Hello, My husband and I are looking to travel to the Bahamas in about 1.5 months.
I am an Indian passport holder with a valid US visa (H1-b) and it's stamped in my passport.
He has a croatian passport (part of the Schengen zone) and also has a valid US visa (F-1) and a valid I-20.
Would we need a visitors visa? Any information helps!
Any good restaurants in Freeport, Bahamas to get dressed up for? I’m talking nice jeans/pants and a button up type dressed up... Nothing super fancy, but want to have a nice less casual evening out without feeling overdressed. And maybe other places to see things to do before or after that dinner?
Hi! I am a 25 year old female interested in going to the Bahamas to celebrate New Years with some friends. Where / would you recommend going?
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys! I look at gaming cultures around the world and I am a racing game fan. I have asked all of these questions on different subreddits, simply because I am curious about how each and every single country on this planet experiences video games. I am also curious about gaming in the Bahamas. My questions are:
What is more popular? PC or console?
What was more popular in the late 90s and early 2000s? PC or Console?
What racing game was popular in the late 90s and early 2000s!
What do racing game fans in the Bahamas play today?-(I get it might not be the most popular genre, but for people who like it, what do they play?)
In general, what games are played there?
Thanks for your responses!!!!
I am a Malawian passport holder seeking clarification regarding visa requirements. From research, it appears I do not need a visa upon entry. However, I would appreciate more clarification from a second source. Your kind assistance is appreciated
Does anyone know where I can find this for online?
Thinking about going to Atlantis for gambling but don't want to carry cash. How do I get cash there? Is there ATM in the resort. How much do they charge? Are there any free slot credits?
Help please! Looking for hotel suggests. Don't care which island, just trying to avoid Nassau. Looking for a mid to small sized hotel on the beach. Don't need much but a bar and a beach and food within walking distance. I hate big resorts!!! Any suggestions???
Husband has a convention there this week so I decided to kill time hiding ducks. I have just under 100….Good Luck Me!! And to the hunters!!
Is US $ okay or do I need something else ?
We are island hopping for our out islands vacation and are routing through Nassau. With that long of a layover I'm thinking we have a good 4 hours on island to do something fun and a good lunch with our 3 year old. We are light packers (carry-ons only) and love beaches and local cultures (super touristy stuff isn't really for us, so places like straw market probably aren't our cup of tea).
Looks like "just" two cruise shops are docked that day, if that makes a difference.
If you’ve heard, the Department of Statistics have released census data this year showing that while the population is growing, there is a decline in the number of children being born each year and decade. I’ve noticed this for years when I found out the fertility rate is 1.38, the ideal number should be 2.1.
Birth decline is being noticed globally of course, with the countries suffering the most are developed countries like Japan and South Korea. Yet developing countries like ours are also starting to suffer from it. It means fewer people are being born, but the current population is getting older. This is a cause of concern for us especially because youth push economic growth, and possibly losing our chances of becoming a wealthy or well off nation due to lack of manpower. But I don’t see just the effects of this, but the cause for this.
About 50 years ago, it was normal to see a family of 10-15 kids because life was so simple. Our great grandparents didn’t have much prospects and their worldview was limited to where they lived. They were farmers, carpenters or fishermen, had a home, their wives and many kids. Saving up for college and extracurriculars weren’t something on their mind, because that wasn’t possible due to racial discrimination and limitations back then, which was why they had no family planning or education to know the effects of having many kids.
Today, it’s very much different where people are waiting longer to have kids because of awareness of childcare costs and family planning, along with rising costs of living and low wages are having fewer children (1-3) or no children at all. Seeing people viewpoint towards it was interesting. For one, it made me see that we deserve that D average for BJC results, and it shows that people are unaware of the bigger picture of population decline. You see people say “How and everybody I see pregnant” or “They must can’t count because of all these children I see”. Besides the simple views, I wanted to know people’s views on this here as well.
Hi. We are expats planning to buy a car from another person in the Bahamas. What are the requirements that we should have/ask for in order to make the purchase legal? (Also assuming the car is still registered). Thank you.
Hello, we are leaving Margaritaville tomorrow at 11am but our flight isn’t until 10pm! Does anyone have any suggestions on anything good we can do all day before going to the airport? Maybe a day exploring paradise island or Baha mar. Probably nothing too beachy before our long flight unless shower facilities available.
TIA
Currently doing a school project that calls for the 10 national symbols, I only have 9; the flag, the pledge, the flower, the coat of arms, the song, the anthem, the tree, the bird and the fish.
What's the last one? I looked on online and could only find those 9 so I'm confused, what do I put as we only learned those 9 in school.
Im wondering how stores that are stocked to the brim and have a few walk ins manage to stay open especially the ones in the ballroom area.
I (M27) was with my wife staying at the Royal at Atlantis. We decided to go try out the spa at the resort, Mandara and bought the deep tissue massage. The massage was great and the staff were kind and helpful. Afterwards I used the hot tub and when finished went to disrobe. As I was disrobing one of the male attendants came up to me and said I had nice gentials and began to touch it until I (immediately) told him no. I’m in contact with the resort about the incident
I’m wondering:
does this happen a lot/ has anyone else had this experience?
is there some kind of unspoken spa culture around being naked where it invites staff to touch you like that?
any advice on what to do further about the incident?
wanted to at least warn everyone here that if you do not want that to happen to you you might abstain from going to Mandara and get your massage needs met elsewhere
I'm going to be in Nassau in a few months on a cruise. I was told 1) there's not much to see, and 2) you are approached constantly to buy stuff (no different than any other island in the Caribbean), so I thought, rather than stay on the ship, I could find a beach club with a pool, snorkeling, and food. I did this on Crete and had so much fun. Any suggestions?
Has anybody visited the day spas at Atlantis or any in Baja Mar lately in Nassau? Looking for the blue diamond.
