It is the roaring 20‘s, and while there’s electricity in the air, unnatural storms are brewing as well. Strange things are happening in the small Massachusetts town of Arkham; people have gone missing, sightings of indescribable creatures grow more and more frequent. And the very air thickens with a sense of foreboding that roils like an acrid mist through the streets.
The Ancient Ones are stirring...

Terrific Podcast set in the world of HP Lovecraft. Been going on since 2019, first series is The Case of Charles Dexter Ward.

1- An encounter tells me to take a monster that is not in the monster deck, do I take it anyway and put it on the map? If so, after being defeated does it go to the monster deck or do I return it to the box?
2 - If an encounter card tells an investigator to buy an item that someone already has, what happens?
We've tried to play with two characters and multi hand with 4 characters (2 characters for each) which felt kinda easier during action phase but really frustrating during myth phase So which is the best amount of players/ characters and does it really easier with 4 characters or 2?
I didn't know that the third edition was a thing that existed (sorry). I was too excited in the store and bought the Dead of Night expansion. I own the second edition and the possibility that they wouldn't be compatible didn't cross my mind at all.
This is all to ask -- can I play Dead of Night with 2e?
Hi everyone,
I just picked up Murder at the Excelsior Hotel as my first standalone scenario! I've previously played The Dunwich Legacy and The Path to Carcosa. I’m curious about the deck-building rules for standalone scenarios. Do you start with a typical basic deck, or can you build freely and jump right into the scenario?
Thanks for your help!
Hi, all. We've just beat an Azatot scenario in a first time, which one we should pick next? Or it's really doesn't matter after beating the first scenario?
I have the core, all investigators starter decks, D.Legacy and Carcosa investigator and campaign expansions. My question is, Do I need to buy all the next investigator expansions to beat the next campaign expansions?
For the rest of the year, I can afford one investigator and one campaign expansion or two campaign expansions. Which option will bring me more fun?
I'm removing the rubber bands and placing everything in bags.
1st Edition/2nd Edition
Question: if you have the 2nd Edition and want to characters/monsters from the 1E; all I would need is to buy MoM 1E and then just download the conversions for the character cards/ monster tokens and items correct?
Also, the board tiles, you can use the tiles from MoM 1E for MoM 2E, So I would be set? Or am I missing something?
I just purchased all the expansions for MoM 2E and new to this. I know I’m late to the game as two of the expansions are no longer available except on EBay for a heavy price. Is there another way for me to get those without eBay or pdf/printing? Example: Can I purchase MoM the first edition and change things around or? Appreciate any help I can get as I’m obsessed with the game!
Hello! We have run into a question regarding the board game I cant seem to find the answer to.
Spoilers for the expansion Under Dark Waves!
Specifically Carson Sinclair's talent As You Wish - can this copy any action another investigator does, including new actions supplied by allies, spells, etc? How about innate ability actions, like Charlue Kanes Task Force, can he copy that too?
Big thanks for the help!
Codex 139 says to take 2 markers of 3 different colors, including green. Codex 140 flips when it has 2 colors on it, so possibly only 1 green token. Codex 143 flips when there are 3 green markers on it. Where are the 2nd and 3rd green markers coming from?
If this monster attacks you are delayed. So you can't attack on your turn to defend yourself. So it attacks again on its turn, delaying you again. Without any actions to kill it off, you're stuck in a cycle of permanent delayed until it eventually kills you. This doesn't seem correct.
Hey guys I have lost the “Deja Vu” card does anyone have an image of the front and back of that card?
It's been years since the last expansion, Secrets of the Order, was released. It was strongly implied that they had something else planned with the Gateways deck, but there's been mum about it since then. Instead, the focus seems to be entirely on the card game. I know that it's a big seller, but have they just written off the board game? I heard on another post that there was a regime change at FFG, is that part of it?

Pretty much the title - I've seen some people on youtube have blue translucent plastic elder sign discs, which they put down on a location when it has been sealed. I have bought some gate holders and I think getting my hands on these elder sign discs would really add to the asthetic.
I'm in the UK and own Dunwich, Kingsport and Lurker at the Threshold. Looking to get the other expansions too! Love this game
Thank youu
sorry for picture quality - screenshot from youtube!
No I cannot see any no etsy :(
December 13th, 1919: “Skids” is sentenced to ten years in the Massachusetts prison system for bank robbery.
You can read more about the history of "Skids" O'toole in my lore dive of the Night of the Zealot investigators.
I have Arkham 2nd and 3rd (and the card game, but was hoping for more players). I was wondering if there were any Christmas themed fan Scenarios to try out. I did a little searching and didn't find any asides from the card game.
Seems like it would translate really well to a video game format. Plus playing with friends long distance would be cool, and less time for set-up.
I imagine Tabletop Sim has some sort of equivalent, but let's be honest Tabletop Sim can be really finnicky.
Has anyone made templates to create your own monsters or items for 3E?
I'm addicted to the arkham horror board game and want to make a roguelite expansion to it and need help figuring out how to make that work
