it's worth it? Does your story have a "closure"?
Season 2, episode 11.
My life's like a movie, my eye's like a uzi, Jacuzzi
I’m sure this has been discussed somewhere on this subreddit before but I’ll reiterate it for anyone that didn’t know like me.
Giving Atlanta my fifty-leventh rewatched and I finally decided to look into why Swiff wasn’t included after the first season. The actor was wrongfully convicted of child molestation in 2016 and served 3 years till his conviction was overturned in 2020. He maintained his innocence the entire time.
So unfortunate and I wonder what could’ve been of him had he stayed on the show. I’m not seeing anything recent from him but I hope he’s able to get back out there because I truly loved his character.
All the events that happened during the show were Darius imagination while he was underwater?
I think it was at Trilith Studios in Fayetteville but i honestly got no idea
Merry Xmas, MFs!!! 🔥🌳💨
Nando’s is good but my friends always joke about it sending folks to the crapper.
I recently introduced my wife to Atlanta and since it was my 2nd watch and we essentially binged it over a week, I found I noticed and understood a lot more references than I did the first time round (my wife didn’t get most of them, just like me on my first watch). Specifically, the invisible car, the cancel club, the Central Park 5 and some other stuff.
My question is this; based on the last episode and how much stuff happens that shouldn’t be able to happen (invisible car), isn’t it entirely likely that it did end with D still in the tank? Also, I always believed that some of the references I wasn’t supposed to get because it’s not my culture, is that correct?
Can anyone suggest any other good parts that may have gone over my head? I didn’t even get the time jump between S2 and S3 the first time around, I just thought that Clark County got deported back home after the fiasco at the airport and Earn got Paper Boi the headline slot.
Cheers!
I rewatched it for the first time since it ended. When I was watching season 3 it hit me, this is currently the best show that has similar undertones to boondocks. I think this was what Donald Glover was going for an absolutely amazing show👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
I haven’t even finished the last three episodes just so i can tell myself there’s something left to watch.
Its the funniest fuckin moment in the show I was crying for like an hour straight
Movie is called "The Fire Inside" and it actually has positive early reviews! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6133444/
I think I'll be checking it out over the holidays to support our mans. Claressa Shields is dope too as a combat sports fan
The first 30 seconds I was like “this ain’t it”, then I kept listening to it and got hook’s to it.
Watching atlanta was some of my favorite days. It was an amazing escape. I can’t put this type of television in words, the escape was REAL.
When I hit start that’s it I forget about my life and the world and COMPLETELY immersed in their world. It’s like I’m some invisible guy following them around andwatching them live their lives. The show never once pulled me out of the trance. It was such a good show that I tried to elongate the experience that I played only one episode a day.
Help me out… I’m lookin for the word to describe this show. And what other shows is like this?
Hoping to try this.
So can anyone actually explain to me who was who in the teddy Perkins episode, even 5 months im still lost
Dreams and The Hands that Lift Us Up.
Basically what it says up there
Why isn’t there gonna be season 5
Consciously making the moral decision of re-watching “Atlanta” Series by Donald Glover, AGAIN. It was too damn good. I found myself obsessing over Darius at one point. I never seen somebody as handsome as Lakeith…and his personality. Don’t even get me started. I’ve never seen anything like it.
I just don’t get why Earn would work for like a creative company as like an average person when he is a successful industry manager? Specifically thinking about season 4 episode 3 “born to die”.
