seen yet is the focus on the fact that the animals had previously passed the temperament test and were declared "not human aggressive". Whenever pitbull owners want to tell you how stellar the % of these dogs passing the temperament test is, please remind them that this means 0 how dangerous a dog really is.
This is also not the first time I've seen dogs reported for severe bites, then the vet examines them and declares them "not dangerous". When I look at the posts on social media of people claiming to be vets and faking the documents to make a pitbull a labrador or something on paper, I'd even go so far as to say some of them deliberately let a dog pass the temperament test so they can avoid having it destroyed.
Here is a translation of the wiki quote: "In April 1998, Zeus attacked a German shepherd and his owner, injuring both. The woman then filed a complaint against Ibrahim K. He was ordered by the public order office to appear with Zeus at the official veterinarian. The vet examined the dog and found that the pit bull mix was not aggressive, although it was reactive towards other males. (This was the first time it passed the temperament test.)
In April 2000, Zeus injured a Labrador, whereupon its owner pressed charges. However, a mistake was made during the police recording, which is why it went unnoticed that the attack dog had already bitten. The authorities simply ordered the dog to be presented to the official vet again." (Where it passed the temperament test a second time.)
See? This is why you always have to report bites. In this case, the police made a mistake. But please take note that authorities will most likely be less strict with a dog that supposedly has only attacked once. This is also why many pitbull owners and shelters want to hide the bite history so badly.
Also: Again, Zeus passed the temperament test. The dog that ended up k*lling a little boy didn't just pass the aggression test once, it did it twice. Now, see what happened next:
"In the same month, Zeus injured a beagle and a German shepherd within two days. The beagle succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards. The owners of the injured animals filed a complaint. As a result, Zeus was ordered to be kept on a lead and muzzled, but the official mail did not reach the intended recipient. The second dog, Gipsy, also injured another dog in quick succession and bit an 11-year-old girl on the arm. Charges were filed again." (Gipsy also passed the temperament test according to the vet)
These dogs then went on to k*ll a little boy. Because the vet declared the animals "non-biting" and the owners were really sorry or something, they basically got away with a slap on the wrist. According to the judges, they acted out of a "lack of knowledge". It's insane. Their dogs k*lled and injured multiple animals and injured two people before. How could they possibily haven't known their dogs were dangerous?
I'm writing this because I saw an article that claimed pitbulls were as good-natured as Goldens according to the temperament test. And to remind everyone that you need to report bites. If you don't do it for yourself, do it for the other possible victim who might not be so lucky to have the chance to report it. A young man I know was bitten pretty badly by an off-leash GSD while he was out jogging. Because the owner said they were sorry, he never reported it. Now, if something happens again, the owner will get away with a slap on the wrist and the dog reported as a "first-timer" instead of being put on the "dangerous animal list".
This was posted by my local boroughs Facebook page today.
My town's trick or treat was 6-8 last night. Around 5:45, 911 was called because 4 pit bulls were mauling an elderly man. He is currently hospitalized with bites on his legs, arms, and face. There was a news clip posted to this sub about it earlier about him. He got attacked trying to save kids who just started trick or treating. With the help of neighbors, they finlly scared the dogs away. They ran off to find more victims. The man in he video and 3 other people were confirmed to be hospitalized (my cousin being one of them.. she's home now but in a lot of pain) from the attacks, but last night everyone (people who saw 1 or more attack and cops) were saying 5-7 had been hurt by them.
I was out with 3 kids and 2 other adults, and we were 3 or 4 books away from home when we first got stopped by police, and on our way back we were stopped a few more times by cops saying we needed to get home and get inside, that there were 4 pit bulls on the loose, 1 had already been shot by LE and the other 3 were still being searched for. By the time they located the dogs trick or treat was over. There was all kinds of emergency vehicles riding around with spot lights looking the the dogs for over an hour.
I live in a small town. These dogs terrified just about the entire town, kids were crying by the cops screaming that it wasn't safe to be outside. So many people were hurt, so many kids and families trying to trick or treat and have a good night instead got to see their neighbors/friends/family mauled by a group of blood thirsty dogs.
The owner was arrested last night and the community has come together to organize a "2nd chance" trick or treat at the local park, so all the kids who had to go back inside to hide from these beasts can have a chance to get some candy. I really hope this wakes uo the people in my area to the dangers of these dogs, but I'm sure it'll be blamed on "how they wErE rAiSeD".
I guess the puppies aren't making as much money as they had hoped.
They have dogs that haven't been adopted for two years listed on pet finder. Apparently no one wants to pay $300 for a Texas import pit bull up in Montana. Shocker.
A resident of Rua Alcides Veiga, in the Campo Lençol neighborhood of Rio Negrinho, and owner of a pit bull dog, who was recently the target of complaints from neighbors and other residents of the street who feared that the animal could be violent, contacted A Gazeta to give his version of the case and try to bring more peace of mind to those who live or pass through the area. He says that, as well as the animal not being violent, as advertised, he has also reinforced the fences and walls around his house so that it doesn't escape.
“Once he got out because my gate wasn't lifting the hook part properly, but that was a long time ago. The police were called and they put him back in and closed it again,” he explained. “But the dog didn't attack anyone, because he's not angry [vicious]. On another occasion, a small dog came into the yard with the gate closed and my small dog was in heat. That's probably why he killed the dog, but that's not my fault. Even the police said that, as he had entered, there was nothing to be done,” he argues.
“Now, this last time, I brought my father home from the hospital and forgot to close the gate. I was nervous because he'd fallen off his bike, had stitches in his head, and it was really the only time I left it open, but the dog didn't attack or bite anyone. I even went to the police station to clarify everything,” he said. In another episode, in which the gate was open and was photographed by a neighbor, the man says that it was opened in the morning because his wife was taking the car out to go to work.
Prejudice
He believes that the pit bull breed causes all this fear, both because of its history, since some are actually quite violent, and because, in 2022, in the same neighborhood, a man ended up being attacked, losing his arm due to an animal attack. “I understand them, but it's a bit of prejudice against the breed. Even so, a resident passed by and told my wife that the side wall was too low. So I put a wire fence up to about my height, making it impossible for him to jump over,” he explains.
“He's well-mannered, he's never jumped over the wall, and I only caught him because my house was robbed twice when I bought it. I had to put bars on the windows and an alarm, since the house below mine is abandoned and there are almost always people doing drugs there. When I got the dog, he was three or four months old and today he's my daughter's pet. I'm not an irresponsible owner; just yesterday I bought a padlock for the gate so that no one can open it. Now I'm not going to let him out of the gate so I don't have any problems,” he pledged.

The XL bully BSL was introduced earlier this year in England. Does anyone know why some dogs have been allowed to get this far through the year without being neutered? I’ve just seen a post from a local bully breed account saying they’ve only just booked their dog in to be spayed! Is this allowed as part of the legislation? Are they slipping through the net? I’m curious as to whether I should report it or whether it’s something owners have been given permission to do.
I’ve been dating my boyfriend for a while now and breaking up with him is not an option. He has a pitbull/border collie mix and she’s… fine. Shes smaller and less bulky than an average pitbull. She’s not aggressive, but she does bark. Neither of us are huge fans of pitbulls and I think I could probably convince him to get rid of her, but his kids are pretty attached to her. I’ve been around the dog while the kids have been there and she has never acted in a way that I would consider aggressive or dangerous( I’ve had dogs my whole life so I am familiar with dog body language and facial expressions). I don’t think this dog is going anywhere any time soon, but I want to make sure the home environment is safe for everyone including the kids, my dog and myself. Any suggestions?
Edit: can someone explain why people are downvoting a person asking a legitimate question and asking for legitimate advice?
I'm not even sure where to put this, if not just to share. It just doesn't feel real.
My sweet Golden girl Arcee, raised from a pup, is gone because of one of these pieces of shit. She was attacked by an unleashed stray pit on Monday, and she just couldn't recover from it. I made the choice to have her put to sleep rather than to continue suffering. Of course, no fucking owner in sight. The only help I got was from an absolutely wonderful technician who heard me and came over. Animal control was called, Pit was taken away.
I don't wish this on absolutely anyone. It hurts so fucking badly.
Fuck pitbulls.
There's an area we drive by every day where I've seen pit bulls being walked frequently. A couple weeks ago while waiting at the light, I saw some people standing at the corner with their pit, and at the same time a woman was crossing the street with her two pits. When they reached the same side of the street as the other people standing a few yards away, the woman's pits start acting insane when they see the other pit, and I now noticed one of her pits was wearing a muzzle. Gee, I can't imagine why
I explained it in a comments section here, but the short and sweet of it is, I got attacked by some pit owned by a couple of meth heads who faced light punishment and the dog went on to kill an old man's jack russell.
I used to believe that no dog is born evil, including pits. I used to believe that with proper training and an attentive owner, a pit could be a great dog for anyone, including families.
You can blame it on the trauma of the attack, the doctor told me to my face that I was lucky and I could've died from how deep the teeth went, and recently learned about the gluteal artery that could've been punctured...
Guilt is also a factor. I very frequently think "I should've done more to shake the table, maybe that jack russell would still be okay", but it would've been so much time and money I didn't have. I still think about writing a letter to the judge, chewing her out for her being so lenient on those living mounds of smegma, but I digress.
Nowadays I can't stand to be near pits, pit mixes, and pit shaped dogs with very few exceptions. I mistook a service mastiff for a pit and had a panic attack in a grocery store soon after the attack. If any of my coworkers or friends say they're taking in a pit, I secretly look down on them.
Now when I look around on here and see "Pit bull attacks & kills elderly neighbor", or "Pitbull rips off owner's arm, and they still want to keep the dog", my blood fucking BOILS. I got laughed at, in court no less, by the owners of the dog that attacked me. I was told by the other wretched, emaciated female goblin that it's not her fault, she was just excited and that's why the dog tried to kill me. I've seen pit owners here express similar, if not the same kind of sentiments that I got.
So, fuck em! Fuck pit bulls, fuck you for owning them, you bunch of dropouts and druggies and inbreds alike. Bring on the hate, pit nutters, give me that smoke, I can stand the heat!
I have wondered for a some time now, that do you all think that people are much more tolerant to human and/or animal aggressive dogs (and dog breeds). It's just seems like it now that many animal rights movements are on the rise, which is of course a good thing, but people are taking it too far and tolerating aggressiveness or trying to Ceasar-Milan dogs that are clearly result of bad breeding, thus not trainable.
So what do you all think? Are there more aggressive dogs, or less or do you think that they are just more visible because of social media?

An elderly Louisiana woman was partially eaten by her neighbor's dogs after she fell in the driveway.
The unidentified woman was walking down on her driveway on Randall Avenue in Livingston Parish on Tuesday when she fell, neighbor Randall Averette told WBRZ.
While she was trying to get back up, her neighbor's dogs attacked her, he said.
'When I went over there, she was laying on the ground, paramedics bandaging her up,' Averette recounted, describing her injuries as 'graphic.'
'The paramedics said she was torn up pretty good around her calf, her right leg was bit, her arm was bit and the dog bit her on the back of her neck.'
Another neighbor also said she witnessed the dogs attack, and called 911 as soon as she saw the woman on the ground.
'She had to stand there and watch it,' said the neighbor's daughter, Cheryl Boudreaux. 'She was like, "Y'all need to hurry up and get here. Hurry up and get here. They are eating this woman."'
'Then, Mama said the lady wasn't moving and Mama thought she was dead.'
The woman was instead brought to a local hospital. Her condition remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Maria Vincent has been arrested and charged with negligent injuring and dogs not to run at large for her pets' actions.
'You can be charged with negligent injuring and you can be sued by these homeowners for medical bills,' Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard warned other dog owners.
'It's going to come back to bite you, that's what's going to happen.'
But Ard noted this was not the first time Vincent's dogs attacked a person, saying she had been cited before for a past incident in which one of the canines bit a person.
Unfortunately, in that case, investigators were unable to determine which dog was involved.
'She's been through the system already, she's been fined,' Ard said of the dog owner. 'Here we are again, same dog, same situation.
'Now someone's seriously hurt, something has got to change.'
Bourdeaux also claimed her mom has been bitten twice by the same dogs, but was afraid to speak up.
'My mom is 85 years old, both times she required medical attention,' the worried daughter said.
She argued that it was not right that multiple people had to get injured for something to change.
'We're just furious, you know, because we don't understand why it had to get to this,' she told the news station.
'They finally took the dogs away, that's the first time.'
Ard also confirmed that all three dogs were taken to Livingston Parish Animal Control Center on Wednesday, saying the owner surrendered two of them.
The fate of the surrendered dogs remains unclear.
But Ard said people should protect themselves when they come face-to-face with a dangerous dog.
'You do whatever you think is necessary,' Ard suggested. 'You have a right to protect you, your property, your kids.'
October 23rd 2024.
A 38-year-old Reading woman has been left ‘tramatized' after suffering severe injuries in a terrifying dog attack.
The assault happened on Wednesday, October 23, near Northumberland Avenue in Whitley, Reading.
The woman, in her thirties, was attacked from behind by the XL Bully shortly after getting off a bus.
Her brother, John-Paul Dapp, described the condition of his sister after the attack as "serious".
Mr Dapp said: "We are all very angry.
"We know from a local neighbouring resident in the Whitley Estate that the dog and the owner has been reported at least five times previously so this could have been so easily prevented if the police took those reports seriously."
The dog's attack was so severe that the animal attached itself to the side of her head, severing the woman’s ear and scalp.
She attempted to fend off the animal with her hands, but the dog bit through her hand.
She was rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where she has undergone three surgeries to repair her hand, reattach her ear, and reconstruct her scalp.
Doctors noted that had the dog bitten 2mm deeper into her head, the situation could have been much worse.
Despite her ordeal, the victim bears no ill will towards the dog.
Mr Dapp said: "This was extremely hard on my sister because she is a huge animal lover, and she has said that she doesn’t blame the dog.
"She said that this could have happened with any breed of dog because if poorly trained every dog is dangerous."
He added: "I think that people need to be made aware that this type of thing can happen to anyone and that there should be tighter controls on dogs and their owners."
The police informed the family that the dog has been taken to a kennel to be 'destroyed'.
Police informed the family that a man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail.
Mr Dapp also revealed details of the attack from his sister's perspective.
