All about the Nickelodeon show avatar

It would make sense for Zuko, Azula, or Iroh since they are royalty, but not so much for the rest of the characters
Just wondering
Both can use multiple elements at the same time
I personally don't, as only certain past Avatars and non-avatar characters (Zaheer, Ghara, Combustion benders ect) are the only ones really pulling unique bending. Yeah, Korra does metal bend, but, that's really it!
Kyoshi glass bends
Aang had Energy/Spirit Bending
Yangchen and her scream
Ghara, Bolin, and Seta with Lava Bending
Zaheer being able to fly
OK, you know what I’m going to say it I really hope that Aang did apologize for how he treated tough and everyone during the desert episode. Like I completely get that he was devastated about appa hell all of us were devastated, but it really made me upset how he accused toph of not hearing when in reality. She’s never felt so helpless a day in her life except during that episode where she couldn’t see properly.
I’m rewatching the series for the first time in years and I gotta ask why he didn’t just escape to the boats with his wife and the rest of the people. I mean I guess if there was survivors he needed to stop the volcanoes quickly to organize search and rescue but it’s lava and a bloody volcano, there’s gonna be zero survivors or even any bodies to find. I guess it IS his home but seriously the second the 2nd volcano popped up or Fang started flying around him he should’ve hopped on and flown off. Is any real in universe given as to why his wife let go of his hand and he was forced to fight the volcano
After watching the entire series again with my son, I found even more moments and scenes that I loved! What are some of your favorites moments from the series?
Here is a thought inspired by the other post on why Long Feng kept Appa.
Pretend that the Gaang never turned up in Ba Sing Se; what was Long Feng’s end game? The wall soldiers clearly weren’t going to stop the fire nations drill. The FN was about to, and technically did penetrate Ba Sing Se’s walls and surely an invasion force was not far behind to attempt to take the city. What’s more is, logically, Long Feng would have known all this. 20,000 ton excavation machines don’t just appear overnight. And while the EK military might have gotten complacent, or just outright incompetent, Long Feng was not. He would have had informants covering every possible approach to the city, and he would have known about a potential FN siege for weeks before the drill started advancing. So what do you think Long Feng’s strategy was, because if the Gaang hadn’t undermined his control, the FN was certainly going to.
I had a random thought today, and wanted to get other peoples thoughts.
We all know Aang struggled with the idea of murdering Firelord Ozai because of his air nomad culture.
However, we have also learned through the Yangchen novels that she was kicked out of the air nomad temples, for not properly adhering to air nomad ideals and for putting her brothers in a position to do so as well.
This makes me believe the conversations Aang had with the other Avatars on the back of the lion turtle were much more in-depth than we got to see. I believe Yangchen told him about being kicked out of the temples, and how she put her duty as avatar over being an air nomad as evidence as that’s what he should do.
But, Yangchen had all the other air nomads alive to remind the planet she is the exception, not the rule. For every action taken against air nomads ideals for Yangchen, there were a thousands of positive actions being taken by the other air nomads.
Aang doesn’t have that. If he wants to rebuild the air nomads, he isn’t allowed to put avatar duties above the air nomads culture. Whatever HE does, is what an air nomad is. If he kills Ozai, then tried to preach how they should protect life, it may ring hollow. It may feel hypocritical.
That is why I think Aang would have been much more brutal, like Yangchen, if he had other air nomads to be the shining light for the culture. I think Aang would have instantly killed Firelord Ozai if he didn’t have to try and rebuild the entire air nomad culture as a single person.
I think that’s also why in Korra when air bending comes back, the evil actions taken by Zaheer do not taint the entire movement. There is a plethora of other air nomads to prove Zaheer is not the normal air bender.
Idk. Just my fan theory/thought.
I am not sure if anyone has asked this question before, but can someone clarify how were airbenders born? I don't think the monks were having children themselves. So were the airbenders born elsewhere and brought in? If so, how did getting rid of the previous generation of monks/airbenders got rid of them for a 100 years. Would not more of them had to have been born somehow?
I am a huge fan of avatar the last airbender but I like other things as well. Things that are more kid friendly like gravity falls. All the way to more adult material like true detective season 1( not a big fan of the other seasons). So yeah just curious.
So I haven’t exactly had the time to read the canon comics after both ATLA and TLOK, I was just wondering how many are there all together and is it worth buying them or just reading online?
Do I go for legend of korra, or do I go for the books? If the books, which one?
On a re-watch, and it struck me that Long Feng's concern is keeping control of the King and of Ba Sing Se, and apparently this is why he's concerned about the gaang's antics. He also explicitly says he knows that they're looking for Appa, so after finding him, why didn't he present a deal along the lines of "you get your bison back and I will communicate with all the various generals about the eclipse, but you will stop causing a ruckus and never broach this with the King"? Why instead does he actually keep Appa after the Whaletail Island red herring - why not actually send him there and get the gaang gone?

Dk if this is true or not but would be cool if it is.
I'll be honest, I followed a drawing tutorial. Here is the tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmfdqBQilw0
