I have the original dvd releases but I want to upgrade to the blu ray because I love this series so much. Does anyone have experience with this blu ray set?
When Aang almost killed Ozai in the avatar state I thought it was cool how Ozai went out. He didnt cry or beg. He just accepted that he lost the battle.
Like yeah I get it, she messed up as a child but you can't live your life lingering on the past but at one point you gotta move on and that's what Su Yon did.
And it's not her fault that Lin could never move past that and became better. Like, Su Yin has the right to continue with her life and if Lin doennt want to then that's on her and not Suyin
Plus people act like she is a bad personas where she it's not, she just made a mistake
I'll go first:
Toph and monk gyatso: toph needed someone to allow her the freedom to be herself but still be there for her and protect her from being forced to grow up like when she left her parents in the series. Toph needed guidance without being stifled, which is everything gyatso was as a "parent".
Ursa and katara and sokka: katara was forced to become motherly way too early, and I think she needed someone to take care of her for once and she could have a female role model who looked out for her and also Ursa would have put sokkas sexism in check way before the kyoshi warriors.
Iroh and aang: aang really needed iroh's wisdom to help him grow up and deal with the avatar duties. Also iroh would have been a huge help with the spirit world, and would have convinced aang he didn't need to do anything alone.
Hadoka and zuko and azula: he would have taught them what family actually means and would have loved them like they deserved, but also he would have quelled azulas destructive tendencies.
Just got it today. Extremely pleased with how it turned out.
20 years have past and there is still so much discussion to have with this show :)
This question is for the fans that truly like Legend of Korra. I love ATLA and I really want to like Korra, but I’ve only managed a few episodes into the first season. One of my favorite things about ATLA (aside from the incredible characters and their individual arcs) is the world itself, and I struggle to like the more “modernized” version, it almost feels like a different world altogether.
I really want to love this show, so tell me the things you, fans of Korra, love about it.
Should I read Kyoshi first or Yangchen?
I think the Kyoshi novels were written first, But obviously Yangchen is chronologically first.
Does it matter?
Does anyone have this image but all the characters are removed. I feel like it would be a cool background?
Cuz I’m genuinely really worried if the upcoming Movies/Shows are bad, the IP/universe had potential to be as Big as Star Wars and each time news about the series comes out such the new series having twin avatars and being set in a more modern era/day it seems more and more likely that they’re gonna fumble. And if it does then it’s just gonna tarnish Avatar’s IP like how the sequel trilogy tarnished Star Wars and ultimately made people lose interest in the IP. If it were me I’d just retcon everything that comes after the original series and start from scratch.
Hey everyone! 👋
For the past 3 months, I’ve been working on my dream game, Summit of Elements - a farming RPG with elemental abilities, inspired by Stardew Valley and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Instead of using tools, you bend the elements to grow crops, mine, and explore a town full of NPCs with their own elemental skills.
I just uploaded my first devlog covering the progress so far - including crafting, farming, and funny development struggles. It’s still early, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Let me know what you think, and I’d love to hear any suggestions! 🙌
