And they still have some Single Barrel Kirkland 1 Liter for twenty nine, which is essentially a rebranded 1792 Single Barrel. That’s a great deal. Looks like they are burning through those pretty fast!

Campari's excellent website cost me $80, but I guess at least I got one.

But I didn’t realize everyone was panic shopping so it was crazy in there. They also had the Kirkland Single Barrel!

Still got a lot at Wally World on 83rd and Peoria. Limited one per person, 39.99.

On a business trip in Nashville. $40 for a 2oz pour. Not sure if that was a great value but was worth it to me. Very delicious.

Say your opening a little lounge that is gonna have food and drink that's a bit more "elevated" than the surrounding establishments but you don't want to be accused of being too pretentious or hipsters. Don't mind some criticism from the back row but dont want to end up a pariah. What 6 whiskey, bourbon and or rye's would you stock? Total not each. Has to cover the straight up, rocks and cocktails crowds. Any advice on this topic is greatly appreciated.

Went to Louisville for a music festival last weekend and picked up a few bottles. I bottled the KC9 myself and the store pick is a 9.5 year from Costco. Made for a logical side by side last night.

The KC9 is darker. Notes of cinnamon, oak, vanilla, and the classic beam nuttiness. The store pick is a little more grainy, notes of hay, a bit more caramel, lighter overall.

All in all, very much a case of same but different. I preferred the KC9, but both are excellent. Looking forward to working through the other bottles I brought back soon!

Any thoughts on these. I don't reach for it often, but I do quite enjoy Woodford DO and believe it's a pretty good value and one of the better always available bottles. That said, I never see any discussion of the store picks. Particularly when compared to common picks like EC, RR. KC, etc. Are they pretty solid?

What are your go-to beach bourbons/cocktails?

Hi everyone, not trying to throw any online groups or businesses under the bus so I’ll keep this as anonymous as I can for now. The jist of this question is, if you were to buy a bottle online (not cheap), not from a random website but a specific SiB whiskey group (I believe they’ve done 80+ picks), would you feel entitled to a refund or replacement if the bottle came opened and slightly leaky? This was a new to me group I was purchasing from and they are quite well known from what I understand. That being said, the order wasn’t fulfilled from the likes of Seelbachs, BourbonOutfiter etc. Hence, I bought shipping protection. With my unwavering luck the bottle of course came already opened and a bit leaky but not too terrible (cork and plastic still on but the paper over seal was visibly split and you could definitely see where the whiskey had leaked out). Just looking to see if anyone had anything similar happen to them and what their experience was like. If not, what would you do in my situation? I have reached out to the group about a refund/replacement but it doesn’t seem like either are on the table, am I crazy?
