Please be very aware that Fairbanks has some of the most intense weather that can change completely in a matter if minutes. The slightest miscalculation can lead to extremely hazardous situations. Take suggestions with a grain of salt, and make sure to do more investigating. Always plan for a life threatening situation and be ready to self-rescue.

Hi, I am planning a trip to Alaska in late March and have always dreamed of being in the arctic circle! Is this a realistic thing to try and plan? What might my options be?
Hey Fairbanks! I (26M) am visiting family in Fairbanks this week (I’m from England) and would love to go on some hiking or cycling trips but don’t feel comfortable being alone.
Is there somewhere I could find possible partners or is anyone in here happy to join or make any recommendations?
Thank you!
Trying to decide whether my sister and i should take a day or night time dog sled tour. During the day we can see better but the night time tour is twice as expensive and it will be dark, but perhaps the aurora can be seen? Not sure which option to pick
