Wendy's Hot Sauce that comes with their chili?

My Dad really likes the hot sauce that you can get with Wendy's chili, but my Mom heard a rumor it was being discontinued -- does anyone know if that's true? Also, are there any like, grocery store products that are very similar? Something we can just buy to keep at the house/on hand? Thanks!

What's the deal with cups of water?

Why can't I just get a cup of water? I'll gladly pay full price for a drink, I just want water. I don't want a bottle of water. I want a cup, with ice, with a straw, of water. Why is that such an issue nowadays? Seems like an impossible request anymore.

method on popeyes chicken prep?

Hello hard working Popeyes employees who make the best chicken and biscuits ever! I want to know the process of how the classic chicken is prepped and I think this following method below is right, but I want some confirmation.

I'm trying to make a copycat recipe of Popeyes thru internet detective work. I do not expect a recipe or ingredients list (even though its welcome) as laws in the us only require to list allergens, or list "spices" in the nutrition facts to conceal a secret recipe. However I'm pretty sure I found a legit ingredients list on the internet that is on the mixture packs you guys get in your restaurants. It just doesn't say the amounts of each but I dont really care. If I have success, I will happily post the recipe on this sub and other subs of my knockoff Popeyes recipe. I will not copyright it or have no care in being credited and you can post it on tiktak, facef**k, instascam, or whatever. I just want poor people like me to enjoy fried chicken.

the possible method:

take chicken, toss it in spice mix

put the chicken in the cooler for 12 hours or more

after marination, toss chicken in wet batter, then toss in dry flour, tap excess in the clean bucket

put in deep fryer for 12 min at 340 degrees

is there a step I am misssing?

What safe guards are on a walk in freezer door?

I got a second job at a fast food place and no one ever explained to me what to do if the freezer door gets stuck/locked. That is one of my worst fears.

I thought about just jamming the door while I was in there with a box or something but if someone came in while I was in there that would be a really awkward conversation lol.

I know most have emergency releases or thermostats inside but no one explained to me where they are or how to use them.

The place I work at has a double door situation going on where you have to walk in to the fridge, then open another door to get into the freezer. This does not help my fear lol

First job and not going well

Hi,

I'm 19 and recently got my first job at Mcdonald's this past month from applying online and was called in for an interview, which really wasn't an interview it was more like a fill out your availability and we can have you in for training type of vibe from the hiring manager. Let me know if I am saying anything wrong because mind you, I have no experience in fast food at all since I was always discouraged as a teenager that I was provided for so "I don't need a job because we're working, we're not poor". I should have taken the time to avoid issues now, but I am still in training and having trouble whenever I start my shift, especially in the mornings.

When I first started they had me watch videos and and answer questions via the assessment, and that went pretty ok for the most part, a lot of reading, but reading itself won't do it as I'm someone who needs to watch and have on-hand exposure to things. The next 2 days after that, I started my first shift for training, and the manager there at the time seemed understanding at first and welcomed me, then suddenly I went to wait in the back for assistance because I was new and didn't know my way around, I go to her and she starts getting upset and said she cannot train me when I have the wrong pair of sneakers on and if I were to slide down it would cause issues. Which was a lack of preparation on my part, so I went to Walmart to get a pair of black sneakers over the place and when I came back I asked the manager if she was supposed to be training me because the hiring manager told me she was supposed to train me today, then she directs me to another worker and the worker doesn't have me do anything but watch.

I wasn't assigned any tasks yet, and then the manager who was supposed to train me came and says that I needed to be participating (mind you I do not know how to use a register or work the order screen yet) and the girl who I am watching nods but doesn't let me do anything, until this one order and she tells me to listen and press the apps. She doesn't show me which is which, and suddenly we have to stop because we have to go right back to the front to make an order.

They were very busy that day so I wait for her to tell me what I needed to do so I wouldn't mess any orders up and the assistant managers gets really upset and yells to the workers "Can someone help her please?! She doesn't know she's doing! We have customers waiting and they are thinking of someone who's not doing their job they don't care about this training, they don't see the training!" and they told me I cannot just stand there and have to do something, when I was all over the place trying to understand what was actually going on. I didn't want to make a terrible mistake or anything, so I just started helping without any knowledge of what I was doing, asking questions along the way.

The afternoon it calmed down a little bit because the other manager came and the assistant manager told her I had a rough morning and I got thrown all over the place and she asked if the other girl trained me properly and I said she went a little too fast, and the manager nodded and said "exactly...so please show her". I got trained at the drive thru window the rest of the day and it went pretty smoothly, but gave out a few wrong orders because the workers told me to not check the bags, that all the bags were in order but crictized me when they found out it wasn't the right order for the cars, especially since the mobile order cars swapped in place of the regular ones.

The same hectic thing happened last Thursday with the morning shift and the training, because I still am in training and I made many customers upset by being new to the cash register, and was left alone when the managers only showed me a few buttons. It was even more so insane because I had never used a cash register before, and the mix of anxiety the customers told me I gave them the wrong change. I was laughed at by a lot of older people and was degraded for how young I look and how new I was because everyone in my town knows each other very closely. No one is being direct with me on my shift with how to do certain things and it makes me feel dumb and like I don't belong.

I am not sure I want to go back to work, I have another shift on this Thursday, but I really need help like if there are any apps that have cash register practice or McDonalds ordering screen practice. I tried to download one that was called the McDonalds POS Training Game but it is not available within my device and not compatible. Any thing would help. I am really confused and lost.

Why are drive thru times ridiculous the staple fast food restuarants?

Someone explain to me how I can get a whole cheesesteak with all the fixins' and chicken wings through Charley's Cheesesteaks drive thru in less than 5 minutes (and it's GREAT quality), but yet will spend over 15 minutes in any other driver thru for a heat lamp burger and mushy fries....

It doesn't make any sense. I once spent 10 minutes waiting in line before I was even able to order my food at a Wendy's with ONE car in front of me and no one inside the establishment.

Yet Charley's.... consistently speedy for non-traditional fast food items.

Someone explain why it takes 15 minutes for a simple burger and fries combo.

Whats up with falafels?

Okay so I'm from Serbia and I tried falafel at 2 places (fast food) and It's very different from how I make them home. I watched many videos and I don't really follow recipes when it comes to exact measures but the essentials are there. When I taste fast food falafel I don't taste any parsley or garlic or onion. It feels like they dilute the taste, I would say that falafel has a bold taste since its packed with seasonings and herbs but the fast food ones are mild. Its like im eating a bread with a bit more flavor.

Harri

Hi, does anyone have experience with harri.com? I'm applying to a fast food place through harri.com and, after my interview, they told me they'd approve me and I'd do my right-to-work check through Harri. But that was a couple days ago and I haven't heard anything from them or Harri. Is that normal? Do I just need to keep waiting?

Why do FF places ask you to pull forward when no one is behind you in line?

I feel like this is happening more often, but is it to help the average of the time it takes to serve people? If so, and the system is that easy to game, what’s the point?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but...

How did Ray kroc and mcdonald's work between 1955 and 1961 when he fully bought it out work, he franchised locations but wasn't he also ceo? How do you franchise your own chain, and is it true he had rights to the brand in all the US except arizona and California where locations already existed by then?

How’d my tongue get cut

I stopped at Harvey’s for dinner yesterday and the guy looked very suspicious when he gave me my food. After eating a few fries I felt a pain in my tongue so I looked in my cars mirror to see that my tongue was bleeding I had not bit it but it felt like it was sliced open and it actually bled for a while. What could he have put in/on my fries that I couldn’t see that would cut my tongue and can it cause disease or infection or something?

Do people drive past your speaker box?

I work at a small coffee chain that has a drive-thru and cafe. There's a huge menu, but people drive past it and go straight to the window to order sometimes. It's annoying and I'm wondering, does this happen at larger fast food chains?

Tips on new hires remembering the menu?

i just turned 18 and this is my first fast food job, i’ve worked in other fields just not this one. i just had my first day of training and i’m extremely overwhelmed. i’m good at remembering things, and getting the hang of them, i learned how to tattoo at 15, now in an apprenticeship for it; so you kinda get the gist. i was tested on my memory for making certain things, this job is a frozen custard place, so specifically shakes, concretes, sundaes etc. i’m worried i won’t work as efficiently in time. i don’t want to stress anyone out. all of my employees are roughly in my age group. remembering the menu and how to make every single thing is so overwhelming and i really don’t want to f this up. the menu is HUGE, and everyone is so good at it, even though we’re severely understaffed, my manager was taking in interviews while training me. any tips for remembering things? or helping with this sinking paranoia?

Cinnabon Employees

A recent experience at Cinnabon left me really curious to understand if I’m remembering things wrong or if this is really how it has always been…

To make a really long story shorter, I went to purchase a pack of 6 Cinnabons but was told in a nutshell that the 6 pack buns are never sold fresh and only from the night before.

If I want fresh buns I would have to purchase them at the individual price and have them individually boxed.

Can anyone working at Cinnabon shed some light on this for me please? I’m trying to wrap my head around why customers would have no other choice than to purchase buns from the night before.

Thanks 😊😊

Is it generally the responsibility of the customer to make sure that their order is correct at a drive thru?

I wouldn't think it is but maybe others do. I started making it a habit to check, despite how simple or complex the order is only because I've been stiffed so many times with the wrong order by the time I got home. Every now and then, I'll laps and take the word for it and almost always regret it.

Today, I went to Chick-fil-A. I ordered a grilled nugget entre and a spicy deluxe sandwich entree. I didn't think they can mess this up. I got my food and started pulling out. Then I had a thought that made me check the bag as I was well past the drive-thru window. Lo and behold, they gave me regular nuggets with a grilled club sandwich. It turned into a shitshow with me trying to get their attention while holding up everybody behind me because I wanted my order right. Eventually, one of the employees noticed and ran up to me to switch out my order.

I just want to know if I was in the wrong here because I did not confirm the order before I took off. In my opinion, especially with the prices being paid, it should be the full responsibility of the restaurant to make sure the order is correct. To be honest, I think they should have done more than just switch out my order. It's not that I want free food for the sake of free food and being a Karen, it's that I believe I shouldn't have to double check the food that I ordered after paying a premium for just two items.

Perhaps if they gave some sort of free food vouchers every time they mess up an order, they'll get the future orders correct.

Does Freddy’s offer daily pay

Or next day pay? Being paid biweekly kind of sucks so I was seeing if there was another option.

There is something i don't understand when i was ordering in Jollibee

When I went to Jollibee to order a sundae the cashier told me that the sundae wasn't available but the coke float was. It makes no sense because the coke float also uses the same machine as the sundae. And I can also see an employee using it to serve someone a sundae. Is there a reason for this or is the worker just lazy?

KFC closing (aus)

Im have been working for 6 months now, I get a lot of closing shifts both front of house and middle of house (doing dishes, cleaning burger station and ect)

Everyone seems to finish their close really early like 30 minutes after the store closes.

I feel like im slow and I need tips on how to close more faster for both front of house and middle house closes. As well as what managers usually care/not care abt.

I've been to work only 7 days and I want to back out...

I started working at Burger King as a team member on the 4th of July this year. I worked only maybe a couple days a week for a few weeks and now they want to schedule me more hours. That would be great, but I had a rough day and now I kind of want to quit. Several customers got frustrated with me. My manager got annoyed that I wasn't handing out crowns at the drive through, but when I do most customers (usually older folks) take offense to the gesture.

I admit I have a bad habit of backing out of things the moment they get hard, but if anyone has any words of encouragement or advice I would greatly appreciate it!
