Hi subreddit,

The BC podcast was a being part of my life in 2014-2016. I was a fan of the band so when the guys started the podcast, I listened. The podcast came around at an important part in my life. I was questioning my personal faith and expanding my mind. I wouldn't say the podcast help me ultimately make any personal decisions, but it was nice to hear people speak frankly about always evolving personal beliefs.

I stopped listening sometime around in 2017. No real reason why. If I had to put a finger on it, I'd say I out grew the the discussion topics in a way.

The reason I'm writing; can anyone give me the scoop on Joey's departure? I can't really find much information online. I'm sure it's talked about in the podcasts ( bad Christian podcast and pastor with no answers podcast) but I don't have the time commitment to sift through them to find what I'm looking for. And I realize it's not exactly current news, but I would appreciate any information people can pass on.

Was it mutual? Did it have something to do with Joey's depression? Are they still friends outside of working relationship? Did Matt and Toby want to move on without Joey?

I've heard mental health, forced off show. Etc. What's going on? I'm seeing Emery tomorrow, I legit might ask what's going on.

I haven't listened to the podcast in a few months and was bummed he left, but it sounded like Matt and Toby didn't really know what was going on.

This Joey leaving stuff hurts me to the core. I've gone through enough friend breakups to understand how complicated these things can be. Seems like everyone got hurt pretty bad. I'm still going to listen to the podcast but it's just so sad. There's so little info too and I don't want to bother any of them.. it's their lives really. I was just wondering.. does this hit anyone else around here pretty close?

Does anyone know why Joey isn't on the podcast lately?

The latest episode of the BC Pod was really good. I think his Instagram account as a way to just poke some fun at pastors. Even funnier seeing people make a big deal about it.

Is anyone else here in the BC Club?

I've been bothering Matt and Reva about starting a sub Reddit exclusive to the club.

The Facebook is a lot of shit posting and the discord never stops. If I had some company I might be able to convince them.

There was an episode a while back ago that talked about suicide and wheat happens when a Christian decides to and the reaction that Toby said he felt Jesus would have, does anyone remember what episode this was?

I'm new to the BCP but I've been working my way back through the podcast archive and I really enjoy the honest conversation. I feel like I could chill with these guys and we could have a beer together. Unfortunately I work at a church where there is no one that would welcome such "progressive" ideas.

Listened to my first episode a few days ago, instantly hooked. These guys are willing to talk about all the things I would have loved to talk about in a small group when I was in a church but no one was willing to talk about.

Anyways, just sending a shot in the dark, looking for signs of life!

Hey, everybody. A while back the guys had mentioned a band during the podcast and I really dug the after checking them out. However, now I've forgotten what the band name is. I cannot recall the episode they played the song clip, but it's a rock band with a male singer that has a kinda higher pitched voice. Anybody that may remember what I'm talking about and can help will become my new best friend.

Does anyone else think Toby's podcast is as awful as I think it is? The first few were bad, in my opinion, but the most recent one (where did rap come from) was pretty unbearable.

On the BC Podcast they keep saying that people don't understand Unstoppable Badass and that's why some people don't like it. Am I missing something? I feel like the comedy is not going over my head... It's a ton of fart/poop jokes. There are not really many jokes that you can't "get."

Also, Toby quit his job to focus on THIS? It is sort of blowing my mind that he's banking on the success of Unstoppable Badass like that...

Does anyone know if there are any sermons from Joey recorded and available to download? It would be interesting to hear him preach
