Please find local organizations that are doing important work in your community. Find people that are helping others and join in. We need to build solidarity with each other. Form or join a labor union at your workplace. Help out at the community garden. Bring food to those who need it. Get involved in mutual aid to help each other. Make radical memes with your buddies and post em everywhere. Put class consciousness into conversations with your loved ones. However you think you can contribute. We all have skills and ideas that we can put to use. And whether you know them or not, there are like-minded people around you who are also eager to do something. Find them. Share your skills and knowledge with each other.
Voting isn't going to save us. These political parties aren't going to save us. Community and solidarity will. The rich and powerful don't want us to come together. So that's how we resist. If you don't know where to start, don't hesitate to ask. Good people across the state are doing what they can. I know of lots of groups concentrated in the bigger cities. Let's help them grow and spread that solidarity everywhere.
I'm interested in working to get more transportation reforms in the River Valley. Specifically, getting bicycle improvements put into place. Does anyone know of any groups working on that?
Welcome!
