Looking for something like the World-Tree Online series by EA Hooper. Was a great listen and I really enjoyed the full cast and effects. I've seen the recommendations for Dungeon Crawler Carl and it's in my library but looking for new stuff to grab during the sale. I also enjoyed Robert Bevan's entire Caverns and Creatures series (you have to be ok with some dirty humor along with a fun romping adventure,) and Pirateaba's books. I have looked through a ton of the recommendation threads on here already as well and picked up a few from those.
I am looking for an LGBTQ+ kinda story that is not nsfw. Thank you for any suggestions
What??? I bought this book yesterday. With the same card I bought 12 other books with? Went to listen to it today and it wouldn't download. Kept giving me a playback error. Went to title details and it gives me this notification 👆. I'm so confused? I'm in the US so I know that most books are fine in my country/region. What does it mean that its not authorized to sell it when I literally bought it yesterday sitting in the same exact seat in the same exact location the other day. Anyone got a solution lol.
So I am currently listening to "Weit ĂĽber der SmaragdgrĂĽnen See" (German Version of Tress of the Emerald Sea) again.
I know I had it on audible because I remember listening to it last year and yesterday I started the first few chapters.
But today it was gone. There was no explanation. Books from the same author and speaker are still available. So is the original in English.
Does anyone have any explanation for that?
I have books from 5 different places and would like to find a way to store my books on line.
I want to be able to put into folders by genre and must be able to see cover art.
Thanks for any pointers.
I have most of my books backed up but no cover art and wonder if there is a way to just download cover art.
Or, any other method is welcome also ?
I can’t call and I am very sick and tired of looking for one. Using the apps way of emailing its not showing I actually sent it from my iCloud mail so this is just for help. Thanks.
Hi - I have just purchased an audible subscription as a christmas gift and I wanted to print out the gift card. However when I go to the page to print it shows that the image is broken and also the audible logo is flipped upside down. Does anyone else see this issue?
I chose the christmas gift image as my gift card image
Has the title says I have 9 credits and idk what books to get with them. Anyone have any good book / book series suggestions?
SOLVED! My billing address had changed to one of the other addresses I have used in my Amazon account (though I haven't used that address in a long time). I don't know how it happened, but I corrected it and everything seems to be good now!
I'm new to audible. In my second month of a trial that includes the plus catalogue. I live in Ohio. Everything has been fine. Purchased (with my credit) my first book and listened to it no problem. I have been listening to a few plus catalogue books as well with now issues. I have also been shopping the sale, adding titles I'm interested in to my wish list. Today, everything went wrong
I can no longer listen to plus catalogue titles. The books in my wish list have the following message on PC and the app:
We're sorry, Audible is not authorized to sell this title in your country/region. Please consider another book.
I spent 90 mins on the phone with Audible and they couldn't figure it out. A work ticket is created and it may take up to 72 hours to be resolved (if it gets resolved at all). Worried I might miss the sale.
Anyone else ever had this issue? What was the solution?
On the main page there is a list of titles that are 85% off but it’s not complete—in searching for books I have found other titles that are 85% off (or more) that are not included in the list on the main page. I’d like to see all of them. Is there any way to get a complete list?
I’m new to audible and made use of the promotional offer. I usually use Libby but was itching to try some of the Andy Weir books. Thanks to a lot of suggestions on this subreddit, I went with the selection below. I was ready to spend extra but the total worked out perfectly.
PS. I already purchased Project Hail Mary with a credit and saving Dungeon Crawler Carl for future credits!
This “Recent” sort is EXTREMELY annoying to deal with given things you had no intention of making “Recent” are appearing out of nowhere at the top of the list, interrupting the whole app interaction process.
Or am I missing something? I really wish Audible would hire developers who actually use their app in the real world.
It didn’t used to be like this. Only new library additions and play starts moved things to the top of the list. But now, download action is also included and it’s TOO DAMN EASY to initiate a download while scrolling if you’re not extremely careful!
I would submit this issue to the Audible Feedback post portal but I can’t help but feel like I’d be trying to explain the issue to a classroom of five year olds.
I discovered that just by going to borrow a Kindle Unlimited, the audible add on option is often times cheaper than even the sale prices. This is not always the case though.
For example, I had Bastion: Immortal Souls in my cart for the sale for about $7.50, and went to go check it out on Kindle Unlimited. I borrowed it and then the audiobook dropped down to $3.
This did not happen for Beware of Chicken. In some cases, the price remained the same.
In the case of Off to the Be the Wizard by Scott Meyer, I was pleasantly surprised that the audiobook comes not only with the Kindle Unlimited book, but that the book has animations in it!
I’m pretty sure Kindle Unlimited comes with a trial period so one could activate that and probably take advantage of some savings there, but mileage may vary.
It's advertised as an interactive audiobook, how does this work? Also, does it work just on Audible?
I bought a prepaid debit visa, but when I try to pay for the audiobooks, I ordered I get an error: "Your purchase has been declined. Please edit your payment method and repurchase the item."
I have verified that the card is active, and the funds are available.
After I enter the card info (I've done so 2X already), I then use my name and address in the required fields. Isn't this what I'm supposed to do? Anyone with prepaid debit card experience please help.
I am from America but am living in Thailand for a year. Long story short my credit card expired while I was here and it canceled my audible subscription.
I tried having family buying me a Google Play card in America but I can't add it to my account while in Thailand.
If I buy a Google Play card in Thailand can I use it to renew my subscription? Or is it going to be region locked because the account is American?
Is there any other options to renew my subscription without a credit card because my new card is being held at the post office in America?
Audible should add a way to exclude selected narrators from their results page. There are a couple of popular narrators that I absolutely cannot listen to for hours on end, and I would prefer to never even be shown books that they have performed on. So many times I'd see an author I love and wonder why I hadn't picked that audiobook up, see the narrator, and then say "ohhhh, thats why"
I can't be the only one right? Why is this not a search feature?
I have Libby with multiple library cards, so nearly every book on audible besides the exclusives are free to me. Which audible only deals are worth getting?
First, to get this out of the way: Obviously there are plenty of good deals to be found in this sale. In a vacuum, it's not 'bad'.
However, as I looked through pages of deals I felt like the good ones were far thinner on the ground than before. I figured "Well, perhaps it's because I bought so much of the low-hanging fruit last time, or this is just rose tinted glasses" until I remembered I had a spreadsheet of books and prices from this time last year — books I passed up on that go around because I'd already spent a few hundred dollars on the sale and couldn't justify more. Looking at that spreadsheet, and comparing it to current prices these were the results:
56 books, across several genres and publishers.
8 decreased in price, 48 increased in price. 0 stayed the same.
Price decreases ranged from $0.20 to $0.40
Price increases ranged from $0.27 to $12.72
The average price increase was an addition of 5.64 to last year's price. Eliminating the extreme outliers on either end barely changed this figure.
Many books previously in the $3-5 range now cost more than, or roughly the same as, a credit (especially if you make use of the commonplace "12 credits for $99" deal). Overall, it seems like vanishingly few books are priced meaningfully lower than in last year's sitewide sale, while many are priced much higher. The caveat is of course that this is only 56 books, and despite the variety of genres and publishers it is still a sample biased towards my personal taste. It is quite possible that the sale is much better than last year's in some genres/categories underrepresented on my list (potential examples are: YA, romance, non-fiction). I'm curious whether others have observed something similar.
So I may be dumb but how do you create a cart?
I was looking at purchasing some books during the sale but each one I click on it wants to charge right away.
Do I need to be on computer versus the app?
Edit: Thanks everyone. Using a browser worked. Stupid you have to do that but I completed the purchase.
My membership has been on a hiatus and I was wondering if I can re-sub with Audible Plus to take advantage of the sale prices or is the site-wide sale only available with Premium Plus membership?
I started book 1 with straight narration and many are available both ways in plus catalog. With this site wide sale as I fill in blanks thanking about which way to buy.
Thanks for any advice on this series.
I was wondering if there is a way to see the discounted sale price for a book you already own. I’m trying to get my friend to listen to a series that I love but they are hesitant to spend their last credit on it so I was wondering how good of a deal there is on the book currently.
Sorry if the question is dumb but I’m really curious and sort of new in Audible… planning to buy a few books and “save” in the monthly plan since atm I have the 2 credits per month BUT if I take advantage NOW of the sale, I can be a few months without the credit subscription and save money in that way. What do you think?
Does this mean I get 3% of the next book early?
I just purchased a title, Mother of Learning, and the order had issues processing. The error message said the purchase would continue to process and would be available soon. That was about 4 hours ago and I figured it'd be cleared up by now but it's not. Went to go contact support through the app and I got the attached screenshot saying they are experiencing a high volume of calls. I was wondering if anyone else located in the United States is having issues with audible purchases at the moment. Purchase is already pending on my card.
I've gotten a new phone (same number) and I go to log in to my account and when I put in the password it just says, "contact customer service". When I go there it is just a default page that asked "what is the problem" ("idk you sent me here!") The only number that I have found to call don't work. So idk what the problem is. Has anyone dealt with this before
Reading about this great sale going on right now and wondering is that only in USA? Using the UK version it seems to suck. I have the 1 year subscription as it gives the cheapest credits when buying extra and the first 20 books I looked at are not cheaper than my credits.
