My family was scattered to the winds until Sunday and I’d love to find and green-egg a turkey this coming weekend.
Does anyone know where I can find an unfrozen turkey in the Tampa Bay Area?
If this is a double post, I apologize in advance. I posted once before but didn’t see it show up.
I am a nail tech, with an active LLC. My friend is an esthetician and she plans to get an LLC as well.
We’re planning on signing a commercial lease together. Expenses that has to do with the space will be split 50/50, but anything for our specific business will be separate.
On the application for a salon license, it asks for: • owners / percentage of ownership. (Got it)
• name of business (would we need a different name, instead of choosing one of our LLC name?)
• EIN (so this is the one I’m confused about. Since we’d each have our own EIN with our LLCS, what would we put for the salon license EIN?)
Extra question if anyone knows: I am a gel-only nail tech; no fumes from monomer. I also use very little acetone, so my workspace doesn’t emit much smells. One of the requirements for a salon, is to have adequate ventilation. Is there any way around this since I don’t do acrylic?
TIA!
Hi there, I have BCBS and am looking for therapist recommendations that can see me online only. Dealing with chronic depression and anxiety and have been working with different therapists for years, but my anxiety has just gotten worse. I am already seeing a psychiatrist and am on antidepressants and ADHD meds. I’ve only done normal talk therapy, so i’m thinking of doing EDMR or any other form of therapy. I’m 24 and am a full time professional student. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Title's pretty cut and dry...
Minors shouldn't be and because they could be in finding out very distasteful and feel as though I myself shouldn't be using it
Hey all, I don't live in state, but my older parents do. After spending a year in a rental, they've come to find out that the house is full of what appears to be black mold (which is currently being tested for confirmation). This is after a year of them dealing with consistent sinus infections, headaches and their dogs' hacking.
The landlord uses a realtor as a middleman. The realtor is basically useless and can't be bothered to deal with issues. The owners are non-responsive and cheap. they hired a plumber to come out to look at a leak who uncovered the initial infestation and then released him to hire someone cheaper to continue the work, only to find more mold...and currently, the "job" has been left stagnant for over a week with the owners and realtor non-responsive.
Anyway, I'm basically trying to figure out what I/we can do at the moment to put some pressure on the owners via legal action to remedy the situation. If anyone has suggestions as to where I can report them or what tenants' rights to utilize, etc I'd be appreciative.
Edit: Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
I thought it be a cool thing to do with my father for next summer. Some of the guided hunts are super expensive though and I'm not big into paying a 2 grand for two people to go for one time experience. Are there any other guided hunts that don't break the bank?
My husband and I are wondering if we could receive some advice on which places in FL might be a good fit for us.
We’re in our early 30s, have kids, and are currently deciding between Orlando (near Winter Park), St. Pete, or Sarasota.
We work remotely and our budget for a home is 500-600k. We would like to have space for a small garden, and ideally, a pool. We’d like to be in a neighborhood with mature trees and nice sidewalks so it’s easy to go for a run, etc.
A few things we want access to:
We don’t really care about access to shopping and we don't drink, so bars are irrelevant for us. Going to Disney might be nice but we’re not big Disney people so I couldn’t imagine us going weekly like some people do.
We would love to be near the beach as we love swimming, but recently seeing the damage from Helene/Milton, we are wondering if it makes sense to be more inland, like in Orlando.
Any insight is appreciated. :)
Any recommendations where I could take my kids on vacation for the winter break (we don't celebrate Christmas) this would their first vacation and I wanna make it special for them they are from age 2-10 we would be doing drive so we could have car to go to place we need hoping to drive at least 10 hrs we live in Florida . 3-4 day max so if someone could say place and what there's to do highly appreciate.
Hi all. Myself and my family are on holiday in Florida and had/have a hire car. Last night we were involved in a 3 car collision (not our fault) where we came to a stop behind traffic and someone hit us at about 60-70mph. We are very lucky to have nothing broken, probably lucky to be alive. We have been in touch with an attorney who advised us that it’s almost pointless to pursue anything legal because our medical bills are covered by either holiday insurance or our car insurance, and because we have no long lasting injury, only the immediate effects like whiplash. Although I’ve been told that Florida is a no-fault state, I think we should be entitled to some compensation for what happened? We all have whiplash and bruising all over. We had to get another hire car and we’re suffering while on holiday. Can there be any compensation claimed from somewhere?
Edit to update Ok I get where you’re all coming from, I don’t have life changing injuries, shit happens, get on with it. That’s fine, I was asking for advice and I’ve got it so no worries.
In the UK we do things a bit differently, there is fault and you claim off the other person’s insurance rather than your own. You get compensation even if it’s just whiplash.
I wanted to also add
This crash wasn’t just a little bump, it completely flipped one car and smashed up the back of a brand new £80k jeep. It was serious. There were fire crew out, 4 ambulances and police there. We are lucky to have not had more serious injuries and if we were in an older and smaller car the outcome would’ve been massively different. It’s only for the fact it was a new wrangler that we were relatively ok.
Spotted this today. It’s plastic paneling you can just take down after a flood and dry out, then pop back on… has anyone actually used this? And why wouldn’t you just use pool noodles instead of insulation?

Considering moving from a bitter cold state to Florida and I work as a therapist with kids, teens, and adults. Wondering what the need is in Florida and how hard it would be to find clients! I’d love to live within an hour or closer to the ocean, what’s spots would be best? Thanks in advance!
We have a property that is next door to an unsavory bunch of individuals who seem to likely be meth addicts/dealers. The place looks condemned. Pit bulls roam free. Yard looks like a garbage dump and I'm being nice. It's an absolute eyesore, not to mention health and safety issues. Other neighbors have complained and say they've been even been swatted a few times. I would love to report them to the city but don't want my name and address on file. Any recommendations on how to deal with such individuals?
Trying to find news about it without success. Do you know if any member of the Mas family endorse Trump during the 2024 campaign?
Hi there, I am buying out my car lease. I have been quoted some fees regarding transfering the title and registration of upwords of $900 for both processes. When I look up the rates on the FLHMV site, it's like less than $200??? Does anyone know if I just get a loan to pay for the lease buyout and sales tax, then just go to a DMV and do the transfers myself for the prices listed? I don't see the fee for a "transfer" of a registration or a title. So I'm super confused.
The kicker here too is that I have to do this by the 20th of Nov as the car is due to turn in and already went through the extensions...long story as for the last minute. Aggressive change in life plans overnight.
Miami vs Tampa vs Fort Lauderdale for work and personal life?
Hi all,
I plan to move to Florida next year.
I currently live in the Midwest in a small—to mid-sized city, and while I love my city, I cannot stand the six to eight months of grey and cold that occur every year. As I continue to grow my business, I want to move somewhere with community, charm, authenticity, and ample opportunity.
I have a small business (professional service provider helping small businesses and startups). My team is remote, and our business development is 75% remote and 25% in-person (mostly because my city is not particularly entrepreneurship-friendly).
I'm a millennial. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors and in nature—hiking, traveling, and working out (running, yoga, weightlifting). I live alone and make enough money to live in any of these cities. I am dating casually but want to settle down eventually.
I'm trying to understand which city will be best for my work and personal life and where I can find a balance. Thanks for all your help!
I'm renting a 3 bedroom house and I have a partner visiting often. On my lease it doesn't say anything about guests having a time restrictions such as 14 days etc. But it does say the house shall be occupied by no more than 1 occupant without the writen consent of the lessor.
My partner doesn't intent to "Live" or pay rent because they already have a house in another state but works remotely so they can stay more than a month at a time with me.
My concern is the landlord asking for a background check or application? My partner doesn't have anything to tie them in this state.
What are best case scenarios?
Also, I pay water/electricity. Landlord pays nothing that I can think of that partner would use that could be reasonable enough to charge extra.
My mother also want to visit for 2 weeks. I should be able to have guests without having to always notify the landlord?
*Sarcasm // What if break up with partner and have a new one, do I have to keep telling the landlord all the time?
I'm in tampa and want to know who is the best and who should I stay away from getting my card tomorrow hopefully and need recommendations
Dallas Texas voted to decriminalize marijuana despite the state of Texas keeping weed and shrooms illegal. If almost half the states can violate federal law by legalizing weed and not suffer legal action, why not at least cities like Orlando or Miami vote to legalize weed?
I am trying to hire a mold remediation company in FL. My concern is general liability and workmans comp. The first company I got a quote from said they. Will be having a team do the work, but that they are under a workmans comp exemption. When I looked that up online, it says it only applies to construction companies with one employee… but how is it possible for them to have a team and an exemption at the same time? How can I find out if I will be liable for workmans comp claims if I hire them?
I'd like to do a kayaking trip and the steinhatchee river looks good. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how long it would take to do the whole 34 Miles. And is there any other obstacles that could stop me halfway through.
king von, lil double 0, pooh shiesty, lil wayne kind of vibes. fast and loud. recommend ghetto shake the car songs thanks!!
It’s occurred to me that just a few days after Milton rode us hard then put us up wet, our Governor was out on the road campaigning to prevent weed from being legal (why?) and abortion to stay unavailable (why?). Is that what he really thinks his constituents care about or need from him just after yet another natural disaster? We have so many problems that really need his help to solve, why choose abortion and weed to scream about??
Maybe I’m being dramatic when I think that many of us are struggling to recover from a hurricane or navigate how to pay rent or maybe some of us still have to canoe home.
Leave a comment on here that illustrates a real life crisis that you’re currently trying to figure out how to live through. Something that’s more important to you than someone smoking weed or choosing their healthcare plan.
