I record under the name “water through your open hands”. My new EP “the sun went down but the ground is still warm” came out today. Influences range from Bright Eyes to Coma Cinema, DIIV, etc. Thanks for listeningggg
My band is opening up for Hotline TNT at Static Age on Wed Nov 20, would love to see some folks come through! If you're unfamiliar, Hotline TNT are kinda shoegaze-y, alternative, noise-rock-y etc and it should be a fun time! They put out a record last year on Third Man Records that is really solid.
Tickets at staticagenc.com <3
Featuring over 270 musicians from Western North Carolina and beyond. Download it for $10 on Bandcamp, with all proceeds going to Beloved Asheville
WNC strong! Thanks to all contributing to rescue and relief after Helene.
It was released October 1, scheduled before Hurricane Helene was known.
It sounds like a mix of CAKE, Grandaddy, Ween, and Weezer.
Please listen, share, add to playlists! Much, much appreciated.

46M looking for semi-experienced musicians who want to play loud, noisy stuff in the vein of: Warsaw, iceage, unwound, preoccupations, etc. I am in Hendersonville and have my own set. I grew up in the PNW (Olympia and Seattle) and am very influenced by the music from there. I have played in bands and toured, but not super seriously. Would love to play covers at first. Queer friendly and anarchist leaning preferred.
Have a band forming, cut in the style of 90’s angular guitar music, alternate tunings, psychedelia, noise, punk, and the like. Polvo, Sonic youth, Drive Like Jehu, Jesus Lizard, Bardo Pond…all would qualify as touchstone influences. We have amassed a circus of different gear and are really beginning to dig into writing with the intentions of recording and playing live locally and regionally. If you’re drawn to this type of music I won’t say much more. DM me to discuss.
Hi all! I may need to sell 2 tickets I have for this show😕. I’m super sad but if anyone is interested let me know. Show is September 14 at Rabbit Rabbit and sold out.
Howdy folks! My name's Kyle, I'm a keys player who recently moved to Asheville, and I'd love to find folks to either jam with or, ideally, are in need of a keys player for gigs.
My primary genres are funk, bluegrass/country, and electronic.
Cheers!

We’re playing 27 Club on Sept 15th and want two local Asheville bands to join us. Check us out on streaming or Instagram to see if we’re a good fit and reach out if you’re interested. Thanks!
I’m a banjo player and I’m planning a solo trip to Asheville next month. I’ll be staying in the river arts district but I’m open to exploring outside of the city as well. Does anyone know of any bluegrass jams I could check out?
