So, I have tried to complete Dame Aylin's questline and successfully gotten to Sorcerous Sundries, however Lorroakan is just... missing? He's not in the tower, I have no idea where he is. Keep in mind I have not talked to him once.
Going to camp and talking to Aylin, I can tell her that Lorroakan is looking for her, whereas she goes to the tower.
I teleport to the Tower, go through the right portal, and now everyone is just standing there unable to be interacted with.
Rolan trades as normal, Aylin is unable to be clicked at (at all) and no one else has any dialogue for me.
I genuinely dont know what to do, I have 1 mod running that shouldn't interfere with this quest at all (Hairstyle mod) and I dont know when to reload my save.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I know that these actions appear in honor mode, however, I have never played it, but they have appeared in my previous playthroughs. And now I can't remember why.
I didn't put mods to increase difficulty, etc., maybe it's a matter of custom difficulty mode?
So as stupid as this may seem, coming from someone who's logged about 800 hours. One thing I've missed, or can't seem to find much info on, is how are the deep gnomes are connected to the true souls? Are they branded? There seems to be a lot of context I'm missing here on an explanation on how they just know when there is a tadpole infested person nearby. They get the same reaction one of the branded get, but I don't seem to see any evidence that they were.
I feel I want another play-through but some parts are pretty boring. Got any tips to spice things up? Maybe some mods.
When the game released I finished it as a dark elf sorcerer, and a bit later as a durge half elf dual wielding rouge.
i wanna use the poly mod so i can knock out all the romances in one playthrough but i have a few questions first.
can i use durge? >!i know there’s at least one durge specific cutscene in act 2 with your companion. will it pick a different one at random or something?!< it’s not that important but i don’t wanna miss out on certain interactions if possible.
which ending will i get? i assume i can just save with the companion i want and reload a save or something like that?
TLDR: are there any specific interactions i can miss with the poly mod?
Race and class-specific dialogue
Saw this for the first time in my 5th playthrough (somehow I brought her everywhere with me in all my runs but I never took her to the murder tribunal) and had a really good laugh.
This and all her other lines/banters with other companions are always said in such a flat, serious tone and she is not laughing at all but I am, I love her.
I'm in act three , i was going to gortash's incoronation but i wanted to steal the Flame enamelled armour first, the problem is that i forgot that my team followed me and i got the guards fully hostile , now is there a way to fix this or i have to live with the consequences?
I can't play an evil character. I can't be mean to the little computer people. For that reason I have never recruited Minnie.
This time I went for a knockout, pick her up at moonrise run.
I was concerned she would be snarky, mean, and generally unlikable. I was shocked when she was ended up as one of my favourite characters.
It sounds like she was well and truly under the thrall of the absolute and being used as a puppet which makes me really feel for her.
Long story short, Minnie's in all future runs.
If I’m wrong then mb but I’ve been through five times and haven’t seen even adjacent shit ever pop up. Do you unlock more game by being homophobic IRL?
My main question is should I be saving and reloading a lot?
I don't want to ruin the experience but I'm struggling to progress without reloading.
Me and my friend before started a honour mode playthrough. Thing is, i have already beat the game on tactician, so i keep metagaming hard fights.
I keep telling him how ridiculous dror ragzlin is but we ended up beating him without him even getting a melee attack on us because i suggested we sneak inside and climb onto the ceiling beforehand then launch a surprise attack. (also halsin and his call lightning spam is pretty ridiculous if you dismiss his bear form)
Then i told him how hard the githyankis were (i got my ass handed to me last time i fought them and needed to reload like 5 times to beat them), but this time i casted hunger of hadar and silence on top of them, they got 1 hold person off in that whole fight. My friend didn't even get to see their psychic damage on hit.
Spider matriarch we handled easily with the orcs.
I need some advice on how to win but still let him see what the enemy can do. Maybe some sort of self imposed rule that isn't THAT punishing, or maybe a caster build that isn't spamming big crowd controls. (Or just killing people in one turn)
For reference i am playing a shadow monk and warlock shart, hes playing oathbreaker durge and throw eldritch knight laezel.
I'm away for a few days and I was wondering if my (Steam) PC Cloud Saves are compatible with BG3 on MacOS so I can get my fix using my MacBook (just finished Act 2!)
I saw my bf playing the game 3 weeks ago (i do game quite a lot but never played dnd, never played turn-based games, never really was into rpgs) and while he was talking to the characters I thought they were so cool (especially Astarion). So I was like, hey could I borrow the game? And I got SO hooked. The world pulled me in so bad that I finished the game in 90h in a little more than 2 weeks and like 2 days later started a different (more evil) playthrough with a different race/class/background and oh my god I just never get bored of this game. I got to act 2 in a week again. My boyfriend is totally dumbfounded because he thought I wouldn't like it, get bored and drop it (as did I). But now I also fell in love with dnd as well and we're going to play together soon! Thank you BG3 for being so damn good!
I walked in, killed Gut behind closed doors, and the closest Goblins I saw where not aggroed. I went to the underdark, did a fair bit of content there and came back up to find the entire camp aggroed.
Will I be missing any cool content if I slaughter everyone now? Like the pain guy or vendors?
So far every time I had Wyll become duke, his epilogue was bugged and he thought that Tav is a githyanki who went with laezel. Is this still happening? I reloaded an old save when patch 7 came out and it still happened there, but I don’t know if it was because it’s an old save file or because it is really still bugged. I really want him to be duke in my current game but not having his dialogue at the party sucks.
I've got to Moonrise, where I have to investigate Kethric's mausoleum, and found a Temple of Shar underneath. I'm making Shadowheart go through the trials for now.
Roughly how far into the main quest am I? How many hours do I roughly have to go?
I just saw a dnd session with the cast that was uploaded to youtube 5 days ago. As I understood, their characters are already leveled and expirianced, so that means they had more sessions before, right? I found some, but not a whole lot. Is there a playlist of their sessions anywhere? I would love to seem them all.
Plus, if you have seen them play bg3, which did you enjoy the most to follow?
So, this was my first run after I bought the game. When everything started going down immediately I was like lemme play sides for the absolute and maybe they will leave. BOY WAS I WRONG everyone started fighting so me and my team started boxing up Isobel and then we accidentally killed her!!! I thought we knocked her out!! BUT I HAD KILLED HER. then everyone started dying and I was like it’s gonna be okay because we’ll save everyone at the end of the day right? I still felt extremely terrible for all the npcs. But anyway after that I learned what the dark urge was and that if u killed Isobel you could get this extremely powerful form 🫥 and I was like bro. I killed all those people and that poor girl and I could’ve gotten way stronger for it?! Now IM REALLY angry!! This game is so fun
Maybe this is common knowledge but throwing scratches ball outside of camp at any point summons him and he pops into existence like a Pokémon. Surprised me when I threw his ball to see if the Strange Ox would interact with it lol. Never using the spell to summon him again, scratch comin out the poké ball from here on out!
been lovin this game but can't seem to play through to end...
issue 1:
!All save game files load fine up to Under City Ruins.!<
!After taking boat and arriving at Morphic Pools I can save game but after exiting game and trying to load they always crash.!<
issue 2:
Because of above, I've tried a single playthrough without exiting game only to find the game crash whilst loading final cutscene(s).
!i defeated netherbrain, spoke with other characters, e.g. wyll and gale, chose option go our seperate ways, then woke up in bed, chose option, go kill all the baal cultists, then whilst loading next scene it crashed.!<
I wanted to save and playthough this last part as wanted to find out the different endings but can't complete a single playthrough atm.
if its a mod issue I guess I can play through the whole game again without mods, but i'd cry if I get to the end and have the same issue again - as really want to discover the varied outcomes from game choices.
I have sent crash reports to larian and have filed bug report but wanted to know if anyone had suggestions. thanks.

As in busted, the game became substantially easier once I started using it, almost too easy. There is little to no reason ever using anything else.
Since it can be cast multiple times per turn using multiattack, you absolutely clap anything as you proc the extra dmg 3-4 times. It seems like a lvl7 eldritch knight essentially gets an extra attack. Since you "cast a spell as your action", you get to do a melee attack as a bonus action, which also can be booming blade. So essentially, being a lvl7 EK, you can make a booming blade attack 3 times per turn, on lvl11 you can use it 4x per turn. Same thing with greenflame blade.
Just asking if anyone else had the experience of these cantrips being a tad bit overtuned or if its just my builds that make the game too easy. Tactition mode right now seems way easier than normal difficulty for me and my theory is thats because I am using a blade warlock with these cantrips and an EK, so half of my party gets to abuse this overtuned cantrip.
I'm in Act 2, I have a few illithid powers, and I've three mind flater specimens in my inventory. But when I go to the powers screen, it says I have no tadpoles available. Is this a bug? Third playthrough and never had this issue. Playing Dark Urge for first time if that could have any impact. Rescued Minthara by knocking her out at the Grove which has already prompted the Cerys initiative bug (unfortunately she had an accident involving Astarions dagger to her face, so that's resolved)
What's y'all's opinion about the Monk Class, I personally love it, but I'm interested in seeing everyone else's opinion
As RPG fan (Skyrim, Runescape), but someone with 0 D&D experience, I was intrigued about BG3. I wasn't used to tactical turn-based gameplay with dice rolls being key to every step along the way.
The combat was fine, but dialogues and missed dice rolls (for example nature and perception) drove me insane because I viewed it as a player (look at this, it is right there, how can you miss it?) instead of immersing myself into my character's Point of view.
I was even debating to quit, uninstall and refund the game somewhere in act 1, but a friend of mine suggested that I should try save scumming and using cheesy builds (looking at you, throwbarian). To paint you a better picture without spoilers, my first run went horribly downhill, missing every crucial dice roll imaginable. I couldn't achieve 90% of the outcomes I wanted.
After giving the game another go and reading up on guides, I managed to find it much more approachable and appreciated the love poured into it by the developer team. Right now I have nearly 300 hours of gameplay. I've started playing it in September, when the hype train died down a bit, so it is a bit unfortunate.
My question for you - did you ever feel the same way about a different game? Horrible initial experience but later transformed into newly found appreciation.
