Dedicated to all that is Aston Martin. Love them for the elegance and class, the jet speed Formula One, the cinema history, or just the British pride.

Pre owned DB11 or Vanquish?

Looking at 2016-2018 Vanquishs and 2018-2020 DB11s.

That Vanquish hits different. Little more expensive but not always. Depending on miles and yr/packages etc.

Thoughts?

DFW Mechanic

I am thinking of buying a Rapide. As they are older, I do not want to use the dealership. Does anyone know of an independent shop in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area they recommend?

I read a manual....

My new to me 2020 DB11 AMR (US) didn't come with an owner's manual. I finally found one to download, and I'm sitting here reading it and learning a bunch! For example, there are THREE (3) ways to open the trunk, the door button, the key fob button and ... by swiping your foot under the bumper! What?! Not being able to open the trunk was one of those complaints I kept hearing in youtube review videos.

So I grabbed my keys, ran outside and couldn't get it to work. :(

Has anyone else tried this and gotten it to work? (It's under Hands-Free Access, 2.8 Vehicle Security)

80s Lagonda rear brakes

So I noticed yesterday looking at a photo that the 80s Lagonda's rear brake rotors and calipers are near the midline of the car, rather than out at the wheels.

Is that a common design in cars? What are some other cars that are designed like that?

A newbie question

As I approach my retirement in 420 days, the gift to myself will be a "f you" car that is fully paid off and not a daily driver. My current Top 3 are:

  1. Lamborghini Urus Perfomante
  2. Aston Martin DBX707
  3. Porsche 911 Turbo S

I know 3 is very different from 1 and 2. My question for folks:

- Can I option a DBX with heads up display?

- If you had to choose, which one would you pick (know there is an inherent bias on the forum).

My daily driver will be my BMW M8 Gran Coupe.

Finished with Aston Martin Q New York and the personalization. This will be the first time ordering a Car (my 4th Aston) never having seen the car itself or really the color. Currently my two favorites are the Orange Start button and the Orange V12. Fingers crossed it looks as good in person!

• Orange Anodized Start/Stop Rotary
• Vanquish Quilt added to Centre Armrest *Match to Stitch

Aston Martin DBS transport

Hi all. Just got a new family member from out of state. I’m PNW and she’s in TX. Dealer’s suggesting First Class Auto Transport to my local AM dealership. I’m sure it’s fine, but as this is my first experience, I’m looking for things to be aware of: anyone used them before? Specific details of the process? It will be enclosed. Do’s/dont’s.. Excited to meet her in person! TIA

Issue with my vantage

Basically the trunk cover fell out, and I can't put it back in, the car has warranty and my local Aston dealer has been very hard to get a hold of and communicate properly to see if they can fix under warranty I've just been letting it sit in my trunk for like 4 month since it happened but now its bothering me and I wanna get it fixed. Has anyone else had their trunk cover fall off?

DB11 or Vantage and why?

I am in the market for either. Just in the research mode. Looking for low mileage 2019-2021 range.

Prefer the V12.

Why does Aston Martin have Nordic names?

I’m a fan of the brand, and want to know if there’s a backstory to the current Nordic branding?
