Its not really art prize, but I'm reaching out to the art community of grand rapids for some help

tl;dr - Please save my wife's senior art show. We just found out today the office did not send out her postcard invitations and are worried nobody is going to show.

Hello GR folk of reddit. My wife is having her senior art show this Thursday from 5-7 in the PAC gallery at GVSU. She just found out today that the school office did not send out the postcards she gave them weeks ago to the faculty and staff of the art department and many will not be able to make it now because of such short notice. She has been working really hard on this show and it would be crushing to have low turnout at the reception because of a clerical error.

The show is free admission and will have some food and drink available. If you want to see her work beforehand please go to elronan.com to check it out. (Please don't take this as a slimy way to get traffic to her site, nothing is even for sale on there right now).

I will link a scanned version of her postcard, that if you print out and put on your car dashboard, will allow you to park in GVSU lot K and not get ticketed during the reception.

From the bottom of our hearts, so many thanks if you can make it or can spread to word to others and save the day she that she has poured a years worth of work into.

EDIT: There is no bad guy here. Some people are assuming I am pointing fingers or assigning blame. I am not. The GVSU office did a great deal in promoting the show and there was a single miscommunication at the end of a particularly emotional day and I wanted to help any way I could. My wife was very worried about low attendance and I dont really have many freinds in the area to ask to come so went to reddit for support. Thank you all who have decided to come, we look forward to seeing you there.

How many Redditors are ArtPrize participants?

ArtPRize 2015: I would imagine there should be some commonality. No need to identify yourself if you'd rather not, but more of a show of hands would be interesting. As of this writing, there are 1,384 and I am one of them.

Feel free to use it if you wish. I was simply bored and so I started doodling and came up with this and thought I would share it with everyone else :)

Take that, Grand Rapids

My family and I went to the John Ball Zoo this afternoon. At the end of the day I stopped in the bathroom. Someone had really stunk it up and was beating on the TP roll box in a stall. Just before I left he said, "Take that, Grand Rapids." I waited outside to see who it was and to check if he had actually broken anything. As he walked by, I noticed he had an ArtPrize voting number on his shirt. It was one of the artists who had made the top 25, but not the top 10. I guess he was pissed about not making it and decided to take out his frustrations on the zoo bathroom. Understandable.

*** Edit: Artist's name removed to avoid embarrassment he doesn't really deserve.
