What we will be discussing:
A place to share information on emergency preparedness as it relates to disasters both natural and man-made.
Would you survive in the event of economic, political and social collapse? What natural disasters such as tornadoes, earthquakes or hurricanes are prevalent in your area? What can you do? What should you be doing now? What do you need to know/have?
This is a community for those who think that it's better to be safe than sorry, and that we need to start preparing now.
The wiki has some good information for new preppers.

I'm a veteran looking for like minded folks who would like to meet up once a month and build a community and do some medical training amongst other training like long term food storage etc.... preppers have a tendency to be the kind of people who have little problems being alone. But I feel we can learn a lot from each other and maybe develop friendships and build trust to assist each other and our local communities in the time of need. And of course practice "airsoft" tactics. I look forward to talking and meeting with you in the near future.
I'm still learning but could use some answers.
Any one still in this
So I'm originally from southern Louisiana and now living in the Ozarks. I'm starting all over again and have no clue what's a good out hear and can put up with snow or the random heavy rain storms.
Any suggestions is helpful and welcome.
My name is Victoria. I live in Arkansas. I’m interested in building alliances with other neighbors in the area. Anyone else interested in networking among preppers?
I lost my home to huricane Ida and relocated to this area. So what am I in for ? I like it so far.
Here are some photos a friend of mine snapped during a curiosity run to Walmart. Apollo kept crashing, so I’m just going to post them individually.
It's here in Lowell. Also nearby are several gunships and the like. Pretty nice people running most of them and the Sigma Six guys are pretty cool as well.
Any ideas for things that could be incorporated into a new home construction? We are having to excavate land on a hillside, so I was thinking about building a panic room/tornado shelter type room. I’ve thought about a whole house generator but not sure on the cost for that vs just having a smaller portable generator.
A year or two back, I was in Little Rock and saw a billboard advertising about a prepped show/convention at the civic center, I believe. I had missed it by 3 days. Do they have one every year, or was this a one time thing? Thanks.
This week, the boy and I cut and split a bunch of wood. I went to the store and bought a week’s worth of food, because that’s how we do, and my wife just had our baby girl. A buddy of mine and I are working on plans to better insulate the house, too.
What’re y’all doing to stay warm, and what have you done to prep? Anything you wish you’d have done differently?
I need to get out more instead of lurking on the web. Where are some places I could go to discuss prepping with like-minded people?
What're some preps that Arkansans ought to have during the fall leading to winter?
While it's rare we don't get much snow, when winter precipitation does come, many towns essentially just shut down, causing the pre-weather panic to Walmart.
Hey, all. This is a new sub for Arkansans and our neighbors to get together and talk preps. It's going to look awful until I can figure out how to make it look less awful, so if any of y'all have experience getting subreddits to look nice, let me know and I'll be happy to add you to the mod list.
